205:Alive - 205 Live recap for October 17, 2018

Akira Tozawa beats Drew Gulak by disqualification after "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher trips Tozawa off the top rope prior to the top rope senton. After the match, Gallagher and Gulak take the boots to Tozawa, then The Brian Kendrick runs in and overpowers them. Gulak has to pull Gallagher out of the ring as well as a Captain's Hook. Kendrick then helps a reluctant Tozawa up.



Backstage, General Manager Drake Maverick congratulates Buddy Murphy on winning the Cruiserweight title, and is hopeful for the future. Tony Nese says that he will win tonight and prove that the future runs through them.

We hear from Mike and Maria Kanellis, who say that attacking Lince Dorado was just business and that when they had an opportunity to come to 205 Live, they had to capitalize on that. Mike Kanellis says that this is part of a bigger plan that involves becoming the WWE Cruiserweight Champion as well as the face of 205 Live.

Backstage, Hideo Itami says something in Japanese, then tells Mustafa Ali should have walked away and shown him respect, and that in their Falls Count Anywhere Match, he will end his career. We then hear from Mustafa Ali, who says that he and Hideo Itami have been on this road for far too long and that they should find a new road. He says that on this road, the road ends with him and there is nowhere to go. He says on this road, Hideo Itami will only find redemption, not respect, and that where he lays, he will stand.
