Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for October 24, 2018

"The Savage" Jake Strong beats Hernandez, "The Darewolf" PJ Black, Big Bad Steve, Aerostar, King Cuerno and Dante Fox in a Seven To Survive Match to win the Lucha Underground Gift of the Gods Championship! After the match, "The Savage" Jake Strong snaps Dante Fox's ankle with another ankle lock.

During the match:

• Hernandez is eliminated following a backslide pin by Dante Fox
• "The Darewolf" PJ Black is eliminated following an ankle lock by "The Savage" Jake Strong (who proceeds to break said ankle)
• Aerostar is raised to balcony level with the help of a forklift - with traffic directed by Drago in a bright yellow safety vest and a hard hat with horns - to hit a flying cross body to the ring on King Cuerno and Big Bad Steve to pin Big Bad Steve
• Aerostar is eliminated following an ankle lock by "The Savage" Jake Strong (who is stopped by King Cuerno before he can break said ankle)
• King Cuerno is eliminated following the Fox Catcher by Dante Fox
• Dante Fox is eliminated following an ankle lock by "The Savage" Jake Strong

Johnny Mundo is seen practicing his moves on the rooftop of the temple. Suddenly, a bright light appears, and Aerostar appears. He tells Mundo that no amount of training will prepare him for "The Monster" Matanza Cueto. He tells him that if he faces him alone, it will be his funeral, and he will be another sacrifice to the gods without his help. Mundo says he does not need his help given his performance tonight, but Aerostar calls for Drago, reminding Mundo that he saved his oldest friend and that he wants to repay the favor. In Drago's hands is the Gauntlet of the Gods, which Mundo reluctantly puts on only to find out that he feels like a god. Drago asks Aerostar if this is a good idea, but Aerostar tells him only time will tell.
