Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for April 11, 1999

X-Pac and Kane show up to start tonight's show. X-Pac says he and Kane are out here because Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart have been running around for the past week "whining and crying like a bunch of whining little bitches" because they were beaten for the WWF Tag Team Championships. He then says that as Jarrett and Owen are complaining about their loss being a fluke, he does not see it that way, and if Jarrett and Owen want to do it one more time, they can do it again right here tonight. Jarrett, Owen and Debra show up, and Jarrett insists X-Pac and Kane's victory was a fluke and that he and Owen are "a well-oiled machine" and had all the teams beaten and were unprepared for them. Jarrett says that X-Pac and Kane have pissed them off and that they will take the tag team titles back, then The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up. Road Dogg tells Debra that she and Owen have been "smokin' some of the Dogg's goods" if they think they are the #1 contenders, as they see things a little differently. Road Dogg then says he is glad that Jarrett and Owens "had it oiled up," because it will feel a lot better when the Outlaws kick it to them Doggy-style. Billy Gunn tells X-Pac that they are friends, but business is business, and now that Kane and X-Pac are tag team champions, they have something the Outlaws want, and demand that he and Road Dogg be put on that list tonight. X-Pac admits he was not anticipating a challenge from the Outlaws, then says that Jarrett, Owen and the Outlaws all have got their tag team title shot and proposes that they have a three-way tag team match for the titles.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock is seen angry and throwing things backstage on the way to the ring.

We hear from Lucas, who states that he will get a word from The Rock about what he will do with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Mideon with the ankle lock. During the match, Shamrock demands the whereabouts of his sister Ryan Shamrock from Mideon. After the match, Shamrock refuses to let go of the hold as he demands Ryan's whereabouts, and as referees show up to break the hold, Shamrock breaks the hold and terrorizes all of the referees in sight once again before throwing things around at ringside. Shamrock then takes the microphone and tells The Undertaker that he knows he can hear him and that tomorrow night on Raw, they will both be there and that while business is business, nobody messes with his family or anybody else's, and that he is willing to die for his sister before asking The Undertaker if he is willing to do the same.

Backstage, X-Pac talks with Kane, saying that the past is the past and that if they do not act like a team, they will lose the tag team titles.

Backstage, Lucas interviews The Rock, who tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that it behooves him why Austin wants his custom-made WWF Championship belt back when The Rock should have a custom-made title of his own. He says that Austin is a nobody and that he made him famous, and that Austin was one People's Elbow away from him beating him in the ring. He then says that at Backlash, nothing will change and he will walk out as WWF Champion.

Backstage, Mankind has a birthday cake for Mr. Socko.

Jim Ross announces that WWF Chairman Vince McMahon has made it so that he is coming back to commentary on Raw thanks to the fans' efforts, then interviews Mankind in the ring. Mankind shows up with the birthday cake for Mr. Socko as well as Yurple the Clown while confetti and balloons drop down from the top of the arena. Mankind says the cake should say "Happy Birthplace" and not "Happy Birthday," as it is in Michigan that Mr. Socko was born. Mankind congratulates Al Snow for landing a lucrative deal with Lay-Z-Boy, then leads the crowd into singing "Happy Birthplace" along with Yurple the Clown while asking the crowd not to riot due to his less-than-impressive singing voice. Mankind says he will lock himself in the boiler room in seclusion for two weeks to prepare for his Boiler Room Brawl with Big Show at Backlash. He then says that when the two weeks are up, only one man will walk out. He then "cuts" the cake with Mr. Socko and tosses the cake into the crowd.

Shane McMahon guests on commentary for the next match.

The Rock beats D'Lo Brown.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James is reading Memories of a Geisha when "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn tells him that business is business and that this is just about the WWF Tag Team Championships.

Droz vs. The Big Boss Man ends with a big, bald man with several piercings coming out of the crowd, getting into the ring and slamming The Big Boss Man with the greatest of ease before stomping The Big Boss Man along with Droz until Test runs into the ring and chases them out.

X-Pac and Kane retains the WWF Tag Team Championships against The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and the team of Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart. During the match, Triple H and Chyna are seen watching the match from the stage. Billy Gunn raises X-Pac's hand in victory as the show ends.

Scotty Riggs beats Mikey Whipwreck. (The crowd chants "boring" during this match.)

Konnan makes fun of Disco Inferno's disco hat and jacket as well as his camouflage pants, and calls him "a scrub" and "a strawberry." Disco attacks him, starting the match.

Konnan beats Disco Inferno with the Chart Buster.

Rey Mysterio Jr. retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Kidman.

The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) beat Raven and Perry Saturn. During the match, Saturn tries to put Benoit through a table with a splash, but "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson pulls Benoit off before Saturn can land on the table. Raven hits Malenko with the Evenflow DDT, but Anderson gets in the ring and positions a steel chair in the ring on top of Raven's head as referee Charles Robinson is dealing with him. Benoit hits the top rope headbutt on the steel chair on top of Raven's head, and Malenko pins Raven for the win.

Scott Steiner is seen terrorizing ring announcer David Penzer and antagonizing the fans in the front row before the next match.

Scott Steiner beats Booker T to win the vacant WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Scott Steiner uses referee Johnny Boone as a human shield, and Boone gets knocked down. Booker T revives Boone, but Scott Steiner knocks him back down from behind as he hits Booker T. Steiner stops the top rope missile drop kick and hits the top rope Frankensteiner, then drags Johnny Boone to Booker T and uses his hand to count his pin, but only gets two before Booker T kicks out. Scott Steiner then pulls out a foreign object as referee Randy Anderson tends to Johnny Boone, and Steiner hits Booker in the throat with the foreign object as Booker T gets him up for a vertical suplex. Steiner then drags Boone back to Booker T to win the United States title.

Rey Mysterio Jr. is interviewed for WCW.com.

Goldberg beats Kevin Nash. During the match, Nash jumps over the Spear and Goldberg accidentally Spears the referee. Lex Luger gets on the apron and hits Goldberg in the back with a steel chair. Nash readies the Jackknife Power Bomb, but Goldberg hits Nash with a low blow. Lex Luger tries to get a piece of Goldberg, but Goldberg ends up getting a piece of him and then hits Nash with the Spear. Nash hits the Jackhammer and avenges his loss at last year's Starrcade.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up for the next match for his special guest referee role. The woman in the pink dress who accompanies him is identified as "Gorgeous George."

Diamond Dallas Page beats Hollywood Hogan, Sting and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion! During the match, Hulk Hogan has to be helped to the back by medical after a Figure Four Leg Lock by Flair and another one on the ring post by DDP, and is joined by Eric Bischoff. Later on, Flair has Sting in the Figure Four Leg Lock, and Sting grabs the rope to break the hold. Flair does not let go, and Savage takes matters into his own hands by dragging Flair - who still has Sting in the hold - to the middle of the ring and hitting him with an elbow drop from the top rope. DDP then hits Flair with a Diamond Cutter to win the title.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for April 5, 1999

The show begins with a brief video of Sting in an abandoned building, followed by WCW's new logo, a brand new intro featuring The Nitro Girls and a new logo for the show.

Goldberg is seen at the WCW offices with a tumbler in his hand.

Nitro debuts a brand-new set. The commentary table is moved to ringside, and the commentary table is changed to a two-man team of Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan for the entire show. (Mike Tenay and "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko are moved to Thunder.)

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Goldberg, who shows up with a tumbler. He says that ever since he lost the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he has been on the receiving end of the ultimate screwjob. He was conveniently left off last month's pay-per-view, and if WCW President "The Nature" Boy Ric Flair has it his way, he will be left off of this month's. As for tonight, he takes matters into his own hands. He says that the tumbler and the numbers in it are part of "The Goldberg lottery" tonight, and everyone's name is in it including Flair's. The name he pulls right now is the next victim at the next pay-per-view. Suddenly, Kevin Nash shows up, makes a reference to Bret "The Hit Man" Hart's metal plate underneath his jersey from last week, and says he has done this for 10 years and says that in 10 years' time, everyone will be talking about him because he stopped Goldberg's streak. Goldberg tells Nash he can live in the past all he wants, but today is another day. Nash does Goldberg a favor and tells him to forget about the lottery because he has him at Spring Stampede. Goldberg wishes himself a merry Christmas and leaves.

WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, the latter of whom is on the phone, witness what has happened between Goldberg and Kevin Nash on a monitor. Anderson tells Flair he will take care of it.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Riki Rachtman plugs the WCW Hotline.

Hak beats Kendall Windham in a Kendo Stick Match.

We see a video package for Meng.

At the WCW offices, Goldberg walks into WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's office...and catches him and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson with Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth.

At the WCW offices, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson catches up with Kevin Nash, who tells Nash that WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair needs to see him.

We see a video package for Konnan vs. Disco Inferno at Spring Stampede.

Konnan beats Lizmark Jr. with the Tequila Sunrise.

WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Kevin Nash meets in Flair's office.

We see a video package for Scott Steiner.

At the WCW offices, Kevin Nash and WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair have gotten done talking. Nash runs into Hollywood Hogan, who is surprised that Nash is talking with Flair. Nash says he is just taking care of business and that it is just business, and after Nash leaves, Hogan says to himself "It'd better be."

At the WCW offices, Nash is seen talking to referee Charles Robinson, who is in a suit and tie. Hogan walks in on Nash and Robinson as Robinson leaves, and wants to know what is going on. Nash says he is just making sure Robinson is in their back pocket, but Hogan wants to know why Nash is not returning any of his calls and wants to know if they are on the same team. Nash tells him they are on the same team, and Hogan says that Nash's attitude has been different from when they first jumped into the reunification of the nWo. Nash says he is just tired.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. As far as Goldberg goes, Goldberg is a former champion wanting to be where he is, and says Kevin Nash made himself look good tonight by calling him out and making a match against him at Spring Stampede. Since Flair feels so good about himself tonight and looks as only he can look, he takes the World title off of Spring Stampede and will defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Hollywood Hogan here tonight. Hollywood Hogan rushes in and says he and the nWo-ites are tired of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and taht he has no problem kicking his butt tonight. Flair says that he can take the match away as fast as he made it if he touches him before match time. Hogan says he will not lay a hand on him until he gets dressed for the ring, because as soon as he does, the title will be his and he will prove he is the most powerful man in wrestling today. Flair says he is making the match tonight because one of them needs to know who the man is. Hogan says he hopes Flair is that fired up when the match starts, because when it happens, the title is coming back to him as it was made for him. Flair says this will be the last time he ever hears Hogan's name ahead of his, and Hollywood Hogan agrees, saying that he will never give him another title shot for as long as he is World champion. All of a sudden, Diamond Dallas Page shows up and says it is no secret there is no love lost between him and them, and that it is no secret that this is a main event worthy of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The only thing that he thinks would make it better is if Flair made it a three-way dance. Flair deems the idea preposterous, and DDP says he is sick and tired about them whining about the belt. Hogan is okay with it, saying he'll both them both and take the World title. Flair tells Hogan this is between the two of them. Goldberg shows up, and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is seen backstage watching what is taking place on a monitor. Goldberg tells Flair he didn't make himself clear, and that if the World title is involved, he is in the dance. Flair says he didn't make himself clear, and tells Goldberg he isn't doing anything tonight. Goldberg grabs Flair by the coat collar and tosses him to the mat. Flair tells Goldberg he is in a lot of trouble as he leaves the ring, and says he'll see all of them in the ring. DDP leaves, then Hogan and Goldberg stare off in the aisle.

Before the next match, Scott Steiner tells the crowd they have someone to cheer for, and calls Diamond Dallas Page the biggest piece of white trash in WCW. He says DDP made two statements and told two lies: that he wanted revenge against him (which Scott rebuts by asking Page why he didn't get in the United States title tournament and meet him in the finals) and that he didn't agree to give him Kimberly for 30 days after SuperBrawl IX (which Scott rebuts by saying that DDP did not comply after seven days and that the matter will be dealt with in a court of law). He says that is neither here nor there, as all the women are on his rollercoaster of love, and that he does not have 30 days or 30 nights for Kimberly, to explain why all the "hooches" say there is nothing finer than Scott Steiner, or to show Kimberly what a physical "phenonemon" he is, but all he needs is one night for Kimberly to call him "Big Bad Booty Daddy" for the rest of her life. If DDP wants revenge against him, he will have to give Kimberly up to him for one night, and he will soon be nothing but a memory. When Meng shows up for the match, Scott Steiner is seen yelling at Tony Schiavone for supposedly talking trash.

Scott Steiner beats Meng to advance in the United States title tournament after countering the Tongan Death Grip with an eye poke and a low blow before using the ropes for leverage during the pinfall. During the match, it is announced that the Four Corners Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship later tonight will be a Texas Tornado match, which means that Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair will all be in the ring at the same time.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

One of the riggers in the rafters is confused for Sting, then the brief video clip is replayed.

WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is on the phone in the office talking about a party when he confronts the cameraman for coming into the office and recording him without permission.

Tony Schiavone plugs WCW Live, weeknights on WCW.com.

We see a video package for "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, who had not been seen in quite some time since he was diagnosed with cancer last summer until his recent return on Thunder.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats Lenny Lane in his first match since his return.

Riki Rachtman plugs the WCW Hotline again.

Stevie Ray beats Vincent, Brian Adams and Horace Hogan in a four-man battle royal to become the undisputed leader of the black-and-white nWo.

We see Diamond Dallas Page stretching in the locker room.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr. retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Raven and Saturn. During the match, Raven vaults Rey into Saturn, who is knocked into the referee. Rey hits Raven with the top rope hurricanrana, but Saturn counters a springboard move into a Death Valley Driver. Dean Malenko and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit go after Raven and Saturn, and Benoit hits a top rope headbutt on Saturn before Malenko places Rey on top of Saturn and Kidman revives the referee.

We see Hollywood Hogan warming up for his match later tonight in the locker room.

Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against Chris Jericho by disqualification after Scott Steiner tries to interfere with a steel chair only for Booker to see him coming and send him out of the ring. Jericho tries to clothesline Booker out of the ring, but Booker sends Jericho over the top rope and into Steiner. After that, the bell is called and the match is over.

Buff Bagwell beats Bam Bam Bigelow. During the match, Bam Bam Bigelow whips Buff Bagwell into referee Mickey Jay, knocking Jay out. Hak and Chastity show up and attack Bigelow with a kendo stick before spraying Bigelow with a fire extinguisher. This allows Buff Bagwell to hit the Buff Blockbuster for the win.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

We see a video package for Goldberg vs. Kevin Nash at Spring Stampede.

Kevin Nash guests on commentary for the next match.

Goldberg vs. Hollywood Hogan vs. Diamond Dallas Page vs. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship ends in a no-contest after Kevin Nash attacks Goldberg and Sting rappels down from the rafters and chases Hogan and Nash out of the ring. Sting is seen pointing his bat at the monitors. We then see an announcement where "Macho Man" Randy Savage - who has not been seen in some time - announces that DDP, Hogan, Flair and Sting will be in a Four Corners Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Spring Stampede and that he will be the special guest referee.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 5, 1999

RAW

The unlikely tandem of X-Pac and Kane beat Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett to become the WWF Tag Team Champions. It is the second reign for both men (X-Pac had won it a few years ago with Bob "Spark Plug" Holly as The 1-2-3 Kid). Kane choke slams Jarrett as X-Pac hits Owen with the Bronco Buster, then Kane grabs X-Pac as if to choke slam him only to pick him up with both hands and drop him on top of Jarrett before keeping Owen at bay.

WWF co-owners Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon as well as Stephanie McMahon are seen talking backstage. A few policemen are nearby. Vince tells Shane he will stay with Stephanie so she stays Shane. As for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and "The Big Show" Paul Wight, Vince could care less about them, and tells Shane to do what he has to do as far as running tonight's show is concerned. Shane leaves the room and talks to The Corporation, which now includes The Big Boss Man again. He tells them that this will be a night that Austin and Paul Wight will not forget.

Lucas interviews X-Pac for WWF.com. X-Pac has no idea where Kane is, and has had no idea since before the match, but says he was there when it counted. As long as Kane is there when the time is right, nobody can beat them.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon leads the rest of The Corporation to the ring. Shane says it is the dawning of a new day, as last week, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin felt the wrath of a new and improved Corporation. He tells Austin that according to the Corporate scoreboard, it's Shane 1, Austin 0, and that does not count the royal screwing he gave him at Survivor Series. He then shows us some footage from last week's Raw, and Shane, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The Rock mock Austin as they watch the footage of themselves and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock attacking Austin until "The Big Show" Paul Wight made the save. Shane tells Big Show that if he wants to sneak up from behind and attack The Corporation, he has another thing coming as The Corporation do things their way, as he will be facing The Rock and Triple H in a 2-on-1 handicap match tonight. Triple H then takes the microphone and tells Big Show that he owuld be better off changing his name to "No Show," because every nimrod in the building and everyone watching at home will get to see what they've been waiting to see for a long time: him and The Rock standing side by side, not going at it, but kicking ass together. From what he sees, Triple H tells Big Show he sees a whole lot of big, hairy dimpled ass for them to kick. The Rock takes the microphone and says he wants to check Big Show into the Smackdown Hotel, but he's pretty sure he will break the toilet seat. That is okay, because Wight will walk down the aisle and The Rock will stick both of his feet up Big Show's rectum. He then says Big Show will realize why The Rock is who he is. Shane then tells The Rock to put "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship around his waist, and says the WWF Championship match will be about this title. Shane then asks for a close-up of the custom-made title to be shown on the TitanTron, and says that while Austin can't own a piece of The Rock, The Rock can own a piece of Austin. Shane then says he will be putting the freeze-framed image of the custom-made title belt on the TitanTron throughout the show at the snap of his fingers, and he will make sure Austin will never get that custom-made title back.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon celebrates with The Corporation backstage, then meets with WWF co-owner Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon. Shane tells Vince that "The Big Show" Paul Wight in a handicap match with The Rock and "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and that he has a freeze-frame of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt on the TitanTron. Stephanie asks if this is a good idea to provoke Wight and Austin, and Vince says he doesn't really care and that it's not a good idea to provoke Austin and Wight. He just wants to get through the night, and asks Shane to calm down.

Ivory heads to the ring. She says that ever since she came to the WWF, she has been wondering if it always that time of the month for P.M.S. (Terri Runnels and Jacqueline), as they are starting to cramp her style. She knows they think they're bad and tough, but she wants to know if they can back it up. She calls Terri "a little priss with a big mouth and a snotty little attitude." Terri tried to burn her with a cigar, and dares her to come down to the ring so they can go at it once and for all. P.M.S. show up, then Jacqueline heads to the back while Terri heads to the ring alone. Terri gets in the ring, and Ivory eventually rips Terri's shirt off, revealing that she is wearing nothing underneath. Suddenly, the lights go out and The Ministry of Darkness shows up. They head into the ring, and by this time, Terri and Ivory are gone. The Undertaker tells WWF co-owner Vince McMahon that he knows he is watching and has Stephanie McMahon by his side. He tells Vince to wrap his hands around her, hold her tight and give her his regards. He also says that he has a secret that he needs to inform Vince of. Tonight, there will be a sacrifice, and not just any sacrifice, but the sacrifice of a certain beautiful young woman who will become one with The Ministry. He says she will be taken from her family and break her father's heart when she accepts the Lord of Darkness as her personal savior. The Undertaker knows Vince will do everything he can to stop him, including sell his own soul, but there is nothing Vince can do about this.

Backstage, WWF co-owner Vince McMahon tells Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco to get him more security. He then tells Stephanie McMahon that tonight will not be like last week, and says that he may have to give the custom-made WWF Championship belt back to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is talking to Stephanie McMahon. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco are back in the room, and the number of security guards in the room has doubled. Vince tells Stephanie that everything will be fine, as there is a lot of security and nobody will harm her.

Al Snow beats Hardcore Holly. After the match, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams shows up with Jim Ross, and Snow and Dr. Death brawl in the ring. Dr. Dreath ends up suplexing both Snow and Hardcore Holly before taking the boots to both of them. Williams and Jim Ross then leave.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon is in the production truck, demanding that the freeze-frame of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt be shown on the TitanTron.

The Undertaker is seen flogging Christian while The Ministry of Darkness watch as punishment for telling "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock where Stephanie McMahon was being held last week.

WAR ZONE

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat The Brood (Gangrel and Edge). Before the match begins, it is announced that Jim Ross will be talking to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin immediately after this match. During the match, Christian shows up, still feeling the effects of being flogged by The Undertaker. Road Dogg tosses Christian into the ring, where Billy Gunn hits him with a Fameasser despite Christian not even being part of the match. Gangrel and Edge take Christian to the back.

Jim Ross interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who says he is the WWF Champion and knows WWF co-owner Vince McMahon knows that he hates him and hates that he owns the WWF. Austin says he made his own WWF Championship belt just to piss him off every time he carries it to the ring. As for WWF co-owner Shane McMahon putting the image of the belt on the TitanTron, if he does it one more time, it will cost the McMahon family a lot of money.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs. Viscera ends with the lights going out and the rest of The Ministry of Darkness ganging up on Shamrock. The Ministry of Darkness then carries a beaten-down Shamrock through the crowd. Backstage, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon tells The Corporation that The Ministry may be leading them to a trap. We then see The Ministry sticking Shamrock into the trunk of a limo.

Before the next match, Val Venis says "The Big Valbowski" is a lot like concrete mix: you get it a little wet, take a step back and watch it get rock hard. Mankind shows up and announces that he has made the cover of Newsday.

Mankind beats Val Venis with the Mandible Claw. During the match, it is announced that WWF.com has unedited footage of the "Outside The Lines" episode about sports entertainment that aired on ESPN on a 20/20 interview that will air this Wednesday.

The lights go in and out in WWF co-owner Vince McMahon's room.

The Ministry of Darkness are seen plotting their next move backstage.

Before the next match, The Godfather offers Goldust the choice of fighting him or spending the night with one of his hos...almost. When Goldust crawls up to one of the hos and proceeds to be Goldust, The Godfather changes his mind and decides to beat his ass.

The Godfather vs. Goldust for the WWF Intercontinental Championship ends in an double count-out after both men fight outside the ring while the hos chase The Blue Meanie - who is attacked by The Godfather earlier in the match - around the ring. Goldust retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is on the phone saying everything is fine when the lights in his room go out and Stephanie McMahon is kidnapped.

The Ministry of Darkness bring Stephanie McMahon to the stage and cover her in a robe before tying her to a giant Undertaker symbol. The symbol is then raised up. The Undertaker and Paul Bearer then show up. The Undertaker tells WWF co-owner Vince McMahon that a young girl would be sacrificed here tonight, and that he will not disappoint him. We then see Vince McMahon in his room with Stephanie McMahon, which means that Stephanie McMahon is not the one tied to the symbol. The woman's face is uncovered, and The Undertaker says nobody can help her now and she will soon become part of The Ministry. The Undertaker says that when he looks at her and touches her skin, it reminds him of Stephanie. Jerry "The King" Lawler is able to identify the woman tied to the symbol as Ryan Shamrock. The Undertaker then says it is time for Ryan to come home, become one with The Ministry and become a power far greater than they one they know, saying she is the chosen one. The Undertaker says it is time Ryan came home. The symbol is then raised as The Undertaker speaks in tongues. An angry Vince is seen telling The Undertaker to stay away from Stephanie, calling him "an evil bastard."

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up as it is reported that WWF co-owner Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon have left the arena under armed guard and are safe. Shane then introduces "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The Rock for the main event. Triple H says he doesn't care whether the crowd is ready or not, and tells everyone watching from the crowd and at home to "suck it." When The Rock speaks on the microphone, he gets flustered when everyone says things along with him, and just ends it with a comedically-delayed "If you smell what The Rock is cookin'." Shane then introduces "The Big Show" Paul Wight. (This is the first instance of Paul Wight coming down to the ring to the the theme that he will be known for for years to come.)

"The Big Show" Paul Wight beats "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The Rock in a 2-on-1 handicap match by disqualification after Chyan hits Big Show with a low blow. After the match, Triple H, Chyna, The Rock and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon attack Big Show, and The Rock hits Big Show with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt. The Rock hits Big Show with The Corporate Elbow, then Austin runs in, fights off The Rock, then gets in the ring and fights off Triple H. The Rock gets back in the ring, but Austin is able to hold his own and hit Triple H with a Stone Cold Stunner before stomping a mudhole into The Rock in the corner. Big Show choke slams Triple H as Shane, The Rock and Chyna retreat. After Triple H is able to leave the ring, Shane puts the freeze-frame of the custom-made WWF Championship belt on the TitanTron, saying that this is the closest he will ever get to it and that it will be up on the TitanTron for the remainder of the night. Austin proceeds to head to the TitanTron as The Corporation leaves, then asks Big Show to come with him to the TitanTron. Austin then asks Big Show to lower the TitanTron. Big Show does just that with his own two hands, and the TitanTron starts to shift. Austin crawls under it and tears a hole from behind. He pulls out a cooler full of beer and brings a pole with him. Austin and Big Show share a cold one, then Austin takes the pole - which has a hook in it - and rips a hole in the TitanTron to end the show.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for April 4, 1999

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up with Triple H, Chyna and The Rock. Shane says that as a competitor in the World Wrestling Federation, he has nothing else to prove along with an unblemished and undefeated record, and announces that the is retiring the WWF European Championship. As for D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), the name of the group belongs to Triple H. Triple H calls the boos "music to [his] ears," and says that the DX name, logo, music, crotch chop, two words and attitude are all his, and when he got done carrying "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, he and Chyna picked the rest of the group up - which he refers to as "The 1-2-3 Kid", "The Real Jesse James" and "Rockabilly" - and carried them for twelve months. He says that the rest of the group wanted to be "cool," "big time" and "over," and while he made them "cool" and "big time" and got them "over," they made the DX Army, because without them, it's "Just three little boys running around playing G.I. Joe in their back yard." He then tells DX that if they want a war, then they have come to the right place, because they've got one, and that he will break X-Pac down at Backlash. Shane says that since his father has other things on his mind, it is time for him to take on some newfound responsibility, starting with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He says that Austin was looking for something last week on Raw, and that it is around The Rock's shoulder right now, and when he tried to get it back, it did not happen. Shane then rules that if Austin wants it back, he will have to beat The Rock in a rematch for the WWF Championship at Backlash. He then says a match of that magnitude needs a special guest referee, and the referee for that match will be none other than himself. The Rock tells Austin that he wants and wants, but he wants something, too: the WWF Championship. The Rock then says some people say he is an icon, that some say that he is immortal and that some say that he is already legendary, but he will say that he is without a shadow of a doubt "the best damn WWF champ there ever was." He says that he will take his right hand and commence to kick his roody-poo candy ass at Backlash and guarantees that he will prove to Austin and the millions of his fans exactly why he is "The Great One", and says that the one things Austin will hear is the sickening sound of him shoving his foot in and out of his candy-ass. Shane then announces that he has a special present for "The Big Show" Paul Wight" tomorrow night, and he will stick his newfound authority down his throat.

WWF CHairman Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon are seen talking to Jerry "The King" Lawler via satellite from Grennwich, Connecticut.

Tori beats Jacqueline by disqualification after Terri Runnels grabs Tori by the hair. After the match, Jacqueline continues to attack Tori, and hits her with a op rope splash. Ivory shows up and confronts Terri, but Jacqueline attacks her from behind. Regeree Jimmy Korderas keeps Terri from burning Ivory with her cigar again.

Val Venis beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. After the match, Black attacks Venis from behind and strikes him with Kendo sticks, causing several referees to show up.

We see a black-and-white shot of the Cleavage house.

Owen Hart, Jeff Jarrett and Debra show up. Owen asks for some competition, and Jarrett says they are standing in the ring tonight as WWF Tag Team Championship with virtually no competition. He issues an open challenge to anyone who has the guts to face them in the ring. The open challenge is answered by Kane, who suddenly shows up in the middle of the ring. Jarrett and Owen retreat, and Jarrett tells Kane they will see him later for the WWF Tag Team Championships.

The Big Boss Man beats Droz. During the match, The Big Boss Man rips Droz's nose ring out and hands it to the announce table.

Backstage, a doctor tends to Droz's nose.

Jerry "The King' Lawler interviews WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon in Greenwich, Connecticut. Stephanie says she does not really remember all that much about what happened to her last Monday, and Vince says this has started some time ago and that Stephanie has endured this pain for some time. He says it started with the envelope containing candid shots of Stephanie McMahon in public as well as at home, all of which invaded her privacy. Vince then brings up the teddy bear that was given to Stephanie as a present as a very young child. Stephanie says that when she came back home the other night, she found strange things written on her mirror and that somet personal things were messed with, and says it is very uncomfortable that someone has been watching her. Vince says he thought he knew The Undertaker, but The Undertaker has changed and is becoming this creature with other people following him. He does not know what The Undertaker wants, as he has known him for a long time, and says he has no idea where his transformation is going. Vince says this is personal now, and that he is a business man. Stephanie says she has known The Undertaker, too, and says she never really known him due to the sudden transformation. Stephanie says she only feels safe when she is with her father Vince, and Vince says that if this does not stop, somebody is going to get hurt, and he will be damned if it is his daughter.

Kane beats Jeff Jarrett and Owen by disqualification after Jarrett hits Kane in the back of the head with a guitar to no effect. After the match, Owen and Jarrett continue to attack Kane, but X-Pac makes the save and fights alongside Kane. Kane grabs X-Pac for a choke slam, but lets go.

Torrie Wilson and Hollywood Hogan are seen talking to each other in a black-and-white vignette. Torrie tells Hollywood that David Flair will not stop talking about him, and that he looks up to him like a father figure. Hogan says that David needs guidance after living with so many lies and rumors all of his life, and to be his dad and have him see the light all in one day, he can see why David is so upset. Hollywood Hogan then embellishes his match against Kevin Nash on January 4th, saying it was "real" and that if he had to fight him again, he would have no idea how it would turn out. Hogan then whispers something into Torrie's ear.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hollywood Hogan. Hogan says Hollywood and the nWo Wolfpac are definitely in the house tonight, and says the last time he was in Canada, they were shaking the rafters as loudly as they are tonight, as when the man with the largest arms in the world hit Canadian soil, they knew there would be a riot going on. He then says he came here to talk straight talk, and says he is the man because he beat the man, and wants to know where the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is. He also goes on to say that when Canadian customs and the border patrol measured his arms to be 24 1/4 inches, they asked him who he was beating up tonight. He then took four fingers and said he would beat up WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He then says he has the rest of the nWo looking for Flair in the building, and if he has to drag him out to the ring and embarrass him out of the country, so be it, as he wants the WCW World Heavyweight Championship back.

The "60 Seconds With Goldberg" vignette is replayed.

It is reported that there are rumors going around that Sting has showed up in Canada.

Mike Tenay interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says that he and Kimberly have gone through some drama, but Kimberly is doing fine and that his doctor has told him that he has an herniated L4 disc, which started a sporadic paralysis in his legs which left him unable to feel them. He says the feeling has come back and that he is feeling good. He does not want to make any excuses, and says Scott Steiner took him out and laid him out and that it will not happen again. As for Scott Steiner's 30-day stipulation, even he thinks that stipulation is ridiculous and is not happening. DDP - no longer wanting to be called "The People's Champion," telling Tenay not to believe the hype - says he will come back on his own terms and pick his spots instead of coming out like a bull in a china shop, and tells Scott Steiner he will get to him and do it his way.

Wrath beats Kenny Kaos. Mike Tenay then plugs the WCW Hotline again.

Torrie Wilson talks to Kevin Nash in a black-and-white vignette. Torrie asks about the match with Hogan at January 4th, and wants to know his side of things about the match. Nash asks Torrie if she thinks Hollywood Hogan can beat him, and says it is as real as Hogan says it was...really interesting, that is.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair says if he was going to kick someone's butt tonight, it would be Ty Domi, but Domi sin't here tonight. He then says that one of the downsides of making big decisions for a big company is going global, and going to Canada is not a good decision as he does not like being here. He says it is the only country in the world where he can take a $100 bill and spend every night of the week in the Marriott with "Mean" Gene. Because he is the president of the greatest wrestling organization in the world and a man who makes things happen, he has a surprise for the wrestling fans in Canada and all over the world tonight. He announces that one of the biggest stars in the industry has been after him all day long, and that he has told him he can come out to the ring on his time and make a presentation to the president of WCW. That man is Diamond Dallas Page, who has not been seen since SuperBrawl IX. DDP says things have changed, and asks what happened in the month he was gone and if Eric Bischoff has beamed into Flair's body. Flair says that since he has the book, he can do what he wants to him just like he used to. DDP tells Flair that introducing him had to feel like sticking needles into his eyes. Flair admits that DDP has elevated much to his chagrin, and knows that DDP wants him to give him a match against Scott Steiner. DDP then calls the Canadian fans "jacked-offs" for "being into women being thrown out of cars." Flair then says he will make a corporate decision, and announces that tonight, DDP will wrestle Hollywood Hogan, and says he is doing it because he is the boss and he gives the orders when DDP questions his courage. Before Flair can say more, Hogan shows up and tells Flair that he is in a lot of trouble as he will get the belt back. As far as DDP goes, the two of them still have a big problem. DDP says he will go through Hogan and then take the World title from Flair if he has to get to Scott Steiner. Hogan says that he and DDP have something in common, and if he has to beat him and jump through hoops to get the World title back, then everyone in Canada will be witnessing it tonight. DDP says that works for him. Flair then says he will ensure DDP's victory by being his manager that night. As DDP tells Flair he does not need him, we suddenly see Sting in black-and-white in the rafters of the arena. Okerlund is shocked at Sting's sudden return, as is Flair, who yells at Sting to get down to the ring.

Kidman says it didn't work out last time, but Rey says that every time they are in the ring, they tear it up. Kidman agrees on the condition that they both enter and leave the ring as partners and not as friends. Rey agrees, saying to forget the past and focus on right now, and that he has his back.

Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against "Gentleman" Chris Adams.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho says he is 100% Canadian, and that he spent his childhood in Canada, grew up in Canada, and became everything that he is today in Canada. Now, he lives in the United States, which earns him boos. But as he walked around in Toronto, looked up at the blue skies and said hello to all the Torontonians, he says one thing is clear: he's glad to live in the United States because Canada sucks. He is then attacked by Jerry Flynn to start the next match.

Chris Jericho beats Jerry Flynn after using the top rope for leverage.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund and Spice of The Nitro Girls plug the "Battle For The Beetle" Sweepstakes again.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up. He says it is nice to be in a place where he gets a little respect as the crowd gives him a positive ovation, and also a place where you see a few kids, too. He says everyone is upset about the ratings and whatnot, so he isn't going to worry very much tonight. After reciting "O Canada," he says he has been in WCW for over a year, a five-time champion and the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. He then says that he cannot get a match with anybody, as "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is hiding behind a chair somewhere and Hollywood Hogan is afraid of him. He says he came to WCW to earn a reputation, not to lose one, and he wants to prove he can excellently execute any wrestler in WCW any time he wants, and says he is not going anywhere until Goldberg gets in the ring with him. He says Goldberg is putting up money to take on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, but Bret says he beat Austin every time he fought him. He says Goldberg likes to fancy himself as a tough football player, and takes off his Calgary Hitmen jersey to reveal a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey as he says that this is hockey country and dares Goldberg to get in the ring with him. Goldberg shows up, then tries to Spear him only to take himself out along with Bret. Bret is the first person to move in any capacity, and he eventually turns Goldberg over and pins him for a self-made three count. He then takes his Toronto Maple Leaf jersey off to reveal that he was wearing a solid iron chest plate underneath. Head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger shows up and checks on Goldberg, and Bret then takes the microphone and says "Respect that!" before telling Eric Bischoff and WCW that he quits. Hart is confronted by WCW Executive Committee Chairman on the way out, then walks off to the back. Someone else confronts Hart, but the show has faded to black for commercials before we can even see who it is.

After the break, we then see who confronted Bret as soon as the broadcast faded to black for commercials: Eric Bischoff.

Before the next match, Buff Bagwell says that it is over between him and Scott Steiner, and tells the crowd that he loves them as much as they love him, because he's buff and he's the stuff.

Buff Bagwell beats Norman Smiley.

Rey Mysterio Jr. and Kidman beat The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) to become the WCW World Tag Team Champions! During the match, Malenko puts Rey in a Texas Cloverleaf as the referee is distracted with Benoit and Kidman. As this is going on, Raven and Saturn show up, and Raven hits Malenko with an Evenflow DDT as Malenko still has the Texas Cloverleaf on Rey. Saturn tells the referee that Rey and Malenko are down, and Rey manages to crawl to Malenko to get the three-count.

We see footage from WCW Spring Break-Out '99 at Panama City, Florida courtesy of Cinn-A-Burst Gum.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Hollywood Hogan beats Diamond Dallas Page. During the match, Hogan whips Page into referee Mickey Jay before clothesline Page into Jay into the corner. Referee Charlese Robinson comes in as Hogan misses the leg drop after the big boot, and Flair eventually hits Page in the back of the head with a steel chair before chopping Hogan. All the while, Robinson does not start the match, and Hogan takes out flair before hitting DDP with the leg drop. Robinson does not make the count, and Hogan knocks Robinson out. Mickey Jay comes to and makes the three-count.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 29, 1999

RAW

"Stone Cold" Stevie Austin shows up to start tonight's show. He asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah," then says he did exactly what he said he would do at WrestleMania 15. He gives The Rock all the credit in the world because it was one heck of a fight, and says that when he woke up this morning and saw the WWF Championship sitting past a pile of beer cans, he realized it was not worth all the trouble and frustration, and that it wasn't going to cut it. He demands that WWF co-owner Vince McMahon show up so he can relinquish the WWF Championship. Vince shows up with a look of relief on his face, and Austin tells him to hurry up and take the belt. Vince asks if he is going to relinquish the title, and Austin says there are no tricks and that he will hand him the WWF Championship, just like that. Vince is reluctant to climb between the ropes and get in the ring, but Austin tells him to take it easy and get in the ring. Austin lets Vince take the WWF Championship, and Vince says that he knew Austin would crack under the pressure one day and wants to thank him, but he can't. Austin stops Vince before he can leave, and tells him he has some footage on the TitanTron: footage from Breakdown where Vince ran away with Austin's custom WWF Championship as well as the footage where Vince says that the title is going above his fireplace on the mantle at one of his homes. Austin tells him he can have that title back, but he is still the WWF Champion and there is nothing he can do about it. He says he is not through yet, and tells him to call one of his butlers to bring back his custom-made WWF Championship because that one is the one that he wants. He tells him he has two hours, and if he doesn't get it in time, he will beat his ass in front of everyone. Vince tells Austin the title is where it is, and every time he sees it, it reminds him he owns a piece of Austin. He says he will not be getting his custom-made championship back and that there is no reason for him to do so. Austin immediately asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they want to see him kick Vince's ass, but Vince tells Austin that if he lays a hand on him, he will fire him on the spot as per his contract. Austin then shows off more footage, this time from last night at WrestleMania 15 where Vince is taking the boots to Austin in the corner along with The Rock. Austin reminds him that this is considered physical provocation, which means Vince belongs to him for 24 hours and that he has two hours to give him the belt back or he will stomp a mudhole in his ass and walk it dry. Vince hits Austin with the WWF Championship and runs away, flips Austin off with both hands and then runs to the back. Austin tells Vince he can be a nice guy sometimes, and other times he can be a mean son-of-a-bitch. He says they will do it the hard way, and that Vince has two hours until his ass belongs to him.

Paul Bearer is seen arriving to the arena with The Undertaker and The The Ministry of Darkness.

WWF co-owner is seen with WWF co-owner Shane McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and a young woman named Stephanie. Vince asks Stephanie to call the house and get "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made championship belt down to the arena as soon as possible. Shane questions why Vince is doing this, but Vince says he has got this and that he will take care of it his way.

Tori and Ivory beat Sable and Jacqueline after Tori chases Terri Runnels to the back as the latter tries to light her cigar before Sable smacks Jacqueline from behind with the WWF Women's Championship, giving Tori the win. After the match, Tori and Sable stare down, but the lights go out and The Ministry of Darkness show up. Tori is gone, but Sable is still in the ring when some semblance of light returns to the arena. The Undertaker says he came out here to see what she's got, and Sable gyrates her hips before The Undertaker grabs her by the throat. The Undertaker tells WWF co-owner Vince McMahon that he has his meal ticket and that he can snap her like a twig, and wants him to come to the ring before he snaps her head off her shoulder. Vince is seen backstage, telling Shane and Stephanie to stay backstage in order to be safe, and he eventually makes his way to the stage. Vince asks The Undertaker what kind of man he is, and The Undertaker looks at the TitanTron. Vince then says Stephanie's name and leaves, and The Undertaker says it is nice to see Vince's true colors. He then wants to see what he thinks of his personal assets. Vince runs back to the back, and Stephanie is gone as security guards near the room are laid out.

WWF co-owners Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon do not call the cops on Stephanie's disappearance, and Vince refers to what The Undertaker did to The Big Boss Man last night. He also says that Stephanie could just as easily be in the parking lot. (It is mentioned on commentary afterwards that Stephanie is Vince McMahon's daughter, which means she is a McMahon.)

X-Pac shows up. One year ago tonight, he came back to the World Wrestling Federation because he got a call from a friend who told him "Kid, D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) is falling apart. Please come and hold this thing together." He says that it's been a hell of a ride, and along with The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg, Billy Gunn), they have been kicking ass and taking names for a year straight, but that all changed last night. He says that we all have important choices to make in life, and last night, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley made his. Tonight, he makes his, and D-Generation X will not die, as he and The New Age Outlaws will come out each and every week, say "Suck it!" and raise hell. He tells Triple H that tonight, he is not Hunter, he is hunted. Tonight, they will fight, and Triple H's ass is grass and he's going to smoke it.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon tells WWF co-owner Shane McMahon that Stephanie McMahon is not in the parking lot. The phone rings, and Vince picks the phone up. The Undertaker is on the other end, saying it is true that Stephanie is sugar and spice and everything nice before laughing, confirming that Stephanie is Vince's daughter. Vince throws down the telephone receiver in disgust.

"The Big Show" Paul Wight, who has been released from jail on his own recognizance after his arrest from last night, quickly beats Test. After the match, Big Show says he knows WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is sitting in the back with some personal trauma on his hands, and when he sits back and thinks about it, he really doesn't give a damn. The first mistake Vince made was being dumb enough to think he owns him, as nobody owns The Big Show. As for Vince saying that everything would chance when he showed up in the WWF, Vince was right, and he is going to eat those words.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is seen backstage talking to "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, asking him to help him find Stephanie McMahon. Ken says if she is in the building, he will find her and bring her back, and leaves along with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock looks around the building for Stephanie McMahon.

Jim Ross guests on Spanish commentary for the next match, demanding his job on the commentary table back and also putting "Dr. Death" Steve Williams over.

Hardcore Holly retains the WWF Hardcore Championship against "Dr. Death" Steve Williams. During the match, Dr. Death hits Hardcore Holly with the Oklahama Stampede, but the referee is knocked out by one of Holly's boots in the middle of the move. Al Snow shows up out of the crowd and hits Dr. Death with a frying pan, knocking him out. The referee comes to and counts the pinfall for Hardcore Holly. Jim Ross tells the referee what has happened, but the referee's decision is final.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon asks WWF co-owner Shane McMahon to take over the show and do what he needs to do.

WAR ZONE

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon accompanies The Rock to the ring before the next match, and guests on commentary.

The Rock beats "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn. During the match, The Rock takes a commentary headset and speaks on it briefly until Billy Gunn moons him, knocks the headset off The Rock's head, puts it on and tells WWF co-owner Shane McMahon to suck it.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon says The Undertaker may be near the ring, and tearfully asks "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock to bring Stephanie McMahon back. Shamrock says he will find Stephanie even if he has to tear The Undertaker's leg off.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Gangrel with the ankle lock as he tries to get information on where Stephanie McMahon is. After the match, Shamrock is attacked from behind by Edge and Gangrel, and when he is covered in blood, he is seen putting Christian in an ankle lock. Christian tells him that Stephanie McMahon is in the basement.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock searches the basement of the arena for Stephanie McMahon.

Goldust beats "Road Dogg" Jesse James to become the WWF Intercontinental Champion for a third time. During the match, Ryan Shamrock tries to approach the ring, but The Blue Meanie stops her, saying Goldust doesn't want to hear what she has to say. Later on, Road Dogg gets the Meanie involved by whipping and slamming him into Goldust. In response, The Blue Meanie grabs the Intercontinental Championship and hits Road Dogg in the head with it as Goldust whips Road Dogg into the ropes and the referee is not looking to help Goldust earn the title. After the match, Goldust says the Intercontinental Championship has come home, and says "oh, what a raging climax that was." He says this is for all who didn't believe and didn't dream he would do this, and says he now knows what he was missing and now knows who he is. Very soon, everyone will know, too, and we will never, ever forget the name of Goldust.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock finds Stephanie McMahon, her make-up ruined and an Undertaker symbol on her forehead. Shamrock helps her out of the basement.

Stephanie McMahon is reunited with her father, WWF co-owner Vince McMahon. Vince says The Ministry of Darkness will pay.

Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett retains the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) - now officially with Paul Ellering as their manager and no longer "L.O.D. 2000" - after Debra distracts the referee and Jarrett hits Animal in the head with a guitar. Before the match, it is announced that Backlash: In Your House will be live on pay-per-view Sunday night, April 25th.

A black limousine pulls up. The driver leaves the car and arrives with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is with The Corporation and Stephanie McMahon, and is thanking "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock for his efforts in finding Stephanie when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt. Vince says the night is over, that he doesn't give a damn about the belt, and to just hand the title to Austin. Vince leaves with Stephanie to take her home, along with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. After they all leave, Shane tells Shamrock this is not over, and to find The Rock and bring him to the room.

X-Pac beats "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley by disqualification. During the match, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon grabs X-Pac's leg as X-Pac readies the Bronco Buster. X-Pac chases after Shane only to be leveled with a clothesline by Chyna. After the match, Triple H continues to attack X-Pac, and Chyna low blows X-Pac before Triple H puts him in the Pedigree. The lights go out, and Kane shows up. Shane forearms Kane from behind, and Shane runs away. Triple H tries to fight Kane, but Kane hits him with a right hand. Chyna gets in the ring and confronts Kane, and Shane hands a steel chair to Triple H, who then hits Kane in the head with the steel chair. Chyna and Triple H then leave, but Kane gets up and grabs the steel chair before heading to the back. As this happens, Shane is seen hiding behind the English commentary table. Shane then grabs the microphone and gets in the ring, and tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin he is doing things his way. He says he is a champion just like Austin, and if Austin wants his custom-made WWF Championship back, it will not be hard to find as it is around The Rock's waist. The Rock shows up with Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt, and says that last night, the entire world witnessed him lay the smack down on Austin's candy ass, and he almost gives credit where credit is due. He admits that Austin defeated him, but says it took Stone Cold Stunners to beat him. Austin shows up and immediately goes after The Rock. Both men brawl, but Austin ends up hitting Shane with a Stone Cold Stunner before The Rock puts the boots to Austin and hits him in the face with the custom-made WWF Championship belt. Triple H returns and takes the boots to Austin along with The Rock, and Chyna, Test and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock also show up. Shamrock and Test also gets a piece of Austin as Chyna helps Shane to the back. Suddenly, "The Big Show" Paul Wight shows up and single-handedly fights off The Corporation. Shamrock gets a Stunner, and Triple H gets a choke slam to close out the show.

After the show goes off the air, "Triple H" gets a Stone Cold Stunner from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, then Austin and "The Big Show" Paul Wight stand tall in the ring. Austin then brings a steel chair into the ring, and uses it against anyone who tries to get back in the ring. Triple H almost gets back in, but decides against it. The Corporation then make their way to the back. Austin catches two beers (two others are thrown, but Austin misses them), and Austin drinks the beers as he celebrates. Big Show waits in the corner of the ring, and Austin grabs the microphone. Austin says he went to WrestleMania 15 and burned the Smackdown Hotel to the ground, and asks The Rock - who is still on the ramp with WWF co-owner Shane McMahon - to come to the ring so he can drink a beer with Austin and let bygones be bygones, even going so far as to ask the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they want to see him and The Rock drink a beer together. The Rock is wary of getting in, as The Big Show is still there, but Austin says there is no trickery here. Austin and The Rock shake hands and drink a beer, then both men fight only for Austin to give The Rock a Stunner almost instantly. When The Rock stumbles back up, he eats another Stunner. Austin then leaves the ring, takes Shane and throws him to Big Show, who immediately choke slams Shane. Both Austin and Big Show have a beer together. The Rock leaves with Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt. Austin then celebrates one more time, then tosses another beer to Big Show.
