Generation NXT - NXT recap for October 3, 2018

The show begins with Nikki Cross wanting to play a game with Bianca Belair again, hoping that Bianca isn't afraid as she did not behave last time. Nikki also claims "I know."

Lacey Evans beats Candice LeRae with The Women's Right after sullying Candice's husband Johnny Gargano's name, saying Candice is a loser just like her husband to rile her up.

We see a video package for the NXT North American Championship Triple Threat Match between Adam Cole, Pete Dunne and Ricochet for next week.

We see a vignette for The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler, Jaxson Ryker), who are coming up next.

We hear from Tommaso Ciampa, who says that when you are at the top, "they" will always try to chop you down by talking, speculating and lying in order to steal the spotlight for themselves. He says it is to hide their own tracks and their own guilt, and says Velveteen Dream's name is fitting as he is living in a dream world by thinking he attacked Aleister Black, but they both know what Aleister experienced. Ciampa warns The Dream to be careful, to keep his accusations and insinuations to himself and to stay out of his spotlight, for he is the one who ended the fairy tale and exposed the mystique, and he might turn the Dream into a nightmare.

The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler, Jaxson Ryker) beat Vinny Mixon, Cesar Rise and Torry Kirsh. Before the match, it is noted that Steve Cutler is wearing a face protector following The Forgotten Sons' recent match against Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford).

We see a video package of "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler training for the NXT Women's Championship match against Kairi Sane at Evolution.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese, who says that is is time that he took over NXT after proving he is a premier athlete on 205 Live.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Bianca Belair, who says she is not here to play and that it is all about what she wants, as she is still undefeated and that is not changing anytime soon. She says Nikki Cross had the chance to run away, but now she has to beat her and stay undefeated.

Johnny Gargano beats "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese in a well-received match with the Garga-No Escape.

We see a video package where British Strong Style (Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch) talk about how they first met each other in NXT, got a shot at the NXT tag team titles, Oney Lorcan's orbital bone injury and their future in NXT.

In two weeks: Nikki Cross vs. Bianca Belair! Next week: Keith Lee vs. "The Finest" Kona Reeves! Adam Cole vs. Pete Dunne vs. Ricochet for the NXT North American Championship!
