Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 4, 2017

John Cena beats Jason Jordan. After the match, Roman Reigns shows up, and says he has one question for Cena: If Cena is who he says he is, then why does it take him 20 minutes to beat a rookie? If Cena is who he says he is, he would have beat him right out the gate. He chalks it up to Cena being a liar, and says Cena is not as good as he says he is and that he proved his point. He then calls Cena "a lyin' fake-ass little bitch." Cena tells Roman that using his brain is not his strong suit, and says he will get his answers at No Mercy, saying he will get beat either by a guy who lost a step or a guy who's been stringing him along for weeks, waltzing along, mistake after mistake just waiting for the right time to chop him down to size. Cena calls Roman a know-it-all golden boy who needs to be taught respect , and says he has more respect for The Miz and Jason Jordan. Cena makes it clear to Roman: he does not respect him and how he waltzes out saying he is the guy and that this is his yard and calling him a "fake-ass bitch," and that the only faker is him. Cena then says he has to beat some sense into him, and Roman dares him to do it right here, right now, going so far as to ask the crowd if they want to see Cena beat his ass right now and back up his words. Cena does not act, and Roman says this is why he does not respect him, as he is all talk.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins guest on commentary for the next match.

Sheamus and Cesaro beat Heath Slater and Rhyno. Before the match, it is announced that Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will defend the Raw tag team titles against Sheamus and Cesaro at No Mercy.

Renee Young interviews The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy). Matt says tonight is a beautiful night for a new Intercontinental Champion. Jeff says it is about a rebirth, as he and Matt wrestle each match like it is their first, but also wrestle each match like it could be their last. Tonight, he either burns out in a blaze of glory or become the new Intercontinental Champion. Matt says if The Miztourage (Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Maryse) get involved, they will meet a wonderful Twist of Fate.

The Miz retains the WWE Intercontinental Championshp against Jeff Hardy. During the match, Matt Hardy and The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) are ejected from ringside by the referee after Matt Hardy goes after The Miztourage for attempted interference.

It is announced that Alexa Bliss will have her rematch for the WWE Raw Women's Championship against Sasha Banks at No Mercy.

Nia Jax wants to know from General Manager Kurt Angle why Alexa Bliss gets a rematch for the Raw Women's title before she gets a shot. Angle says it's a contractually obligated rematch, but Nia Jax is not happy about that. Suddenly, Emma shows up, wanting a shot at the title as well and says it's time for a new hashtag: #GiveEmmaAChanceAtTheWomensTitle. Nia Jax says the new hastag will be #PutEmmaInTheHospital. Angle stops them before they can start arguing, and puts them on the same side in a tag team match against Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks. If Alexa and Sasha win, their match for the title at No Mercy remains one-on-one. If Nia and Emma win, the match will be a atal Four-Way and Emma and Nia will officially be a part of the match.

We look back at the match between Big Show and Braun Strowman from back in April.

Before the next match, Enzo Amore says if you're not cheating, you're not trying. He is not taking anything away from anyone in the cruiserweight division, but everyone is working harder while he is working smarter and 205 Live is one of the realest hours on television today now that he is here. He then introduces his tag team partners - and his opponents - as only he knows how.

Enzo Amore, Cedric Alexander and Gran Metalik beat "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese, Drew Gulak and Noam Dar after Enzo thumbs Gulak in the eye as the referee is busy with Cedric Alexander.

Dasha Banks and Alexa Bliss talk in the locker room. Neither of them do not like the fact that Nia Jax and Emma are sticking their noses in their match, but Sasha tells Alexa she needs her or else their title hopes get a lot harder. Alexa tells Sasha to check her ego at the door, while Sasha tells Alexa she will make her scream when she makes her tap out at No Mercy.

Finn Balor shows up. Finn Balor says the NXT and Universal Championships looked good around his waist, and says the Intercontinental title would have looked good to, if it were not for Bray Wyatt. Even though he won at SummerSlam, you never truly beat someone like Bray. The next time he appears, he will be ready, as he is not afraid of him. He does not run from his demons, and sometimes, he becomes them. Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron, and talks about he went hunting and made his first bow and arrow kill. He was good at it, but he got bored because it became too easy. He started using his bare hands, which were judge, jury and executioner...and the verdict was always guilty. He made a choice, and it made and defined who he was and what his purpose was, which he knows. He says that Finn Balor did not win at SummerSlam; the Demon did, and the Demon is his bow and arrow. He tells hiim to put down his weapon and face him man-to-man at No Mercy, make that choice and define his destiny. Finn Balor says he knows who he is and that he has made his choice, and that he is Finn Balor. Bray calls Finn the confident hero everyone dreams of becoming, but wonders if Finn will either topple a god or run scared like a rabbit.

Emma and Nia Jax beat Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss to continue to the Raw Women's Championship match at No Mercy. After the match, Nia and Emma high-five each other, then Nia hits Emma with a Samoan Drop.

Renee Young interviews Braun Strowman, who wants to know what General Manager Kurt Angle is thinking putting him in a steel cage match with Big Show. The last time he and show met, they destroyed the ring. This time, they are surrounded by thousands of pounds of steel. Strowman says he doesn't see Angle putting Brock Lesnar in a steel cage before No Mercy, and promises to toss Big Show around the ring tonight to send a message to Angle, Big Show and Brock Lesnar.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins come across Elias playing guitar backstage.

Sheamus and Cesaro are seen arguing with Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) before the match.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins beat Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) after Sheamus and Cesaro get involved. Gallows & Anderson push Sheamus and Cesaro out of the ring after the match, then get back in the ring and fight them.

We see a video package for Connor's Cure.

Enzo Amore celebrates his win with Cedric Alexander and Gran Metalik when Neville shows up. He says that he has spoken with General Manager Kurt Angle, and that they have all qualified for a Fatal 5-Way on 205 Live tomorrow night, with the winner facing him for the Cruiserweight title at No Mercy.

Charly Caruso interviews John Cone, who talks about the match between Braun Strowman and Big Show in April and how it felt to be in the ring that night. He says the ring is double-reinforced, but he still has no idea what to expect and is staying out of the way.

Renee Young interviews Big Show. He says he has faced every conceivable opponent in the last 23 years, but no one like Braun Strowman. He knows what the steel cage feels like, and says he will scrape him when he runs him across the steel cage walls. He knows Strowman wants to put him to pasture, but he tells him that to do that, he will have to break him, which nobody has done in 23 years. Braun Strowman may call himself "a monster among men," but he is "The World's Largest Athlete."

Tomorrow night on 205 Live: Enzo Amore, Cedric Alexander, Gran Metalik, "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese and The Brian Kendrick in a Fatal 5-Way Match where the winner faces Neville for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at No Mercy!

Braun Strowman beats Big Show in a Steel Cage Match. After the match, he says that if he can do this to Big Show, imagine what he can do to Brock Lesnar. He says that at No Mercy, what happened to Big Show will be Lesnar's future while he becomes WWE Universal Champion. He then grabs Big Show and plows him through a cage wall - breaking it in the process - with a running powerslam.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
