Impact Wrestling One Night Only: GFW Amped Anthology, Part 2 - The Results

Here's another review by Larry Csonka.

Note: These shows are over two years old at the time of premiere. They were meant for a weekly television program that was never picked up. Commentary in this program has been changed to reflect current events.

EPISODE FIVE

Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) beat Los Luchas (Zokre and Phoenix Star) to advance in the GFW Tag Team Championship tournament.

We see a video package for Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson).

Jeff Jarrett shows up. He thanks the fans, the arena, and the GFW locker room. He was raised in this business and was a fan before he got into the business. He hypes Shelton Benjamin, Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Lance Archer) and Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson). Suddenly, Bobby Roode shows up. (It is here that new commentary is added, noting that Roode has been a champion everywhere, including NXT, and calling him the glorious one. This strikes a nerve with fans when the shows are finally played here, and fans accuse GFW/Impact Wrestling of making it look like Roode is coming back to the company when he is not.) Roode says Jarrett makes him sick for "walking away from a real company" in TNA. He also says no one cares about Bullet Club because he is the only star here. He goes on to say that used to play by Jarrett’s rules and beat his "boy" last time he was here. Jarrett books him in the GFW Global Championship Tournament against Eric Young.

We see a video package for Brian Myers. Chris Mordetsky says he’s the prime time player while Myers is more of a role player.

Chris Mordetsky beats Brian Myers with the to advance in the GFW Global Championship tournament and face Nick Aldis. (Once again, the commentary is changed before reaching pay-per-view, with Myers being mentioned as currently in WWE.)

EPISODE SIX

Teaze 'n Sleaze (Juicy Joey and Kenny Klimx) beat Cielo and Mysterioso Jr. to advance in the GFW Tag Team Championship tournament. (Before the match, Juicy Joey and Kenny Klimx - aka Joey Ryan and Kenny King, respectively - have their respective recent activity mentioned on commentary. Joey Ryan's appearance on GLOW on Netflix and Kenny King's appearance on The Bachelor are mentioned despite the entire program being taped two years ago.)

We see a video package for Shelton Benjamin.

We see an "in memoriam" segment for "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who had recently passed away at the time of the tapings. Jeff Jarrett and Brett Greenwald, writer and star of The Masked Saint, the last film Piper acted in before his death, make their way to the ring. Jarrett talks about looking up to Piper while growing up, while Greenwald talks about a time on the set of The Masked Saint where Piper repeatedly yelled the F-word (which is interesting considering it is a Christian film). After footage of Piper talking about the movie as well as a trailer for The Masked Saint, a ten-bell salute is given for Piper.

We see a video package for TJ Perkins.

We see a video package for JR Kratos.

Shelton Benjamin beats JR Kratos to advance in the GFW Global Championship tournament.

EPISODE SEVEN

We see a video package for Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson).

We see a video package for Andrew Everett.

TJ Perkins beats Andrew Everett with an Arm Bar to advance in the GFW NEX*GEN Championship tournament.

We see another video package for Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson).

Bobby Roode shows up. He says he would rather be anywhere else than in Las Vegas, Nevada for GFW; however, as the TNA King of the Mountain Champion, it is his duty to be here. He says that Jeff Jarrett continues to play games with him. He says that he is s here to be a champion, and that he has played Jarrett's game by submitting Kevin Kross. Now, he has to face Eric Young. He talks about how they broke into the business together only for Eric Young to now be insane. He refuses to go through with the match, saying Young belongs in an asylum. Eric Young shows up, and Roode retreats as Young promises to be Roode's worst nightmare and a world-class maniac. Roode gets back in the ring, and both men brawl. Officials have to separate both men as Young fights back.

It is reported that Shelton Benjamin has been concussed and that he may be out of the GFW Global Championship tournament.

We see a video package for Nick Aldis.

Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) beat Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Lance Archer) to advance in the GFW Tag Team Championship tournament.

EPISODE EIGHT

The Akbars (Ali and Omar Akbar) show up, claiming that they are being discriminated against, and that they will project their hate against Sonjay Dutt and Los Luchas (Zokre and Phoenix Star).

PJ Black and The Akbars (Ali and Omar Akbar) beat Sonjay Dutt and Los Luchas (Zokre and Phoenix Star), then continue to attack them after the match.

Chael Sonnen is in the ring. He brings out Chris Mordetsky, who he calls "the future of GFW." Sonnen puts him on a pedestal as they they talk about Sonnen beating down "a crappy British fighter" named Michael Bisping, and how Mordetsky will beat down one as well in Nick Aldis. Mordetsky says that after he beats Aldis, he will go to Aldis' house, slap Mickie James in the ass and tell her to make him a steak. Aldis arrives, and says Mordetsky looks like a guy who is about to be bitch slapped, and says if Aldis mentions Mickie again, he will shove a shoe up his ass. Mordetsky beats Aldis up and puts him in the Master Lock.
