Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 5, 2013

Stephanie McMahon is in the ring, and we get to see the corporate makeover of Daniel Bryan. She calls Bryan out, and he shows up with his hair in a ponytail, a slightly shorter yet neater beard and wearing a suit. Nobody likes this, and Bryan is convinced WWE would rather have someone like John Cena, as Cena is an entertainer, unlike Bryan who considers himself a wrestler. Of course, if Cena got fired tomorrow, he'd never wrestler again while Daniel Bryan would be in armories and gymnasiums and whatnot while still at it if he suffered the same fate. When he asks the WWE Universe if they like wrestling, they say yes. Bryan then promises to beat Cena at SummerSlam, then Vince McMahon shows up. He's actually impressed, but still teases him on a few things. He then tells him to do one more thing if he really wants to be WWE Champion: cut the beard. He calls for a few stage hands to get a barber chair, and after a few tense minutes, D-Bry sits in the chair. Vince then calls for Wade Barrett to be the barber, and Barrett shows up. D-Bry gives Barrett a request to fulfill concerning the beard, but it's just a set-up for D-Bry to headbutt Barrett and give the man his come-uppance, going so far as to cut some of Barrett's facial hair with the razor he brought in. D-Bry then runs up the ramp and takes the shirt off, revealing a T-shirt saying "The Beard Is Here." Vince is livid.

The Miz guests on commentary for the next match.

Rob Van Dam beats Alberto Del Rio after causing the returning Ricardo Rodriguez's tactics of putting the bucket between two turnbuckle pads to backfire. After the match, Ricardo tries to tell him it was an accident, but Del Rio destroys him.

Cody Rhodes shows up, and has a gift for Damien Sandow. After the recap of what's happened between them, he opens the boxes and pulls out - you guessed it - the waterlogged SmackDown Money In The Bank briefcase. Sandow shows up and tells Rhodes to drop it and walk away. He does, but then rushes back when Sandow tries to pick up and overpowers him. Rhodes then empties the blue briefcase of the gunked-up contents, including the waterlogged contract.

Ryback walks away, giving "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry the count-out win.

John Cena shows up. He talks abotu Daniel Bryan's criticisms of him, and compares him to The Rock and CM Punk for it. He also says D-Bry glorifies armories and auditoriums because he's more comfortable in them. He promises to beat Daniel Bryan, then Randy Orton shows up. He says the Raw Money In The Bank briefcase is what matters to him, not who wins at SummerSlam. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) show up. Daniel Bryan runs in to even the odds. The Shield try to flee, then Brad Maddox runs in and stops everyone in their tracks, putting them all in a six-man tag match.

Kofi Kingston returns! He beats Fandango in his first match since getting injured by Ryback.

Stephanie McMahon tells Triple H that her dad Vince McMahon has chewed her out for the "failure" of the Daniel Bryan corporate makeover. Triple H finally makes it known that he is tired of Vince's shit, and plans on stopping Vince from doing...whatever it is he's going to do.

The Real Americans (Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro) beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso).

Kaitlyn comes out and attacks AJ as Dolph Ziggler takes on Big E Langston. Ziggler tries to separate the two ladies, which gives Big E Langston the upper hand and the win against Ziggler after he's able to land the Big Ending.

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) vs John Cena, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan prematurely ends when The Shield gang up on Daniel Bryan. Orton RKO's Bryan, then he and Cena clean house when The Shield strike again. Orton then RKOs Cena and then tries to cash in his WWE Championship Money In The Bank briefcase only for The Shield to get back in the ring again. Orton walks off, and Daniel Bryan receives a three-man powerbomb.

Alberto Del Rio shows up. He thanks the WWE Universe for nothing because nobody wanted him to be champion, but here he is now. He makes fun of John Cena's SummerSlam opponent choice in Daniel Bryan, and says Cena is afraid of him. He considered Brock Lesnar, but Lesnar is busy. He considered Booker T but ended up considering Booker a disappointment. He chooses...Ricardo Rodriguez?!? Vickie Guerrero is not amused and feels disappointed. She calls Ricardo a "jiggly little manchild." Del Rio wants another pick, but it's the Brooklyn Brawler, and Vickie isn't amused with this easier. Renee Young interviews Kaitlyn and Layla. Kaitlyn is ready for AJ Lee this time, and Layla is pulling for Kaitlyn all the way!

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 24, 2013

Before his rematch with Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan address those who thinks he suffers from "little man's syndrome": he wasn't an extra in The Hobbit, and they're all morons. Beating Orton by count-out isn't enough and is how a weak link would take the victory. He wants a pinfall or submission. Orton shows up and tells D-Bry to shut up and fight!

Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton ends in a no-contest after degenerating into an all-out brawl from the very start. All the refs have to hold both men back.

Heyman swears on his children that he had nothing to do with this and had no idea Lesnar was there...but that Punk picked a fight with Lesnar by saying Lesnar needed Heyman's help. Heyman knows better than to screw up what he has. He loves Punk as a best friend, and would never represent anyone who is against CM Punk, including Brock Lesnar. Heyman even wants to walk down the ramp as he reclaims the WWE title. He then places his fate in Punk's hands. After a silent minute or two, Punk says "I'm sorry I doubted you" and hugs Heyman.

The three men argue until The Shield shows up on the Titantron, mocking and laughing at them.

Layin da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for March 15, 2013

Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes - Team Rhodes Scholars - start out tonight's show in Fort Wayne, Indiana by talking about how their Monday night plans with the Bella Twins...and their victory against The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James" and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn)...were ruined. They also complain about Sheamus and Randy Orton beating them later that night...so they're gonna ruin Sheamus and Orton's night this time around for good measure.

Sheamus and Randy Orton beat Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes), then The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) show up on the TitanTron. They talk about how they own the ring and how they took down Big Show, then talk about how they don't have a match at WrestleMania. They challenge Sheamus, Orton and a partner of their choice to a 6-man tag team match at WrestleMania. Sheamus and Orton accept.

Big Show meets Randy Orton and Sheamus about being their partner at WrestleMania. He doesn't get the position, though...it goes to Ryback.

Layla gets the hot tag in to help herself - and Kaitlyn - to a win against Tamina Snuka and Aksana. Kaitlyn is not impressed.

The Funkadactyls (Cameron and Naomi) meet The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella). They get dissed by the Bellas, and it ends up being a brawl after the Bellas "introduce themselves." The refs have to stop the fight before it gets out of control.

Dolph Ziggler beats Kane thanks to AJ's interference. Daniel Bryan tries to distract Big E Langston, but to no avail. Kane grabs Dolph by the throat after the match only to be laid out by Big E.

Alberto Del Rio and Ricard Rodriguez make fun of Jack Swagger, Zeb Coulter...and Canada. Genius.

R-Truth and Chris Jericho laugh, but Jericho meets Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter. Jericho makes it clear that he's sick of their crap.

JBL is back from attempting to climb Mt. Death. He's safe and sound.

Fandango slams Natalya and The Great Khali's dancing, and wants them to pronounce his name correctly. Khali doesn't do well to Fandango's standards, and Fandango leaves again.

Josh Mathews interviews Sheamus and Randy Orton about their WrestleMania match, which Booker T has just made official. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) attack both men from out of nowhere.

Ryback meets Booker T and Teddy Long. Booker asks Ryback to concentrate on his match against Mark Henry.

The match between Ryback and Mark Henry has just begun when The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) attack. Mark Henry walks away as The Shield destroy Ryback with a triple powerbomb. Mark Henry re-enters the ring and hits Ryback with the World's Strongest Slam...three times.

Jack Swagger beats Chris Jericho.

Is Fandango being debuted tonight? We'll see...

As Alberto Del Rio takes on WWE Universe-picked Dolph Ziggler, Ricardo Rodriguez almost gets Big E Langston wet, but Big E dodges the water he tosses at him...and it hits AJ Lee instead! AJ chases after Ricardo, but Big E holds her back. Both Big E and AJ get thrown out.

Alberto Del Rio beats Dolph Ziggler with the Cross Arm Bar.

Daniel Bryan meets AJ again, and they insult each other repeatedly. D-Bry gets the last laugh.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry squashes Yoshi Tatsu.

Matt Striker interviews Sheamus, who thinks Big Show is full of crap. The only thing that won't be Show's fault is his loss to Sheamus tonight!

Tamina Snuka makes quick work of Kaitlyn.

Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes are in the back to prepare for their match against the New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) on Raw next week. Cody Rhodes is smitten with Kaitlyn, but Sandow can't see it.

Fandango is ticked Lillian Garcia "butchered" his name...so he delays his debut. Again. He also calls Lillian "Jillian." Jerk.

Booker T is ticked with Fandango, and asks Teddy Long to send a message to him: either compete or get fired.

As Sheamus and Big Show fight, The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) show up. Randy Orton tries to even the odds, but The Shield beat them up until Big Show gets back into the ring and cleans house. The Shield is vanquished for now, but once again Show knocks out Sheamus only to eat an RKO from Orton.
