Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for April 13, 2023

Mark Briscoe beats Ari Daivari after "Smart" Mark Sterling's distraction of the referee and "The Technical Beast" Josh Woods' and "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese's interference backfires. After the match, Woods and Nese attack Mark Briscoe, then FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) show up and even the numbers game.

We hear from Eddie Kingston, who says he has been dealing with a hernia since September and that he went into his match with Claudio Castagnoli thinking he could bully him around like he did in the past. Eddie says he was wrong and that he did not stick to his gameplan of targeting parts of Claudio's body, then went back to what he knew best, which was fighting. He says that Claudio was the better man and that he put a whupping on him, and that he has to get surgery for his hernia because Claudio beat him so badly. Eddie says he believed it when people said that Claudio was not aggressive, and that he should have known better. He also admits that he considered quitting professional wrestling in his hotel room, but then he realized that either you win or you learn and went back to thinking it was either winning or losing. He says he has learned, and that he must move forward because he has no choice.

Skye Blue beats Kelly Madan.

Darius Martin beats Mike Bennett by disqualification after Matt Taven slides into the ring and attacks Darius Martin. After the match, Bennett and Taven give Darius a beatdown, then Action Andretti runs into the ring, causing them to retreat.

Wheeler Yuta beats "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams by submission.

Backstage, we hear from Action Andretti and Darius Martin. Darius says the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again expecting a different result, and that he will not let himself be attacked by The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Michael Bennett) and he put his plan into action. Andretti says The Kingdom think they can pull a slick one on Darius because Dante Martin is not here, then says he has been in that situation and knows how much it sucks. He says that he had to have Darius' back, and now that Darius has his, he issues a challenge to The Kingdom on next week's show. Darius tells The Kingdom to watch the thrones, because there are some new kings in town.

Katsuyori Shibata and Alex Coughlin beat THe Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry). After the match, Coughlin challenges Shibata for the ROH Pure Championship.

Willow Nightingale beats Little Mean Kathleen.

Stu Grayson beats "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese. After the match, The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) show up and stare down Stu Grayson and Evil Uno from the stage.

Backstage, we hear from The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch). Vincent says The Dark Order are powerful, but have become a shell of their former selves. He says that when Stu Grayson, they carried on with a big smile on their face, yet were willing to take him back. He says that Stu Grayson has it "all trapped in a cage" when it comes to combat, and Vincent bets he has the keys. Dutch says he knows what Stu is thinking, but they don't want to hurt him; they want to keep him.

Athena beats Ashley D'Amboise in a ROH Women's World Championship Proving Grounds Match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Ashley D'Amboise. D'Amboise says she is happy with her efforts, but that she got more of a "ring of anger" more than a "ring of honor." She is then attacked by Athena, who then says that she is the "gatekeeper of this division", that she is given "garbage" week after week and that Lexy will be next if this continues. She then tells Lexy to watch as she rams D'Amboise's face into the ROH Women's World Championship as an example to all the "porcelain broads" in the women's division.

Claudio Castagnoil retains the ROH World Championship against Metalik.
