Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 29, 2018

Acting General Manager Baron Corbin is in the ring with the WWE Universal Championship to start tonight's show. Corbin says last week was touching, but that was last week and that life goes on. He wishes Roman Reigns the best of luck, then says he hopes he doesn't return to Raw as the Universal title looks good on him. As Corbin says that Roman made his job as Acting General Manager very difficult, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up. Corbin introduces Lesnar and Heyman, then Heyman cuts him off to introduce Lesnar himself. Heyman says we are living in historic times, as history will be made again when Lesnar takes the WWE Universal Championship back home and places it over his massive shoulders. To do that, he must beat Braun Strowman, and Heyman says that at Crown Jewel, Lesnar will beat Strowman, saying that is a spoiler, not a prediction. He says he does not give a guarantee very often, especially when something historical is going to happen in the vein of championship sports games and media awards shows, and guarantees that Lesnar will be Universal Champion once again. Heyman then announces that on Friday, people will see history unfold before their very eyes. Strowman then shows up. He warns Lesnar that he will become the new Universal Champion at Crown Jewel, because Lesnar is going to get these hands. Baron Corbin tries to hold Strowman back, but gets a running power slam for his efforts. Lesnar smiles in the corner, then Strowman turns around, grabs Corbin and hits him with another power slam. Lesnar grins even more when Strowman tells him this is his future, then - at both Lesnar and the fans' insistence - Corbin gets one more power slam, then Strowman turns around and runs right into an F5 by Lesnar, who is behind him in wait. Lesnar then lifts up the Universal Championship before tossing it on top of Strowman and leaving with Heyman.

Before the next match, Lio Rush says that Finn Balor is not as extraordinary as he thinks he is, that Balor got lucky last week when he beat Bobby Lashley, that Finn Balor is overconfident, and that Lashley will beat him tonight and everyone knows it.

Finn Balor beats Bobby Lashley by disqualification after Lio Rush pushes Finn Balor off the top rope not once, but twice, during the Coup De Grace. After that match, Lashley continues to attack Balor, repeatedly ramming him into both the barricade and the ring apron before getting him back in the ring for a full nelson while Lio Rush taunts and slaps Finn Balor.

Backstage, Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley meet with Acting General Manager Bobby Corbin, who compliments them on what they did to Finn Balor. For this, Lashley qualifies for the WWE World Cup, replacing John Cena, whom Corbin said never qualified. (In reality, Cena is out of the event, as he refuses to go to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel due to the political turmoil caused by the murder of reporter Jamal Khashoggi in the country.)

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch in a Women's Champion vs. Women's Champion match is official for Survivor Series. We then see footage from after Evolution where Ronda and Becky meet, with both women saying they will see each other soon.

Lita, Trish Stratus, Natalya, Sasha Banks and Bayley beat Mickie James, Alicia Fox and The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan) with a Sharpshooter to Alicia Fox.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Nia Jax. Nia says that when she will be waiting for "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey after Ronda makes Becky Lynch tap after Survivor Series. Kayla then interviews Ember Moon. Ember Moon talks about last night's battle royal, but Nia Jax reminds her that she won. Both women respect each other, and after Ember Moon challenges Nia, Nia not only accepts, but says she'll beat her again.

Elias is in the ring. Elias says that everything he says is the truth, and that he will send everyone to the promised land as they find out that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias." He says he came to Charlotte, North Carolina because "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair wanted to meet him, and that Flair told him that he is the man after what he did to Acting General Manager Baron Corbin. After the guitar shot to Baron Corbin's back is replayed, Elias says that as much as it pained him to break a guitar, it felt good. He says that Corbin might not be able to make it to the ring, but Corbin is not getting off that easily. Elias then says he will bring the song he has in mind for Baron Corbin, and heads to the back to look for him. Backstage, Elias refuses to play a song for Dana Brooke, asks a guy with a cake to take the cake to his dressing room, then finds Corbin's dressing room and plays the guitar outside the door while Corbin is in the room. Elias proceeds to mock Baron Corbin in song, Corbin bursts through the door. When Elias is about call him "Stephanie's bitch," Corbin slams the door, then Jinder Mahal attacks Elias. Corbin then walks back into the hallway, then laughs at Elias for getting ambushed by Jinder before telling him to get back in the ring for his encore.

Elias beats Jinder Mahal.

The bracket for the WWE World Cup is revealed, then we see a video package of Kurt Angle talking about his career as well as why he wants to win the World Cup. Angle says he has heard that people think he is out of his mind for thinking he can win the World Cup, and admits he may have been in the past. Nevertheless, the WWE World Cup is within his grasp, and he is coming back to prove he is the best in the world.

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable beat The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) and AOP (Akam and Rezar) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match. After the match, AOP decimate their opposition in the match.

Sick kids from Children's Hospital Dallas in Dallas, Texas offer encouraging words to Roman Reigns, who is currently battling leukemia.

We see a video package of the events between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins from last week's main event.

Seth Rollins shows up. Seth thanks the fans for all their love and encouragement to Roman Reigns on Roman's behalf, then talks about becoming a Raw tag champ for the third time last week. Unfortunately, Dean Ambrose is not in the ring with him because he turned his back on him as well as the fans, and Rollins admits he feels a little guilty and that maybe it is his fault after the things he did four years ago. He says Dean is the only one with the answers, but the problem is that Dean has his ways of making sure he isn't found. Seth then says he has waited until tonight, when he knew he would be in the building, and simply asks why. Dean Ambrose's entrance theme plays, but Dean doesn't show up. All of a sudden, Dean Ambrose is seen in the crowd, and Seth tells him to face him in the ring like a man and give him the answers he deserves. Dean refuses, and Seth tells him that he at least had the decency to tell him why he stabbed him in the back four years ago. Dean pulls out a microphone but refuses to speak, and Seth responds by saying Dean is "a cold-hearted bastard." Seth says Dean spit on everything The Shield stood for and made it all about him, and if Dean wants the spotlight so badly, he's got it, and he will make his life a living hell. He then calls Dean "a soulless lunatic," saying it's not just a nickname anymore. Seth says that if Dean doesn't want to get in the ring, then Dean can stay in the crowd and he can beat an answer out of him. Dean walks away as Seth is about to walk up the stands.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush. Lio Rush says the WWE World Cup is about dominating the field of competition and adding another trophy to Bobby Lashley's reputation. He says that nobody is a match for Lashley, and when your look, smell and actions are all like money, it is easy to prove you are the best in the world.

Nia Jax beats Ember Moon after Tamina shows up, distracting Ember Moon. After the match, Tamina and Nia Jax stare down, then Tamina walks away.

The Lucha House Party (Kalisto and Lince Dorado) beat The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) in their Raw debut.

Before the next match, Dolph Ziggler says he has the eyes on the prize in the form of the WWE World Cup at Crown Jewel. Drew McIntyre says that now that The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) are broken, his full undivided attention is the WWE Universal Championship match. Ziggler says the winner will face McIntyre's wrath, then says he has looked up to Kurt Angle throughout his life. He says that without guys like Angle, guys like him would not exist in WWE. He then tells Angle that he is no Dolph Ziggler, and that he will cement his legacy when he wins the WWE World Cup. As for tonight, he will give an example of what will happen at Crown Jewel, and says he is the best in the world.

Dolph Ziggler beats Apollo Crews after getting the knees up to block a top rope frog splash to hit a superkick.

The Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker and Kane) show up. The Undertaker says it is not easy to heed his call and say goodbye to reach the end, but when the reaper calls, no matter how hard you fight, it is your time to go. Kane says that in the distance, they can hear their names being whispered, and as time went by, it got louder and the whisper became a deafening cry. The Undertaker then says that this Friday at Crown Jewel, he and Kane will take the beaten, battered souls of D-Generation X (Triple H and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels) for the first time and the last time to the fiery gates of Hell. He says it will not be swift; instead, it will be slow, agonizing pain; it will not just be the end of an era, but the end of an error. Kane then says that is this Friday; tonight, Triple H and Shawn are being summoned to the ring right now. The Undertaker says they plan to take their souls for eternity, so they can never rest in peace. D-Generation X then show up...almost. Triple H shows up first, while Shawn shows up from the crowd to hit Sweet Chin Music on The Undertaker as Kane is distracted by Triple H. The Undertaker then sits up as DX celebrate at the bottom of the ramp, and DX walks backwards up the ramp.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
