Layin 'da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for July 5, 2013

CM Punk comes out. After talking about Independence Day, he uses it as a metaphor for his career. Punk then address two things: he wants Brock Lesnar to pay for what he did two weeks ago, and he wants to win the Raw briefcase at Money In The Bank and become WWE Champion again. Alberto Del Rio shows up. He says SmackDown is his show, before making fun of Independence Day and the American people. CM Punk calls Del Rio the #1 contender to "Best In The World" and nothing more. Del Rio says he owns SmackDown, and tells Punk to get out. Punk tells Del Rio to make him get out. Teddy Long shows up and pits them against each other in the main event tonight.

CM Punk meets Paul Heyman, who wants Punk to ditch the match against Alberto Del Rio. He won't, and Punk tells Heyman to stay out of Money In The Bank as well.

Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes announce that one of them will be victorious at Money In The Bank.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) beat Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes). The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) taunt the Usos from the TitanTron yet again.

AJ Lee shows up and skips around the ring...then climbs onto the ring apron only to be drop kicked by Kaitlyn! Alicia Fox takes advantage and beats Kaitlyn with a schoolgirl pin, and Kaitlyn chases after AJ after the match.

The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) tell AJ lee they're coming for the Divas title, then AJ and Big E Langston run out of the arena.

Renee Young interview both Randy Orton and Christian. Both men have every intent in tearing it up tonight and at Money In The Bank.

Randy Orton beats Christian.

Teddy Long tells Paul Heyman to join commentary in the main event, using CM Punk's self-proven "do the opposite" advice against Punk himself.

Dolph Ziggler gets the mic. He knows the WWE Universe has seen through Alberto Del Rio's facade, and promises to become World Heavyweight Champion again.

Dolph Ziggler beats Drew McIntyre, then beats Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal again in record time. McIntyre, Mahal and Slater tell Ziggler to get back in the ring, and he does, beating all three of them in record time yet again.

Fandango beats Justin Gabriel.

Paul Heyman guests on commentary for the next match.

Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk fight to a double count-out after Del Rio attacks Paul Heyman. This enrages Punk, who beats down Del Rio and lands the GTS on him as a result.
