Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for April 30, 2023

The show starts with UWN representative Jonny Loquasto addressing the fans, who is about to announce the next contender for the United World Championship, and introducing United World Champion Danny Limelight. Limelight wants to know who his next challenger, then Loquasto mentions that Limelight has had a laundry list of competitors that he has put down before announcing he will be defending against "Filthy" Tom Lawlor in two weeks. Lawlor shows up and says he has faced the best and has also had history with Limelight, then says that the two of them are not the same, as while Limelight might have fought some of the best, he has not fought him. He then says that in two weeks, the United World Championship is coming home where it belongs, and Limelight responds by saying he knew he was here for his title, and while Lawlor is one of the best fighters in the world, they are not in New Japan. Limelight then says that he is the face of the United Wrestling Network and that he will put Tom Lawlor out.

Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Halston Boddy, who says that he already has "La Mariposa" Dom Kubrick's attention and is dancing around in his head rent-free. Boddy says that Kubrick fears success and that he cannot make it to the top by himself, and that he needs a small army. Boddy then asks Kubrick to join The Boddy Shop - now known as Prism - and tells him that he is a forgiving mood, then tells him that when he makes that decision, he can either help him or hurt him.

"Poppin'" EJ Sparks beats "La Mariposa" Dom Kubrick.

Backstage, Jonny Loquasto meets with "Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater, who hands him the contract for his rematch clause, and tells him that there is a stipulation in the contract that ensures that his match is a fair fight. Loquasto says he will look into it, then tells him that he will be facing Invictus Khash. Clearwater says Invictus Khash is "washed up" and "old news" while he runs the market and sets the standard.

"Benevolent" Jack Banning retains the United Television Championship against Ju Dizz and Jordan Cruz after Cruz gets on his feet while Banning has him in the guillotine choke and stacks him up on top of Ju Dizz. With both of Ju Dizz's shoulders down and the body-to-body contact between Banning and Ju Dizz, despite it being facilitated by Cruz, causes Banning to retain the championship. After the match, Jordan Cruz attacks Ju Dizz and blames him for the loss.
