Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 25, 2023

Sami Callihan beats Shogun in the BTI match.

Chris Sabin beats "Speedball" Mike Bailey.

We hear from Trinity. She admits that she did not know what to expect from her debut, but she was giving a lot of love that she would never forget. She also admits things got intense between Jordynne Grace and "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo, and while one on them will walk out as champion this weekend, she has her own business to take care of "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw, who she says is more of drama queen than a diva who has Jai Vidal doing her dirty work. Trinity says she has won in her debut and looks forward to beating Gisele at Under Siege.

We see a video package for PCO vs. Steve Maclin for the IMPACT World Championship at Under Siege.

We hear from Steve Maclin, who states that wasted motion only gets one killed. He says that PCO will not be his opponent as Under Siege after what happened to him and that he will name his challenger for the title at Under Siege in the ring.

Nick Aldis guests on commentary for the next match.

Kenny King and Sheldon Jean beat Decay (Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus). After the match, Kenny King says that what happened to Decay is what happens to people who take him on. He then says he is happy that Nick Aldis got a front row seat before claiming he will shove his royal boot up Aldis' "pompous British ass." Nick Aldis says Kenny King can talk all he wants, but he has heard nothing about him and keeps his name in his mouth, and only wants to make a name for himself at his expense. He then says he needs to work his way up to being a man and not a little bitch, then says he trotted Sheldon Jean out just so he could tap out in five minutes before proposing a "2-for-1 bitchslap special." After Nick Aldis beats up Sheldon Jean, Kenny flees the ring and tells Aldis he will see him tomorrow.

Backstage, Jessicka's hourglass has nearly run out as Jessicka heads to the ring for a match.

Taylor Wilde quickly beats Havok. After the match, The Coven attacks Jessicka. After the match, the door to the Undead Realm opens, and Courtney Rush - not Rosemary - suddenly shows up and fights off The Coven just before time runs out. After The Coven flee, Rosemary and Courtney Rush hug.

Backstage, Jessicka Havok talks to Courtney Rush, who admits that she is the actual human form of Rosemary, who was wearing her body, then admits that Rosemary should be here and not here before saying that if she is here, then an adventure is going on. The two of them then become a tag team again.

Rich Swann beats Angels. After the match, Deaner and Kon attack Swann, then Sami Callihan shows up, grabs a bat from underneath the ring, and goes to work only to be outnumbered and overpowered by The Design (Deaner, Angels, Kon) before Deaner hits him with the bat.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo. She says she will give Jordynne Grace the benefit of the doubt after Jordynne accidentally attacked her, then Alisha Edwards shows up and tells Deonna she will see Jordynne's true colors.

Backstage, Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich brawl until Masha chokes out Kelly with an electrical cord.

Jordynne Grace beats Alisha Edwards in seconds with the Grace Driver.

We hear from Dirty Dango, who says he watched during the Attitude Era while most of the locker room is from "The Gratitude Era" and don't want to be starters. He says he does not need to be in IMPACT because he gets money elsewhere, then says everyone is too preoccupied with social media than the live crowd, which tells him that the business is heading towards hard times. He says that if they were men like him, he would not be as concerned. Dango then says people pay to see him and that he is a star and that he is money. Dango also considers Santino Marella a joke that is stuck in 2010, then says he used to like Joe Hendry until realizing he is "just another stooge" with "a toy belt" and like everyone else.

We see a video package for the six-way match to determine a #1 contender for the Impact World Championship at Under Siege.

Chris Bey beats John Skyler after fighting off Brian Myers.

Steve Maclin heads to the ring. He says that his World title match with PCO at Under Siege is not happening, as while PCO is not human, he is dead because he killed him. He then states he will defend the IMPACT World Championship against an opponent of his own choosing, who is the most up-and-coming talent in Impact: Champagne Singh. Champagne Singh and Shera heads to the ring. Singh says he will finish his story on "the long and winding road to the World Championship" at Under Siege only to get booed. Singh then unrolls a paper containing names of people he wants to thank, but he only mentions Gama Singh before Scott D'Amore shows up.Singh says that he has D'Amore's name on the list and says D'Amore can put pen to paper and make the match official, but D'Amore says that this match is not happening. Maclin accuses D'Amore of stacking the deck against him to take the World title away from him at any cost, but D'Amore says his paranoia has taken over before saying the person he really wants as champion is the best in the world. Maclin says it is him, but D'Amore says he has to compete with the best to prove that, as iron sharpens iron and Singh is "far from iron." He says that he is fine with Maclin being world champion as long as he proves himself night in and night out. Maclin says he proved himself by becoming the champion and mentions D'Amore throwing the title into his face when he won it. D'Amore apologizes and offers to shake his hand and hand him the belt respectfully if he wins at Under Siege. Maclin says the time came and went at Rebellion, then tells Scott D'Amore to give him the respect he deserves, for as long as he is champion, D'Amore title means nothing and the world title means he is his boss. He says that D'Amore will know his place and put the title around his waist if he wins, and D'Amore obliges. Maclin says it is time he came to his senses, then wants to know who PCO's replacement is. D'Amore says there is no replacement because he will face PCO. D'Amore then says that PCO is here tonight, and the lights go out. PCO is in the ring when the lights come back on, and Maclin retreats before PCO lays out Singh and Shera. Maclin then screams "I killed you!" to PCO, who screams "You can't kill me!" back.
