Adam Cole heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Cole says that while he wants to talk about his year-long road to recovery, the fans would rather her about MJF. He says life is filled with shades of gray, and that sometimes one must fight evil with evil. He says that MJF will tell everyone that he broke his trust and betrayed him for no reason, and while he is a lot of things, "stupid" is not one of them, and that anyone who trusts a guy like MJF is stupid. Cole says the MJF we see now is the real MJF that he saw behind closed door and terrorized AEW for five years while he pretends to care about the company when he only cares about himself. He says that everything about MJF is "fake," from his hair to his brash attitude, saying that MJF is "a scared, insecure little boy" who cries in a corner by himself in a hotel room over the slightest criticism. Cole calls MJF "a phony" who cannot be trusted and that the locker room agrees with everything that he has said, and while the locker room is one of the best and contains some young guys who will carry AEW into the future, they view MJF's path as "successful." He says that MJF's path is full of failure and loneliness, and that while MJF thinks everybody loves him, everyone hates him, and Cole says that he hates even having to share a building with him before calling him out for a fight. MJF's theme hits, and Adam Cole looks around when MJF fails to promptly show. MJF then appears on the video screen with a glass of wine in his hand. MJF says that he has been in the business for a decade and that he has learned there is no such thing as trust in the business, which is full of jackals waiting and watching to see if you will trip to eat you up and spit you up. He says he told himself that he would never let this happen again, but he became with Adam Cole, and Adam Cole stabbed him in the back and caused him to never trust again. MJF says that Cole has created this void in his heart and an inability to ever trust again, yet the fans cheer for Cole, and while Cole wants to beat him within an inch of his life, he will never get him in the ring and be left with a void of unfulfilled vengeance. Cole tells MJF that he knows him better than anybody else and that he can run, but he cannot hide, and he promises with every fiber of his being that when he gets his hands on him, he will give him the ass-beating of a lifetime and make him wish they never met.
In backstage footage from WrestleDream, Renee Paquette interviews "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho, who says that he feels vindicated, as he is in a movie and his band is on tour, and while he wanted to become ROH World Champion, Briscoe cheated to retain. He tells Mark Briscoe that he wants his rematch and he wants it soon, and that he awaits his reply, as he plans to be a two-time ROH World Champion just like Jay Briscoe.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Mark Briscoe. Mark Briscoe says he dropped "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho on his head and beat him, yet Jericho is asking for a rematch. He says Jericho has said some dumb stuff, but he cannot let Jericho mentioning his brother again slide. He says that Jericho has his rematch because he wants to get his hands on him, but he wants to raise the stakes, and makes it a Ladder War. As for tonight, he says that FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) - who show up - will get their hands on Big Bill and Bryan Keith.

Matthew says they will never wrestle again before The Young Bucks leave. Stokely Hathaway shows up and says Private Party should put their history as a tag team on the line, and that if they lose again, they must split up as a team. He also says Isiah Kassidy is the solo star anyway, then leaves. Isiah says "If that's what it takes..."
Backstage, we hear from The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, "Scapegoat" Jack Perry). Jack Perry says today is a special day in the creation of AEW, as today is Kenny Omega's birthday. He says that Omega has not been here in some time and that he has twenty feet of his intestines removed to save his life after they nearly ended it, but The Elite still wanted to get him something. They then produce a black-and-red cake saying "Happy Brithday Kenny!" before Perry dumps kidneys and livers on it and Okada says "Happy Birthday, bitch!" Perry then says "Get well soon, Kenny...or die. I really don't care."
The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, "Azucar" Rocky Romero) beat The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada) by disqualification after Wheeler Yuta suddenly shows up and hits Orange Cassidy with a Busaiku Knee. After the match, Claudio Castagnoli and PAC show up, and along with Wheeler, they attack The Conglomeration before Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir show up. All the while, The Elite watch from the bottom of the ramp. Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) and Action Andretti show up to fight The Blackpool Combat Club (Moxley, Claudio, Wheeler, PAC), but they get wiped out, and The Dark Order (Evil Uno, John Silver, Alex Reynolds) run towards the ring to make the save, with Alex Reynolds asking The Elite, who are still standing around, "What's wrong with you guys?" "Scapegoat" Jack Perry soon shows up, and The Elite head to the back as The Blackpool Combat Club continue to lay waste to everyone. Moxley then says that anyone involved with AEW is now under attack, and if anyone does not like what just happened or what happened at WrestleDream, they need to understand that this is "the cost of doing business." After The Blackpool Combat Club leave, Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) and Daniel Garcia show up to help people to the back.
Backstage, Arkady Aura interviews The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, "Scapegoat" Jack Perry). Garcia tells Private Party that he has their backs if they have his.
Shelton Benjamin beats Lio Rush. After the match, MVP says that Lio Rush, in his youthful exuberance, opened his mouth, and that Shelton Benjamin, with his experience and skill, closed it. He then says he cannot make a better statement than what Shelton just made, but he knows Swerve Strickland is watching, and he wants him to reconsider his position, as what happened to Lio Rush is his future, and he believes that they should finish the conversation they started at WrestleDream.
We hear from Darby Allin, who announces that all proceeds from Shop AEW will be going to Tony Hawk's Skateboarding Project, which builds skate parks in underprivileged areas.

Don Callis walks up to the podium in the middle of the ring to announce that with all of the news regarding his family, there should be a press conference, then he realized there are no real journalists in pro wrestling and that he will answer all the questions himself. Callis talks about acquiring Brian Cage and Lance Archer, and after nearly getting the tag team titles, he wants them, and asks who better to take them than Cage and Archer. He says there is more good news coming, and brings out Kyle Fletcher and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita. Callis says that Takeshita will be a true International Champion and that Takeshita will defend all over the world, then Takeshita says that if anyone wants the Intercontinental Championship, then all they have to do is come and take it. Callis then asks the fans to show some decorum, as it has been a tough week for Fletcher and he has a lot on his mind. Fletcher takes the podium and says everyone has been asking why he turned on Will Ospreay, but everyone wants to talk about Ospreay when the family is having its biggest night in history. As for why he did what he did, "too bad." Callis says the fans are too ignorant and refuse to shut up, so they will not get the reason, then says the family has never been stronger than today.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "The Glamour" Mariah May, who asks where the competition is. Evil Uno says that if The Blackpool Combat Club wants to take their livelihoods and wants a fight, then they will get it, and Darius Martin says they will have to go through teams like them. Action Andretti states that he and Top Flight will take the World Trios Championships from The Blackpool Combat Club at Collision.
Christian Cage beats "Switchblade" Jay White after Kip Sabian shows up and argues with the referee, allowing "Hangman" Adam Page to suddenly show up and hit Jay White with the Buckshot Lariat behind the referee's back.
