The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) are at tonight's show. Nick says he has to get back in ring shape in time or else people will get hurt during their match. Meanwhile, The Young Bucks talk with Matt Hardy about their early years in the professional wrestling business. Meanwhile, Nick admits that he would not know where he would be without professional wrestling and says that their fanbase have a lot to do with that.
Sammy Guevara talks with Eddie Kingston in order to squash any beef with him after insulting him for calling him "a fat piece of shit" in a promo to the point that he got mad with Sammy backstage and got suspended, as he has to prove to the company that he is not a liablity in case he becomes a world champion. As Sammy tries to clear with Eddie Kingston, we then hear from Eddie, who says that what you see about him is what you get. Eddie tells Sammy that they have to be professionals and work with each other when they have to and move on. He admits that he does not know what it was about that day, and tells Sammy that everything is cool between them.
Britt and Saraya are seen talking about their upcoming live promo (with sound cut off as to maintain kayfabe). Britt and Saraya both hope that everything goes perfectly, especially Saraya, as she has not cut a promo due to being away from the ring for so long. Britt is hoping that the two of them can sell their match.
In San Antonio, Texas, Thunder Rosa sees a chiropractor concerning her back. She talks about the pain she has had throughout her nine years of wrestling, but her back injury has stopped her from doing a lot of things. She finds out that she has to get one more injection into her back as Thunder Rosa looks back on when she won the AEW Women's World Championship, and wishes that she enjoyed the moment more.
Three hours before Dynamite, Tay Melo is trying to figure out a heel storyline for her matches so that everyone has a reason to watch her wrestle. Tay talks about the main differences between competing in judo and competing in professional wrestling, and how pitching ideas for matches is an odd concept for her after competing in judo. Tay Melo runs the idea of working with Mercedes Martinez over the Ring of Honor Women's World Championship for the next pay-per-view by The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), who are also Executive Vice Presidents of AEW, in an attempt to get back into singles competition. The Bucks say that they will run it by Tony Khan.
Dynamite begins. Britt and Saraya have their live face-to-face promo. Both Britt and Saraya do not want this promo to fail, and Britt does not want to be blamed for that failure. Thankfully for the both of them, the promo is a big success.
Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo head to the ring for Sammy's match with "The American Nightmare" Bryan Danielson. The match is a success, and Bryan tells Sammy that he did well out there. Afterwards, Sammy says he feels lucky to be here after working multiple jobs while wrestling in the indies to get to this point and that he is "blessed to have this life" and cannot take it for granted. Tay Melo goes up to him and kisse shim and says "I knew you could do it!"

Meanwhile, Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo watch Sammy's promo leading into a two-out-of-three falls match with "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, then we hear from Tay Melo about how she got started in Judo when he was young, tried out for the Olympics and got discovered by WWE, and how she was originally supposed to be a face before she became a heel thanks to her relationship with Sammy. He admits that the recovery process has been pretty rough, as he has never been out of action for more than a month, and says that it will suck if he is not cleared for Full Gear. At the doctor's appointment, Austin finds out that the chances of being cleared in time for Full Gear is not likely. After the appointment, Austin knows that he could never wrestle again if he gets another concussion now. Both Austin and Britt agree that they do not want to go through this again. Austin apologizes to Britt for putting her through everything, but Britt says that there will be a time when he will return, even if it is not right now, and that everyone is in his corner.
