The match is restarted by Tony Khan, but both men are soon attacked by "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita, who hits Ospreay with a knee and Ricochet with Raging Fire. Takeshita then brings the International Championship to the ring and raises it up in the middle of the ring. Will Ospreay retains the AEW International Championship.

Jericho congratulates AEW on five years and their brand-new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, saying they made a bunch of "experts" look like idiots before saying there would be no TV deal if it were not for him. Bryan Keith starts a "Thank You, Chris" chant. Jericho also states that today is the 34th anniversary of his professional wrestling debut and says that it is such an unbelievable feeling not just being an eight-time world champion, but also mentoring future superstars and getting as much TV time as he can. He then talks about selling out Arena Mexico and beating Mark Briscoe as of late and that it is time to introduce a new era of Jericho, saying "The Ocho" is out and "El Nueve" is in before challenging Mark Briscoe for the ROH World title at WrestleDream. Mark Briscoe then calls Jericho one of the most influential and finest pro wrestlers in the last four decades, as it works out well for him that Jericho pinned him, as Jericho is in line for a title shot that he personally looks forward to. He says that the word of the day is "consequential," as he will consequentially beat Chris Jericho to retain his championship, but Jericho says Mark Briscoe cannot beat him before stating that maybe his brother Jay Briscoe could have. Jericho then says that Mark will never be as good as Jay was, and Mark Briscoe chops him in the jaw, demands that Jericho keep his brother's name out of his mouth, and tells him that if he wants to go that far, then he will get a Briscoe Brothers-style ass whupping. He then calls the knock down "consequential."
We hear from Darby Allin, who talks about how he was on a bus when he turned around and saw three men taking turns spitting on the back of his head and actually did something about it, and how he was reminded of those three guys when Jon Moxley told him he was not ready to be World Champion. He says he put everything on the line against Moxley and that it should have been him going on to WrestleDream, and while he says he is ready to be the face of AEW, he and the fans are both losing faith in himself and all he can do is face. Darby says he will be at WrestleDream, and puts out an open challenge to anyone in the locker room who wants to make a name for himself, as he has nothing left to lose.

We hear from "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, who tells Jon Moxley that their match for the AEW World Championship is bigger than the both of them and that they have broken the system that professional wrestling was built on, which is why he challenged "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada. He says that he and Okada both have a win apiece, and while Okada has broken his orbital bone, he has not broken his spirit. He says that they beat The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) once and that they can beat them again, then says that they are feeling froggy and they can do it right now. The Young Bucks appear from behind the video screen, and Nicholas says AEW cannot have an anniversary show without the people who built the company. Matthew mentions that they have an overrun tonight and that he has an idea, then says they can put the tag team titles on the line right now before mentioning that they have limited dates and will not waste one of them on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As The Young Bucks leave, "Scapegoat" Jack Perry shows up and attacks Marq Quen, then The Young Bucks run into the ring and join Perry. Suddenly, "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata runs into the ring to even the numbers, and The Young Bucks and Jack Perry flee. Interim Executive Vice President Christopher Danielson shows up and says Private Party has been a thorn in The Young Bucks' side since the beginning of AEW and that he would love to see them piss The Young Bucks off. He then proposes a six-man match between the team of Private Party and Shibata and The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, Jack Perry) on Rampage.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews MVP, who is about to make an announcement when Prince Nana shows up and says MVP talked spicy about him and Swerve, and says MVP forgot he used to be a wrestler and that he will lace his boots up for him. MVP says that sounds like a complaint and that he does not do complaints, then introduces Shelton Benjamin, whom he calls the head of the complaint department. Shelton drinks from Prince Nana's coffee cup, then walks off with it alongside MVP.
"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson retains the AEW World Championship against "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada with a backslide pin after Claudio Castagnoli and PAC show up to watch from the front row. During the match, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada's AEW Continental Championship was also being defended, but Danielson failed to win the match within the first twenty minutes; therefore, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada retains the AEW Continental Championship. After the match, Okada hits Danielson with another Rainmaker, then blames Claudio and PAC for his loss before storming to the back. Claudio and PAC get in the ring and hold Danielson up for Jon Moxley, who soon shows up and tells Danielson that he is playing for something much bigger for himself and that he is doing what he is doing because he has to. He says that if it were up to him, he would have put Danielson out of his misery a long time ago. All of a sudden, Wheeler Yuta runs into the ring with a hammer and scares The Blackpool Combat Club (Moxley, Claudio, PAC) out of the ring, then Jon Moxley gets back in the ring and looks at Wheeler. Wheeler dares Moxley to give him a reason to hit him, and Danielson attacks Moxley. Danielson and Wheeler fight off The Blackpool Combat Club, who are sent into a retreat, and Wheeler says he is sick of Claudio and PAC treating him like a child, for he is his own man who can make his own decision and fight his own fights. He then says that if they want to go through Danielson next week, they will have to go through him. Danielson then joins in, making the challenge a tag team match.
