Generation NXT - NXT recap for September 27, 2017

General Manager William Regal announces that the new NXT Women's Champion will be decided in a Fatal 4-Way at NXT TakeOver. One of the women in the match will be Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane. A series of matches in the coming weeks will determine the other three women in that match.

SAnitY (Eric Young, Alexander Wulfe, Nikki Cross, Killian Dain) shows up from all over the arena. Eric Young says they wrote the book on making a mark, and that time and space do not exist, nor does it matter. He says that all that matters is chaos, and all that is for sure is change. Eric Young then says he will take Adam Cole to the edge of sanity.

Before the next match, Christy St. Cloud interviews Oney Lorcan. Oney doesn't like Lars or what he does to guys like No Way Jose. He then says it's time to see what Lars Sullivan can do to him.

Lars Sullivan beats Oney Lorcan. After the match, Lars Sullivan is about to destroy Oney Lorcan again when Danny Burch saves Lorcan from destruction.

Kayla Braxton interviews Ruby Riot. Nikki Cross is not a friend, and she doesn't even know why she helped her. Whenever she sees her, she's trying to punch her in the face. If Billie Kay and Peyton Royce want a fight, they're going to get one. If Nikki Cross shows up again, she has nothing to do with it, but she had better stay out of her way.

Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovic) beat Demetrius Bronson and Patrick Scott.

In footage from earlier today, General Manager William Regal tells Johnny Gargano he will get his match with Andrade "Cien" Almas in two weeks.

We see Christy St. Cloud interview Roderick Strong in footage from earlier today. Roddy says he is training for his match with Drew McIntyre like he does every other match. He says that he can see the fear in Drew McIntyre. He knows that Drew keeps getting back up and moving forward. Roddy says that this time, the outcome will be different, as he never stops and Drew does not have the tenacity to stop him. He could tell Drew this is business, but this is very personal. He says he will come at him with everything he has and will not stop until he is NXT Champion.

Liv Morgan beats Vanessa Borne.

We see footage from earlier today where Aleister Black is traning in the WWE Performance Center. Aleister Black says in this age of individuality, there is always one who thinks they are more unique or special. Left to their own device, they antagonize the horde, but they all want recognition. He refuses to acknowledge a child who holds his breath or throws a tantrum to get what they want or to get his attention. He says if Velveteen Dream thinks this will work, he is sadly mistaken.

We get a closer look at Fabian Aichner, who lost to "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher in round one of The Cruiserweight Classic. His match with Kassius Ohno is up next.

Kassius Ohno beats Fabian Aichner.

Drew McIntyre says if anyone wants a shot at the NXT title, all they have to do is ask. He says that Roderick Strong earned his shot, and says he is good enough to be NXT Champion. He says next week might be his first defense, but it will not be his last.

We get a closer look at Kairi Sane.

Before the next match, Adam Cole asks how NXT survived without him, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish. He says he feels something in the air that is new, and asks the fans in the building to focus and feel it. What they feel is change and a shock to the system...and it is them. Cole says they are untouchable, unstoppable and undisputed. He says this is their era.

Adam Cole beats Eric Young in his NXT debut match thanks to the distraction by Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish.
