Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for September 9, 2017

"The Villain" Marty Scurll guests on commentary this week. Scurll will be taking on Chuckie T at Death Before Dishonor in two weeks.

Bully Ray shows up. He says he has accomplished a lot in his career, but this is the first time he is in Atlanta, Georgia with Ring of Honor. He says ROH has been around for 15 years, and he is proud to say that he has been a fan - like so many others - since day one. When he came to ROH, he knew that The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Brisco) was the best team here, and he wanted to be part of the team. But as of late, Jay has been a little crazy and a little off-the-wall as they have won and lost the Six-Man Tag Team titles, but they have one more goal in mind. At Death Before Dishonor, he and The Briscoes will be on the same team, beat The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O'Ryan, Vinny Marseglia) and reclaim the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships.

It is announced that The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O'Ryan, Vinny Marseglia) have won the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships after beating Dalton Castle and The Boys for the titles at War of the Worlds UK in Edinburgh, UK on August 17th.

Will Ferrara comes out of the crowd and attacks Cheeseburger from behind before the start of the next match.

Will Ferrara beats Cheeseburger after Cheeseburger passes out from . After the match, Ferrara puts Cheeseburger in the move again, then Rhett Titus shows up. He confronts Ferrara for his actions, then after Ferrara takes the boots to Cheeseburger, he joins him in them.

Caprice Coleman hosts another edition of Coleman's Pulpit, complete with jazzy, upbeat music, church-related props and an actual pulpit. He asks people to send in questions via Twitter with #ColemansPulpit, and says that "jive turkeys" will not be allowed on his show.

Jay Lethal vs. "The Last Real Man" Silas Young in a Last Man Standing Match is official for Death Before Dishonor after both men fought until they were completely spent at War of the Worlds UK in Edinburgh, UK.

"The Last Real Man" Silas Young beats "Cauliflower" Chase Brown. After the match, Silas continues to attack Chase Brown. Jay Letha rushes into the ring to break this attack up, and security rushes in as immediately as Lethal does to keep both Lethal and Silas separated. As Silas leaves, Lethal asks him what he thinks he is doing taking his anger out on others, and says he will make sure he never puts anyone in the hospital like he did him ever again. He proposes that they not wait until Death Before Dishonor, and dares him to get in the ring right now. Silas says Lethal may be used to getting everything on a silver platter, but he has beaten Lethal on every kind of match he can, and says he is waiting until everybody can see it live on pay-per-view just so ROH can see that he deserves all the opportunities that have been given to Lethal. As he speaks, Lethal says that "The Last Real Man" is more like "The Last Real Little Boy." At Death Before Dishonor, it will be Last Man Standing, or in his case, "The Last Real Man Standing."

Matt Sells interviews "The American Nightmare" Cody. Cody says he should be thanking him, as he will tell him his thoughts instead of making him kiss his Ring of Honor. Cody says he has trained in every way possible to prepare for Minoru Suzuki. Sells asks if he regrets making his open challenge to anyone like Suzuki. Cody says he does not regret it, as these challenges go along with his name and lineage. He then makes Sells kiss the ring, which he does.

We see backstage footage from War of the Worlds UK in Edinburgh, UK, where The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and "The Villain" Marty Scurll mock Dalton Castle before "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes attacks him from behind. After Cody lays Castle out, he calls Castle "a novelty act" before saying he himself is a world champion.

It is announced that Jay White and Punishment Martinez will square off in a Las Vegas Street Fight at Death Before Dishonor.

The card for Death Before Dishonor is run down.

Search And Destroy (Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Jay White, Jonathan Gresham) beat Bullet Club (Tama Tonga, Tonga Roa, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson). After the match, it is announced that The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) will face The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) for the ROH World Tag Team Championships at Death Before Dishonor.
