Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for April 12, 2023

Darby Allin beats Swerve Strickland with the Last Supper despite the distraction from Prince Nana, being tripped from the outside by "The Machine" Brian Cage (which gets Cage and Nana ejected) and Swerve grabbing a chair only to have it kicked into his face. After the match, MJF shows up. After the commercial break, MJF addresses Darby in the ring, saying he will give credit where credit is due as Darby had an incredible match, especially when "Daddy Sting" was not out there, then admits that they both had one of the greatest match ever at Full Gear 2021. He then admits that they both had one of the greatest match ever at Full Gear 2021. After stating that Darby may be one of his best opponents, he still beat him with a headlock takeover, and questions the idea of Darby beating him for the "Triple B." MJF tells Darby that he is "not on the level of the Devil," Darby asks MJF if anything he has done in his life has made him happy, then brings up how six years ago, MJF said that his problems would wash away when he made it to national television. He says that nothing changed for MJF, and that when he himself chased national television, he had to go to therapy, and he went from worrying about his own mental health to giving back to him family. He tells MJF that this is just "a fifteen-minute ride." Darby says he is not like MJF and that he will not lower his morals to be somebody in this world, then dares MJF to keep talking. MJF calls Darby "an arrogant little boy" for thinking he is special and that he does not have to go through what others have had to go through, and says he is sick and tired of him and others whining about morals, "as morals kill careers in this sport." He says that Darby stands as a daredevil when he is really a gutless coward, as he does not have the guts to sacrifice what must be sacrificed. MJF says he is aware that he may not go to Heaven on his deathbed, and that all that matters is if the "Triple B" goes with him. He also says he is willing to do what it takes to leave a legacy in professional wrestling as the greatest of all time, while Darby's legacy will be as "Sting's bitch." Suddenly, Sting shows up. He heads to the ring and says that the talk of has late somewhat offends him and sees himself more of a cheerleader than a "daddy daycare" guy as he pulls out a pom pom and hits MJF with it, then says he has a fever and that the only cue is more pom poms, which he produces out of his jacket and throws at MJF. He then says that he will stop now with the pom poms if MJF stops with the "daddy daycare crap," then mentions how "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes was a support system for MJF much like he is for Darby and how "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair was a support system for him. From there, he evolved, and became part of the nWo Wolfpac - and gives a tribute to Kevin Nash and Scott Hall - and says there is a little bit of The Joker left in him as well as a thirst for the world title. He admits that "showtime is almost over" for him, but it is just beginning for Darby, and promises MJF that Darby will become AEW's world heavyweight champion. Darby says "this plastic world" has not taken him alive, and that he will leave the man who ended MJF's reign of terror to become AEW World Champion. MJF spits in Darby's face and rolls out of the ring.

Powerhouse Hobbs quickly retains the TNT Championship against "The Last Real Man" Silas Young. After the match, QT Marshall and Powerhouse Hobbs drag Silas Young up the ramp when Wardlow shows up on the video screen and vandalizes Powerhouse Hobbs' new car with a metal rod. He then smashes the window with a gold stander, then eyes a forklift. Wardlow gets in the forklift and puts the prongs of the forklift through the passenger side window, then lifts the car from underneath and tips it onto its roof. As Hobbs is about to powerbomb Silas Young through a table, Wardlow shows up and brawls with Hobbs on the ramp. The locker room empties to stop the brawl, but they are overpowered, and officials and referees have to step in. Aaron Solo, who gets on top of Wardlow during all of this, gets thrown down onto the ramp by Wardlow, and Wardlow ends up putting him through the table with a powerbomb.

We hear from "Switchblade" Jay White and "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson. Jay White says they are Bullet Club high rollers, and Juice warns "Absolute" Ricky Starks that they are just getting started with him. Jay White says this is just the beginning and that this will be Bullet Club's greatest era ever as they are "Bullet Club Gold."

Orange Cassidy retains the AEW International Championship against Buddy Matthews with the Mouse Trap despite his right hand being injured during the match. During the match, it is announced that this week's Rampage will air immediately following this Friday's NBA coverage on TNT. After the match, Orange Cassidy has to be helped to the back by Dr. Samson.

We see a vignette for Christian Cage and Luchasaurus. Christian says "Some things have changed."

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Best Friends (Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta). Trent Beretta says Orange Cassidy's hand is fine as he is on the championship run of his life and making the locker room jealous. Chuck Taylor then challenges Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) to a match against Best Friends on Rampage.

"All Ego" Ethan Page is in the ring. He admits that The Firm has had a bit of a rough patch after what Matt Hardy and Hook have done, then says he still looks better than the fans despite not being able to get anything done. He then demands answers from Matt Hardy, wanting to know what was in the contract for his match with Hook. Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy show up, and Isiah says Ethan played himself while Matt Hardy calls Ethan "the biggest hole of the ass" he has ever seen in his life. He then mentions that he put something in the match contract where if Hook won, he and Kassidy would be free from The Firm, then says that they get to pick the opponent their next match and the stipulation, with the stipulation that if he and Kassidy win, they will soon be freed from him and Stokely Hathaway. Ethan says there is just him and Stokely in The Firm before Big Bill and Lee Moriarty attack Matt and Kassidy. Suddenly, Hook shows up. Hook fights Big Bill and Lee Moriarty, but Ethan Page joins in on the attack to even the numbers. All of a sudden, Jeff Hardy - who has not been seen in months following his recent legal problems and personal demons - shows up and attacks The Firm with a chair.

We hear from Kenny Omega, who thanks AEW for giving him the time to speak to the fans, thanks the fans for their support, and thanks the doctors for tending to The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) well. He says that The Elite will take care of their problems with The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson) in the ring, and warns them that attacking Don Callis and splitting his skull open made this personal, as Callis is still family despite being a less than likeable man. He says that The Blackpool Combat Club have crossed a line, but instead of being blood for blood, it will be much worse when he sees them again.

The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoil and Jon Moxley) beat a bloodied and battered Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazara (no longer going by the name of MT Nakazawa) by referee stoppage. After the match, Wheeler Yuta beats up Brandon Cutler, then Jon Moxley says that The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson) and Don Callis are still at the hospital with glass bodies and egos while The Blackpool Combat Club are the real elite of All Elite Wrestling. Kenny Omega suddenly shows up, and The Young Bucks managed to get behind Claudio and Yuta before they and Omega beat up Moxley and hit him with the BTE-Trigger. Omega then pulls a gear case out from underneath the ring, and Matt Jackson stops him to produce a screwdriver, which Omega takes. Claudio has to save Moxley and escape with him and Yuta before Omega can stab Moxley with the screwdriver.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews The Mogul Embassy (Prince Nana, "The Machine" Brian Cage, Swerve Strickland). Prince Nana tells Darby Allin that he did everything Swerve Strickland has taught him to do, then Swerve says his number of rivalries in AEW is growing day by day and that he still has some scores to settle.

The Outcasts (Ruby Soho and Toni Storm) beat Riho and Skye Blue. After the match, Saraya joins Toni and Ruby in attacking Riho and Skye Blue, and Riho gets an "L" spray painted on her before the three of them simultaneously powerbomb her. Jamie Hayter runs into the ring, but she is immediately overpowered. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. runs into the ring and takes out Toni and Ruby on the way there before brawling with Saraya. Britt then goes for the curb stomp, but Toni and Ruby pull Saraya out of the ring.

Chris Jericho beats Keith Lee after Daniel Garcia gets in the ring and distracts the referee, allowing a masked Swerve Strickland to hit Keith Lee in the head with a foreign object. After the match, Adam Cole shows up and says something to Keith Lee before fistbumping him, then accompanies him to the back while ignoring Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia.
