Joey Styles and "The Quintessential Studmuffin" Joel Gertner welcome everyone to tonight's show. After Gertner tells the crowd that "ECW carries TNN" and that TNN would be "shitty" without them, Cyrus can be heard saying "Excuse me." Gertner responds, "I swear on my life, if he comes out here, I'll beat the piss out of him!" Styles tells Gertner "You can have what I leave behind!" Cyrus shows up with Tajiri, and the crowd chants "We want Sandman!" Cyrus says he is the man who brings the fans Rollerjam and calls himself "The Ayatollah of Rock 'n Bowl-ah" before warning Gertner not to soil himself as he can let Tajiri loose at the drop of a pin. Cyrus then says the network has a situation with Super Crazy, and says he has been frustrated by letting the talent handle network business. This leads to a "Super Crazy" chant from the crowd. He says that a talent has not gotten the job done, so tonight, he and the network take control. After he says that he can hold his own in the ring, he announces he will face Super Crazy in a wrestling match and restore the ECW World Television Championship to the network because "idiots like Tajiri" are not getting the job done. Tajiri takes offense to that comment, and Cyrus says something to him in Japanese before threatening to revoke his work visa and send him back to jobbing to Abdullah the Butcher in Big Japan and accusing Gertner and Styles of wanting him deported. Tajiri turns back towards Styles and Gertner, then Cyrus says that the network takes control and that he will don the tights and face Super Crazy for the World Television title.
We hear from Danny Doring and Roadkill, who calls out The New Dangerous Alliance (C.W. Anderson and Billy Wiles), saying they will get their hands on them. As for Elektra, Doring calls her "a used Kleenex in the peep show booth of life." All of a sudden, Angel shows up and asks where "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer, as he wants to collect on the hit on Dreamer. Angel the accuses Doring of stepping up to him, and Doring says he has no problem with Angel before telling Angel he should be more concerned about having a problem with him. Doring then punches Angel, and Tony DeVito jumps in, immediately starting a tag team brawl. Grimes also shows up with a trash can which soon meets the back of Roadkill, and Da Baldies (Angel, DeVito, Grimes) quickly come out on top in the brawl.
Tajiri beats Little Guido.
We hear from Mike Awesome and "Judge" Jeff Jones. Jones says that Awesome's fist is like a judge's gavel, and when one is in contempt of Jones' court, Awesome will keep pounding. Awesome says he is ECW World Heavyweight Champion, and anyone who tries to take the title away from him is taking money out of his pocket. Awesome also says he has bled across four continents for the title, and nobody will take it away from him as it is the only belt in the world that matters today.
We see the word "Hell" written next to the first floor button on an elevator. When the elevator door opens, we see The Sinister Minsiter, who uses tarot cards to mention various ECW wrestlers and make a swipe at Diamond Dallas Page (saying that if he doesn't bring Kimberly, they won't book him). When The Sinister Minister laughs, Mikey Whipwreck is then seen underneath the table laughing with him.
Before the next match, Danny Doring and Roadkill proposes a Kansas City Street Fight against Da Baldies (Angel, Tony DeVito, Grimes). Angel tells Doring and Roadkill that they don't have the props or the pull to face them, and tells them that they don't have a second partner. Doring then says he has a friend in the back who is hardcore, has been in one of these street fights before and is willing to be in another one. That friend is "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer.
Danny Doring, Roadkill and "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer beat Da Baldies (Angel, Tony DeVito, Grimes).
Cyrus shows up. He says it is now the time that the network takes control as Super Crazy is seen in the ring. He then says he is ready to beat Super Crazy for the ECW World Television Championship, but nobody in television goes by stipulations. Cyrus then announces that instead of him facing Super Crazy, it will be Rhino.
Super Crazy retains the ECW World Television Championship against Rhino following a Sunset Flip powerbomb into a table. After the match, Steve Corino attacks Super Crazy, and Cyrus joins in while Jack Victory pulls out a few tables. The Sandman shows up from out of the crowd and canes Corino and Jack Victory, but the numbers game quickly takes over and Rhino plows Super Crazy into The Sandman, sending both men through a table in the corner. Cyrus then directs traffic as Corino and Jack Victory hold down The Sandman so that Rhino can hit him with The Sandman's Singapore cane. Rhino then drinks The Sandman's beer before spitting and pouring it on Sandman. Cyrus then says nobody stands up to the network.

Now that the match is no disqualifications, he then says it would not hurt to bring a 2x4 with barbed wire wrapped around it. He then admits that he said he would not hurt him with a barbed wire bat, he did promise to take what was most dear to him; however, he sees no reason not to do that and hurt him at the same time, and says the main difference between them is that after WrestleMania, Triple H will have to go back to work while he doesn't, and he is not afraid to let it all hang out this Sunday and it does not matter to him if he is in a hospital bed after he takes the WWF Championship from Triple H. He then says it will be a long time before wrestling fans ever see him again, and says it is an honor to be in everyone's living rooms every Monday and Thursday night and that WrestleMania will be "one hell of a match." She then says that this is why she admires her so much, and says that everyone is just jealous of a woman with so much power. Donna then says in her letter that she identifies with Stephanie and wants to be just like her before wishing her and Triple H luck at WrestleMania. Suddenly, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon shows up, and he says he has a headache for all the right reasons and that listening to Stephanie would be a headache enough. Vince says he cannot tell if Stephanie wrote a letter to herself or if the youth of America is "going to Hell in a hand basket," then WWF co-owner Linda McMahon shows up and tells Vince that the constant bickering has to stop, as she cannot imagine how much further this can go and that the family is in the situation it is in because of Vince's actions. She then demands that Vince exercise his role as patriarch of the family and fix the situation, then heads back to the back. Vince says he has been asked to fix the situation, and guarantees that this is exactly what he will do at WrestleMania. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Kimberly, who has not been seen in some time, to start tonight's show. Before Okerlund can introduce anyone else, Kimberly says she is the only person capable of introducing the next person to show up: Diamond Dallas Page. DDP admits he has a lot on his plate, and that he may have been ruptured his L4 and L5 discs in his back, but he will be back and he will be jacked. DDP then announces that the movie will have its world premiere at Mann's Chinese Theater in Hollywood Boulevard on April 5th, and says that after that, he plans to star in his next role: becoming a three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and the hardest working World champion ever. Suddenly, Jeff Jarrett shows up, and tells DDP that he is the only star around here and not DDP, and says it is only a matter of time before he proves why he is called "The Chosen One." He says there will not be a three-time World champion because he has all the stroke in the place and it will only be a matter of time before he has all the gold. After mentioning that Ready To Rumble will play worldwide April 7th, he threatens to crash DDP's party at Mann's Chinese Theater at the world premiere. DDP tells Jarrett that if he wants to crash the world premiere, he will be seeing stars when he imprints his face on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 27, 2000
RAW
WWF co-owner Linda McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. On behalf of the McMahon family, she apologize for the spectacle that took place in the ring last week on SmackDown, and says that she cannot describe how embarrassing and degrading it was for her. For weeks and months, she sat in the corporate headquarters running the company on a daily basis until she felt that she could not stay there any longer, as she was seeing how ugly things were becoming with her family. She eventually took a stand, and made the Fatal 4-Way for WrestleMania for the WWF Championship, which she believes was the right decision. Linda also goes on to say that Mick Foley deserves a chance to be part of the main event at WrestleMania and fulfill a lifelong dream. By giving Mick Foley a chance to live his dream, she has had to live a nightmare, and she cannot being to explain what it was like to stand in the ring and stare into "the hateful, cold blue eyes" of her only daughter saying what she said, and she was horrified. She then calls being slapped to the mat "humiliating and hurtful." She tells WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley that she has not always been a perfect mother, but she has always tried to give her the best direction and guidance she knew how to give, and gave her nothing but love and devotion for all of her 23 years. Linda then tells her that she did not deserve to be treated the way she was treated last Thursday, and she demands that Stephanie come to the ring and apologize right now to the fans and to the family. Suddenly, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon shows up, and he takes the time to stand next to Linda to hear Stephanie's apology. He also says it is no secret that he has been surprised of Linda's actions of going from the boardroom to the ring due to his concerns for her personal welfare, as he was fearful that something like what happened with Stephanie would happened. He also shows concern with Linda standing in Mick Foley's corner, but Linda says Vince has known her a long time and that she can take care of herself. Vince says he does not doubt that, as it was one of the reasons he fell in love with her a long, long time ago; however, is it because of this that he hopes no harm comes to her when he raises The Rock's hand in victory when he wins the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 2000. Vince then tells Stephanie that if she has the same guts as the rest of her family, then she will come to the ring to apologize to both fans and family without her "degenerate husband" Triple H at her side. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley shows up without Triple H, and after having reflected on her actions, she says it wrong to slap Linda and that it was a disrespectful and cowardly act on her part. Stephanie says she slapped Linda out of rage, and apologizes to Linda, saying she really wanted to slap Vince, and if she could do it all over again, she would slap him in the face as hard as she could. Vince threatens to go up the aisle and "blister [her] little fanny 'til it turns blue." As Vince gets out of the ring, Triple H shows up and asks what kind of family he married into, and that Vince and Linda have to be the heads of the most dysfunctional family on the planet. Vince dares Triple H to get in the ring and see just how dysfunctional he can be, but Triple H says Vince is a violent man who needs counseling and lashes out in anger, while he is here to be the voice of reason and the calm, cool and collected one who can smooth everything over. Vince tells Triple H he has 20,000 people calling him an asshole, but Triple H says he does not give a crap about any of the fans. Triple H says it dawns on him that Vince should have packed his bags and left town a long time ago, as he has worn out his welcome in the business and it is time to go out with the old and in with the new. He then says that it is time for an ancient era to resign and a new era to run the show. Suddenly, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up, and says he agrees with Triple H in that a voice of reason as he claims that he and Lina are the only two level-headed McMahons in the arena. He then says that Stephanie slapping Linda was a cowardly act and that it proved her gutless. He calls Stephanie a pretentious, spoiled brat and he hopes that the image of her slapping Linda stays in her mind forever and rots and festers her guts until the day that she dies. He asks Stephanie how she could possibly do that and he hugs Linda, and apologizes to everyone on behalf of the McMahon family before announcing he will stand against Triple H and Stephanie as well as their marriage, which he says makes him sick. As for Triple H's proposal of a new era, he agrees with Triple H, then attacks Vince from behind with his microphone. Triple H and Stephanie get in the ring and and Triple H and Shane attack Vince. Linda grabs Shane by the hair, but Stephanie holds Linda back. Shane is about to punch Linda when Mick Foley runs into the ring and confronts Triple H and Shane, then Big Show gets in the ring and Mick Foley brawls with him. Triple H and Big Show make quick work of Foley, then Triple H punches Vince. Triple H is about to hit Vince with the Pedigree when The Rock runs into the ring and fights off both Triple H and Big Show, but once again the numbers game takes over and The Rock gets choke slammed after a clothesline from Triple H. When Vince and Shane finally go at it in the ring, WWF co-owner Linda McMahon is seen watching the match from backstage.
After the show goes off the air, The Rock, Mick Foley, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon and WWF Chairman Vince McMahon are still in the ring. Mick Foley checks on Shane, then hits him with a double-arm DDT before The Rock hits Shane with The People's Elbow. Before The Rock can do it, Foley stops him and asks Vince to hit The People's Elbow (or The Corporate Elbow, depending on how one looks at it), which Vince does. Afterwards, Foley goes for his own version of The People's Elbow on Shane. Vince then heads to the back, but The Rock and Mick Foley stop him so that The Rock can hit a People's Elbow of his own on Shane. The Rock then grabs a microphone and says he wouldn't even think of leaving without saying "Finally, The Rock has come back to Houston[, Texas]." He then says that he, Foley and Vince served up Triple H, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon, Shane and Big Show a nice big piece of poontang pie and that he took that pie, put it in a microwave for 13.5 seconds, turned it sideways and stuck it straight up their candy asses. He then says his new book, The Rock Says... went #1 in record time, and he thanks the fans for making that possible before delivering his signature "If you smell what The Rock is cooking" line. Suddenly, Shane tries to get up, and The Rock tells him Shane everything is fine and the show is over, and that he does not have to entertain the fans too much. Shane says something, and The Rock asks him to say it to the millions of his fans. Shane then speaks into the microphone "I'm sorry," and that his shoulder is broken. The Rock says he is a passionate man, and since Shane has apologized to him man-to-man and looked him in the eyes, he accepts his apology. The Rock and Shane appear to shake hands, but The Rock them hits Shane with a Rock Bottom before delivering his signature "If you smell what The Rock is cooking" line again to send everyone home happy. Afterwards, WWF head of security Jim Dotson then helps Shane to the back.

Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for March 24, 2000
Joey Styles and "The Quintessential Studmuffin" Joel Gertner welcome everyone to tonight's show, and Gertner calls Cyrus his "personal bitch" during the naughty nickname of the week. Styles then introduces Super Crazy, who heads to the ring. He says something in Spanish, then it is announced that Super Crazy's first defense of the ECW World Television Championship will be against Tajiri, who also shows up. Cyrus then shows up immediately afterwards, and reminds everyone that he is the network. Cyrus then announces that Tajiri vs. Super Crazy for the Television title is a match that Tajiri is very good at and has never lost in: a Japanese Death Match. Styles says Cyrus is stacking the deck against Super Crazy, but Cyrus tells Styles to keep his mouth shut and tells Gertner to "get his fatfuck ass out of the ring." Gertner takes his tie off and threatens to beat Cyrus up, but Cyrus threatens to call the cops and have him arrested before having him off the network forever. He also tells Gertner that "they will enjoy [him] in prison" because "there's a lot of [him] to go around." Gertner throws his tie and him, then he leaves. Styles, on the other hand, takes his jacket off and hands them and his glasses to the referee, and Cyrus dares Styles to hit him so he can be in jail with Gertner "getting stuffed like an Italian sausage" sd ECW is taken off the network. Cyrus dares Styles to hit him so he can send ECW back to the stone age, saying he will "take it for the network." Styles eventually walks away.
Super Crazy retains the ECW World Television Championship against Tajiri in a Japanese Death Match. After the match, Jack Victory and Steve Corino run in and attack Super Crazy, who quickly fights back until Rhino runs into the ring and Gores him. Rhino, Jack Victory and Corino then take the boots to Super Crazy, then The Sandman shows up. The Sandman gets in the ring and strikes Rhino, Corino and Jack Victory with the Singapore cane, but he is soon hit with green mist in the face by Tajiri before Rhino hits The Sandman with a Gore and a piledriver. Rhino also hits Super Crazy with a piledriver before the show fades to black.
Cyrus tells everyone in the crowd that nobody - not Super Crazy, not The Sandman - stands up to the network, and there is anybody in the back or anywhere in the building or the state who has the guts to stand up to the network, then he suggests that they meet the network face-to-face right now. That challenged is answered by Balls Mahoney, and Steve Corino, Rhino and Jack Victory back away. Cyrus mouth soff at Balls Mahoney only to find out that he is the only other person in the ring. Cyrus tries to beg Balls Mahoney off, but Corino and Rhino ambush Balls from behind before they and Jack Victory stomp him a few times. Cyrus then says nobody stands up to the network.
In footage from earlier today, Angel and Big Vito find "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer at a Coke machine. Angel tells Dreamer that somebody has put a hit on him, and that they are here to collect. Angel and Vito then attack Dreamer along with Grimes, then Vito says that this is just business before Angel says it's time to see Raven to collect on the hit.
"The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer beats Grimes after Grimes misses a somersault senton onto Dreamer and lands back first on a ladder.
The Sinister Minister, Judge Jeff Jones and Mike Awesome are in the ring. The Sinister Minister says it was his idea of bringing together the sacred and the profane, and that it was his idea to make Mike Awesome and Raven a tag team. He also says it was his plan that made them ECW World Tag Team Champions. He then says you have to give the devil his due. Suddenly, Francine shows up, and The Sinister Minister calls her "the whore of Babylon" before telling her that just like the serpent tempted Eve into the Garden of Eden, he will give her the microphone as everyone would love to hear what "pearly gobs of wisdom" will ooze out of her mouth. He then tells her to do everyone a favor and show everyone her intelligence. Francine finds the "give the devil his due" laughable, and says that nobody even knows The Sinister Minister's name, unlike herself, who everyone knows and loves. She then says she is the Queen of Extreme, and that she has managed the World Heavyweight Champion, the World Television Champion and the World Tag Team Champions as well as gotten "The Innovator of Violence' Tommy Dreamer to a championship. She then says that she was the one to accomplish everything that The Sinister Minister is trying to take credit for, and that everyone in the crowd knows how hot she is and that every man in the crowd would love to have her, but nobody in the crowd is man enough to have her. She demands credit for Raven and Mike Awesome's title reign, for when she left Dreamer to go with Raven, and Raven won the tag team titles. After Francine asks "What about me? What about Francine?", The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) show up.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for March 23, 2000
Triple H shows up with WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley to start tonight's show. Triple H says that on Monday night, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon had an announcement that would rock the World Wrestling Federation from its foundation, and tonight, Stephanie will make an announcement that will not only rock the WWF from its foundation but also knock it off. In the meantime, Triple H has a question that he needs answered. He mentions the announcement of the main event for WrestleMania taking place that very night and how it was made under the premise that it would never happen again, then talks about how he won the match and retained the WWF Championship only to run into WWF co-owner Linda McMahon - whom he says was "ready to screw [him]" - and placed in a Fatal 4-Way match for the title at WrestleMania with the men he just beat as well as a re-hired Mick Foley. Triple H then asks his question: "Linda McMahon, who the hell do you think you are, to come out here and demand anything of me, to come out here and tell me what I am going to do?" Triple H then demands Linda to come out and tell him who she thinks she is. Linda shows up and reminds Triple H that she has as much stroke as anyone else, and because of that and the fact that Mick Foley is a deserving individual whose dream was to be in a WrestleMania main event, she made the Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match for the WWF Championship. Also, since a McMahon is in the corner of the three other participants, she will be in Foley's corner, and there will be a McMahon in every corner in the Fatal 4-Way Match. She also announces that Mick Foley is coming back for one night and one night only. Triple H tells Linda that he is not buying the "one night only" line, and asks what is next if Foley takes the WWF Championship, as Foley is retired. Linda says that in all likelihood, Foley will win the match at WrestleMania and go out on top as he has always wanted. However, if that were to happen, the title would be declared vacant and held up in a tournament that would take place for the next few weeks until Backlash, where a new WWF Champion would be crowned. Triple H admits that Linda has put a lot of thought into this, but tells her that she has wasted her time as he will be leaving as WWF Champion after beating The Rock first because he hates him the most before beating Big Show and saving Mick Foley for last to spite Linda. He also tells Linda that after brutally beating Mick Foley at WrestleMania, it will be on her, and that he hopes she will remain in Foley's corner afterwards as nobody will be behind Foley by then and Linda will be the one assisting Foley as Foley wonders why Linda could not leave well enough alone until he realizes that she did it because she is "a cold, heartless bitch." Linda is shocked at first, but then she leaves.
Backstage, Ivory gives a very tense and impatient Crash Holly a back massage. Suddenly, Ivory calls for referee Teddy Long before breaking a jar over the back of Crash's head to try to take the WWF Hardcore Championship from him. Crash escapes with the title.
Before the next match, Kurt Angle says he realizes that he made a bid to defend a title against Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho at WrestleMania, but now he has to put up not just one title, but both of them. He then announces that this match is a Two-Fall Triple Threat Match where one fall is for one title and the second fall is for the other. He then says one does not have to be a genius, much less "one of the several dairy farm inbreds from Wisconsin" to figure out that this is a conspiracy against him. He then says that tonight, he will give Benoit a taste of what to expect at WrestleMania with a little touch of integrity, intensity and intelligence (the last of which Angle claims Benoit does not have). Chris Jericho guests on commentary after Chris Benoit makes his way to the ring.
Kurt Angle beats Chris Benoit by disqualification after Chris Jericho hits ANgle in the back of the head with the WWF Intercontinental Championship before hitting Benoit with it and putting Angle in the Walls of Jericho. Bob Backlund is seen watching the match from backstage during the match. After the match, Jericho puts Angle in the Walls of Jericho before referes and officials try to restore order, then lets go of the hold and briefly does the same to Benoit.
Backstage, Kevin Kelly interviews WWF Chairman Vince McMahon. Vince says he has an idea as to what WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley's announcement is. Vince predicts that Stephanie will announce that she is pregnant and that she will deliver an eight-pound baby anteater in nine months. He then says he is proud to be in The Rock's corner at WrestleMania. He also announces that that at WrestleMania, The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) will be defending the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and the team of Edge and Christian in a Triangle Ladder Match. He also announces that tonight, Buh Buh Ray Dudley will go one-on-one with The Rock.
In footage from earlier today, Al Snow tries to get "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman to milk a cow at a Wisconsin dairy farm. When milk splatters onto Blackman's face, Blackman goes outside, take his nunchuaku and smacks the cow with them.
The Godfather beats Bull Buchanan by disqualification after The Big Boss Man gets in the ring and attacks The Godfather with his nightstick. After the match, Boss Man and Buchanan attack The Godfather, and Buchanana attacks him with a baton.
Backstage, Crash Holly tells Hardcore Holly that somebody that he feels somebody is going to try to take the WWF Hardcore Championship. Hardcore tells him that he has talked to everyone in the back and that nobody is going to attack him during his next match, and implies that if Crash cannot trust him, he cannot trust anybody.
Al Snow and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beat The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) by count-out. During the match, the crowd is heard chanting "Let's go Head Cheese." Also during the match, Hardcore Holly shoves referee Jimmy Korderas into the path of a clothesline by Al Snow that is meant for him. Afterwards, Hardcore attacks Crash and chases him into the crowd after unsuccessfully trying to pin him to win the WWF Hardcore Championship. A second referee shows up for the match between Hardcore and Crash in the tech area as Snow and Blackman win by count-out. After the match, Snow and Blackman are attacked by T&A (Test and Prince Albert), then Trish Stratus shows up as Test and Albert make their way up the ramp. Trish says that T&A gives the fans what they want to see: T for Test and A for Albert..
Backstage, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon gives The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) some opportunities to live like Triple H, Mick Foley and The Rock for one night.
Before the next match, The Rock comes out to Know Your Role by Method Man from WWF Aggression, which is now available in stores.
The Rock beats Buh Buh Ray Dudley.
Jim Ross interviews Mick Foley in the ring. Foley mentions that a few weeks ago, he said he would not be like all those who had retired before only to come back six weeks later, and says he was a man of his word by coming back in only four. He then assures that his return will be for one night only, and says in the last four weeks, he not only got his first real haircut in sixteen years, but he did relatively little until he got a call from WWF co-owner Linda McMahon asking him if he wanted to be apart of WrestleMania. Foley said he look forward to meeting the fans over the weekend at Fan Axxess, but Linda then told him that he was going to be part of the main event of WrestleMania, which he had never been a part of. For the next 20 minutes, he tried to talk Linda out of it, but then realized that as a wrestler, you do not just walk out on WrestleMania. He accepted, but he had never been more nervous than when he showed up in Chicago, Illinois as he did not know how the fans would react. Thankfully, the reaction blew him away, as most everyone is happy to have him back for one night. He knows some people will not forgive him for coming back soon, but Foley fells that he would not forgive himself if he let the opportunity to main event WrestleMania slip away. As for the main event, it has four of the best athletes to step into a WWF ring, but it is his night and not theirs. He then addresses Triple H verbally attacking Linda McMahon, and says that he will not threaten him with barbed wire baseball bats and thumbtacks because he has done that already, and he admits that he enjoys seeing stitches on his face as they were put there because of him. He then says that he understands fully how to hurt Triple H, and that is to take his belt and make him realize there is a thing he can do about him WWF Champion as he will be retired. He then says he will walk down the aisle and look at Triple H, and Triple H will realize his last act as an active wrestler was kicking his ass. Foley then says that as great a match as No Way Out was, it will not end with him looking back with blood on his face, tears in his eyes and a sad smile on his face, as WrestleMania will end with blood on his face, tears in his eyes and the WWF Championship in his hands.
We see GTV footage where The Kat returns a skirt to Terri Runnels. The Kat leaves, then Terri Runnels finds dark spots all over it, much to Terri's disdain.
Jacqueline beats Lita after Lita becomes overconfident during a roll-up. After the match, Lita hits Jacqueline with a DDT before hitting her with a moonsault off the top rope.
We see a small part of the music video for The Kings by RUN-DMC from WWF Aggression, available in stores now.
Before the next match, The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) are accompanied to the ring by WWF co-owner Shane McMahon dressed like Triple H, The Rock and Mick Foley. Shane then introduces them as such, then brings out Big Show. He then proposes all four men in the ring have a preview of what will happen at WrestleMania, which starts a quick squash match where Big Show beats The Mean Street Posse, Shane guests on commentary, and Big Show allows Rodney to go for the People's Elbow only for Rodney and Joey Abs to fall victim to a double choke slam. The match ends with Big Show pinning all three members of The Posse.
Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu) beat The Radicals (Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero). After the match, X-Pac and "Road Dogg" Jesse James attack Too Cool from behind along with The Radicalz, then Kane shows up with Paul Bearer and becomes a one-man wrecking crew, attacking The Radicals until Road Dogg pucnhes the back of Kane's knee before X-Pac hits Kane with a steel chair. Rikishi tries to battle back, but he also gets laid out with a steel chair.
WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley shows up. Stephanie asks WWF co-owner Linda McMahon to come to the ring so she can feel the impact of what she is about to announce first-hand. Linda shows up, and Stephanie says she wishes that she was surprised to see her mother Linda, especially on Raw, but she knew it was just a matter of time before Linda meddled in her business. She says it is not unheard of for a mother to feel jealous or threatened by her daughter, for after she was born, she took away the last bit of affection that her father, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon, showed Linda, and instead of showing love and affection, Linda tried to control her. She uses example making her make her own bed instead of letting the maid do it, restricting her funds to $100 a week during junior week and not letting her buy the turbo model sports car in high school. Linda says it was all for her own good, but Stephanie counters by saying that in college, Linda only gave her enough money for a one-bedroom apartment and she had to convince the CFO to slip her a little extra cash, for even at 19, she knew how to use her assets to get what she wanted, as this was a trick that Linda taught her: the power of persuasion, especially that of the opposite sex, as control equals power. Stephanie says there is only room for one dominant female in the company, and that is her. She gives Linda credit for having the guts to change the main event at WrestleMania to stack the deck against Triple H as well as re-hire Mick Foley, if only for one night. Linda says it was the right thing to do, and Stephanie tells Linda she is not as smart as she thinks she is and that Triple H is right for calling Linda "a conniving bitch." Stephanie then slaps Linda and sends her falling to the mat. Linda is crying as Triple H shows up, approving of what has happened as the show ends.
Backstage, Ivory gives a very tense and impatient Crash Holly a back massage. Suddenly, Ivory calls for referee Teddy Long before breaking a jar over the back of Crash's head to try to take the WWF Hardcore Championship from him. Crash escapes with the title.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for March 20, 2000
In footage from earlier today, Sid Vicious is seen arriving to the arena while greeted by throngs of fans.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sid Vicious in the ring to start tonight's show. Sid says the weight of the world is off his shoulders, and tells Jeff Jarrett he is not all that smart after spouting out of his mouth for the past few weeks that he would become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion, which did not happen. Sid then talks about a time when someone told him that you can take a pig and tie a purple ribbon around its neck, but the pig still a pig. He says that Jarrett is a pig and that he has shown him who the master, ruler and champion of the world is. Before the interview can continue, Jarrett shows up with The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris), and says he is not done with him by a long shot as everyone knows that he beat him three times in the past and that if it weren't for Hulk Hogan, he would be the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion. He then says that if he beats Sid, he gets another title shot; if Sid beats him, however, he will never ask for another shot at the World title again. He then brings out his tag team partner for the tonight to show just what Sid is getting himself into: Scott Steiner, who is wearing a piece of tape saying "CENSORED" around his mouth. He removes the tape, then says WCW could not censor him, and tells Sid he will kick his ass tonight and there is nothing he can do it. Sid says he does not need a tag team partner to kick Jeff Jarrett or Scott Steiner's asses; however, it would not be hard to find somebody who would want to tag team with him as there are plenty of people who would want to plant a foot in their asses. Suddenly, Hulk Hogan's music hits, and Hogan shows up. Hogan says Sid "definitely rules the world" and that he knows about "the nWo chumps" out here as he was the baddest man in the nWo until he left the group. RAW
Michael Cole interviews WWF Chairman Vince McMahon, who announces at the behest of Gerald Brisco that there will be a tag team elimination tournament where the winners will meet in a battle royal to decide the #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championships. Pat Patterson tells Vince to talk about "the big one," and Vince says that if that match is made, it will rock the World Wrestling Federation down to its foundations tonight. Michael Cole then mentions that he loved Saturday Night Live over the weekend - which featured The Rock as special guest host and Vince McMahon, Triple H, Mick Foley and Big Show in the cold opening - and that gives Vince the idea to start the show in a style not unlike Saturday Night Live.
Before the next match, D-Generation X (X-Pac and "Road Dogg" Jesse James) come out to The Kings, a re-imagining of the DX theme by Run-DMC. The song is on the upcoming WWF Aggression, a compilation of original songs based on WWE entrance themes by hip-hop artists. The album will be available in stores tomorrow, and the song will continue to be DX's theme throughout the year.
The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat D-Generation X (X-Pac and "Road Dogg" Jesse James) to continue to the tag team battle royal after Kane and Paul Bearer show up to attack X-Pac. Tori attacks Kane to no avail, and when she gets in the ring after the match, The Hardys toss Tori into Kane, who proceeds to choke slam her.

Upon Stephanie asking for the fans' undivided attention, the crowd boos, and Triple H goes off on them, demanding respect for himself and Stephanie. Triple H then says at WrestleMania, the fans will have no choice but to bow down on their knees and respect him, as he will beat both The Rock and Big Show in a Triple Threat Match to retain the WWF Championship. He then says that WWF Chairman Vince McMahon clams to have a match that will rock the foundation of the World Wresting Federation, and says if the match is that big, it has to have him in it. He calls Vince McMahon to the ring, but Big Show and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon show up instead. Shane says he knows exactly what Vince meant by that announcement, and challenges Triple to defend the WWF Championship against Big Show tonight. Triple H says he would love to, but he declines, saying he does not have to defend the WWF Championship before WrestleMania, even though he could, and says "that big goof" Big Show does not deserve a title shot. Suddenly, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon shows up and says what Shane has proposed is not a big idea, and says that Triple H is willing to defend the WWF Championship as that is exactly what is going to happen. He announces that the match will be Triple H vs. Big Show vs. The Rock. Vince knows that the Triple Threat Match is in two weeks, but eh asks why they should not have the match in Chicago, Illinois tonight. Shane says that Vince is making a smart business decision, and dares Triple H to take the challenge, as does Vince. Triple H accepts the challenge for tonight, on the ground that the match does not take place again and there will be no rematch, especially at WrestleMania. Vince then tells Triple H to take his lips, pucker them up, and instead of kissing his daughter or kissing his ass, he wants Triple H to kiss the WWF Championship goodbye.
The Rock is seen arriving to the arena.

Eddie gets back up, but when he gets on the apron, Grandmaster Sexay throws him into Perry Saturn, and both men end up on the outside. Triple H then hits the facebreaker knee smash followed by the Pedigree to retain. After the match, The Rock chases Shane into the crowd, but as Triple H and Stephanie leave, WWF co-owner Linda McMahon shows up. A fan gets up on the ramp, and Triple H tackles him so that security can deal with the guy, who is taken out of the shot. Linda congratulates Triple H on retaining, and while there will be no Triple Threat rematch for the WWF Championship, a special ingredient will be added at WrestleMania: a deserving individual whose dreams should come true, if for one night only. Therefore, she will make the final decision, and the main event at WrestleMania 2000 will be a Fatal Four-Way where Triple H will defend the WWF Championship against Big Show, The Rock...and Mick Foley, who has returned to the WWF. Mick Foley brawls with Triple H in the ring, and he hits both Triple H and Big Show with the WWF Championship to end the show.
