Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for May 6, 2022

Before the next match, Charlotte Flair says that she was screwed out of last week's Beat The Clock Challenge and that Aliyah tapped out before time was up, and that the only person who will be humiliated will be "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey when she says "I Quit." She also says that she will not be surprised if Ronda leaves WWE altogether, then says she will make an example of Aliyah by pretending she is Ronda before punching her in the face. Shortly after the match begins, Ronda shows up and pulls Charlotte Flair out of the ring. Both women brawl at ringside, and once the brawl gets in the ring, officials and referees run in to restore order. One of the officials gets kicked in the face, and despite being pulled apart, both women continue to brawl until Charlotte is out of the ring.

"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler beats Sasha Banks with a roll-up after Shayna uses the ropes for leverage and Natalya keeps a hold of Baszler's feet. After the match, Baszler and Natlaya attack Naomi and Sasha from behind. Natalya forces Naomi to watch Shayna stomp Sasha's elbow, but Naomi kicks at Shayna, and she and Sasha take out Natalya.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). Jey says the time for talking is done and that Matt Riddle puts his foot in his mouth, and Jimmy says that they have the anti-venom for Randy Orton. Jey says that they will have some new snakeskin Air Force Ones when all is said and done.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews RK-Bro (Matt Riddle and Randy Orton). Randy Orton says that The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) have been running their mouths for months on end, and that they need to be worried about being in the ring with them instead of the shoes they are wearing.

It's time for Happy Talk. Corbin is suddenly interrupted by Madcap Moss on the TitanTron, who says people would rather hear him tell jokes than hear Corbin talk. After stating that Corbin looks like he is trying out for a Pitbull cover band, is the canvas for tattoo artists' worst ideas and that his chest tattoo looks like Hot Topic threw up, Corbin says Moss isn't brave enough to say all that to this face. Madcap Moss heads to the ring and says Happy Corbin could be entertaining for his next phase, then says that while he could go back to his "Lone Wolf" phase, wolves have hair. Moss then calls Corbin "the big, bald wolf" and starts a chant with it, and Corbin leaves the ring and walks away.

Gunther beats Drew Gulak.

Backstage, Megan Morant interviews Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura talks about how he has not forgotten about how The Usos injured Rick Boogs and cheap shotted him, and says that when the time is right, he will get his hands on Roman Reigns and give him something he will not forget. Meanwhile, Sami Zayn spies on Nakamura.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Drew McIntyre. McIntyre says Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) would rather run their mouths than throw fists, and says that the fans deserve to see Roman's head get kicked straight off of his body.

Sheamus and Ridge Holland beat The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) in a Tables Match after Butch returns from underneath the ring.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman thinks that Kayla is trying to flirt with him. then Sami Zayn shows up and tells Heyman about Shinsuke Nakamura wanting payback on Roman Reigns. He tells Heyman to tell Roman he will deal with Nakamura on his behalf. Heyman tells Sami that Roman respects and appreciates his initiative.

Backstage, Sami Zayn meets with WWE official Adam Pearce about getting a match with Shinsuke Nakamura next week, but Pearce says he can make it happen right now. Sami is hesitant at first, but goes along with it.

We hear from Lacey Evans. Lacey talks about her father's overdose and another family member's suicide attempt, as well as yet another family member's suicide in a parking lot. After feeling broken but going through her first WWE match, she decided she had to do what was best for herself. She says that she tried to help her family, but now it is her time, and that it is up to her to break the cycle. Lacey says she has been through a lot, and asks what the other Superstars will do to her that life has not done to her, for life has made her motivated and successful, and soon, SmackDown Women's Champion. Lacey Evans then comes out to a new theme song.

Sami Zayn beats Shinsuke Nakamura by count-out.

RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Matt Riddle) head to the ring. They are soon followed by Drew McIntyre after the commercial break. McIntyre makes fun of Roman Reigns' intro, then he and Orton acknowledge their history with each other before acknowledging that everything is all in the past and that none of them can stand Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). After McIntyre calls Roman Reigns "the biggest piece of crap on Earth," Paul Heyman, Roman and The Usos show up. Roman and The Usos then get in the ring and have a staredown followed by a brawl with RK-Bro and McIntyre. As The Usos and Roman gang up on McIntyre, RK-Bro take out The Usos, allowing McIntyre to hit Roman with a Claymore Kick. RK-Bro and McIntyre stand tall in the ring to end the show.
