Generation NXT - NXT recap for October 31, 2018

Nikki Cross beats Mercedes Martinez. After the match, Nikki Cross smiles at Martinez, saying "That was fun." After Mercedes Martinez, Candice LeRae - who is sporting a whole new look - confronts Nikki Cross for "ruining her and Johnny Gargano's lives," and Nikki rolls out of the ring laughing. Before she can make it to the back, however, she is met by Aleister Black, who then slowly looks towards the ring before approaching it. Aleister gets in the ring, then Candice LeRae approaches him. Aleister wants to know where Gargano is, saying that Gargano's future in NXT is gone.

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) beat The Mighty (Nick Miller and Shane Thorne) and take back their gold chains and black-and-gold Solo cup.

Cathy Kelley interviews General Manager William Regal, who announces that Tommaso Ciampa will defend the NXT Championship against The Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver: War Games 2018. Aleister Black then shows up, demanding to know where Johnny Gargano is. Regal tells him he told Gargano to stay at home, and tells Aleister he will face him at War Games. Aleister tells Regal that he will make Gargano's future fade to black.

Outside of the arena, Lars Sullivan is seen throwing things everywhere. He says that the NXT Championship match at War Games is his, not Velveteen Dream's, and that he has no problem tearing Dream in half before War Games.

Matt Riddle beats Luke Menzies by submission in his NXT debut.

In footage from after WWE Evolution, "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler is being interviewed when Kairi Sane is seen being held back by a backstage worker. She, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir all walk away.

Next week: Lacey Evans live! Velveteen Dream vs. Lars Sullivan!

British Strong Style (Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch) beat Raul Mendoza and Humberto Carrillo.

Backstage, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) brag about being on top of the world and having Bobby Fish back in the fold. Bobby Fish says he was born ready, and Cole says they are all ready and back at 100%. As Cole continues to speak, The Undisputed Era is attacked from behind by War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe). The brawl between The Undisputed Era and War Raiders goes outside, and The Undisputed Era has the numbers advantage. Ricochet runs out and hits The Undisputed Era as a whole before going at it with Adam Cole. The brawl then makes its way into the arena, and The Undisputed Era gets the advantage again in the ring until Pete Dunne shows up with a steel chair. After Ricochet, Pete Dunne and War Raiders get the advantage again, General Manager William Regal storms out and puts all eight men in the brawl in a War Games Match.
