The Mae Young Classic - Episode 5

The sixteen competitors of the second round are seen standing alongside the Mae Young Classic trophy at the beginning of the show.

We hear from Abbey Leith, who talks about how she has traveled around the world for eight years to make it here. She says it is a crazy feeling to have made it to the biggest stage. We then hear from Rachel Evers, who says that this is big opportunity her to show what she can do. She knows that Abbey is talented, but she is not fazed. Abbey says this isn't her first uphill battle, and that she will do whatever it takes to win.

Kassius Ohno is seen in the front row before the next match.

Abbey Leith beats Rachel Evers to continue to the quarter-finals. Both women show respect after the match.



We hear from Serena Deeb, who says she is more dangerous than anyone in the tournament due to the experience that she has. We also hear from Piper Niven, who says it is all about being a bad-ass. She loves bringing her aggression to the ring, and says she can do things women half her size cannot do. Serena says she cannot underestimate her opponents. Piper plans to show a different side of women's wrestling and take this tournament seriously.

Despite missing a splash from the top rope, Piper Niven beats Serena Deeb with the Michinoku Driver.



We hear from Princesa Sugehit, who says that being in the tournament is very significant for her, and that she has been learning about her rivals and triumphing over them. We also hear from Mercedes Martinez, who says it is time everyone heard what she is all about and that she will do whatever it takes to win, and that she will take everyone by storm. Sugehit says Martinez should prepare herself, because she lacks her experience, as she is strong and aggressive and will destroy her. She is prepared to win the whole tournament. Martinez knows who Sugehit is, but all she needs is one shot. Nobody wants this more than her.

We hear from Bianca Belair, who says she is a woman of beauty and strength and an athlete. She says there is nothing better than her, and that she is the best. We then hear from Kairi Sane, who wants to inspire people through this tournament, and give passion and power to people all over the world. Bianca sees Kairi as a competitor, not as a thrat. Kairi has thought about winning it all, and she wants to leave her stamp on all the competitors in the tournament. She wants people to remember her and her matches.

Kairi Sane beats Bianca Belair to continue to the quarter-finals.
