Kenny King beats Chris Bey to qualify for the Ultimate X Match at for the Impact X Division Championship at Slammiversary following the distraction by Maria Kanellis-Bennett.
Backstage, Alisha Edwards tells "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw that their match is next. Gisele tells Alisha that "you can't rush perfection."
The Influence (Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne) retain the Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Championships against Alisha Edwards and "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw.
We hear from Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner). Eric Young says stories are ways to remember and can be beautiful. He says that sometimes, there are periods at the end of the sentence; other times, there are question marks. He then tells The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) that their story will end with Violent By Design taking back the Impact tag titles before stating that he will take his power and control when he becomes #1 contender to the Impact World title and completes the trifecta.
Gail Kim is in the ring. She announces that at Slammiversary, the very first Queen of the Mountain Match will take place and that Tasha Steelz, Chelsea Green, Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo will take part in the match. Before Gail Kim can announce the fifth and final competitor, Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans head to the ring. Tasha says that Gail Kim will do anything to take the Knockouts World Championship away from her after she beat Mickie James twice, then announces that Savannah Evans will be the fifth competitor. Gail Kim says she appreciates the suggestion and that all the competitors are former Knockouts Champions, then announces that the final competitor is Mia Yim. Tasha says Gail is pulling people off the street to take the title from her. After Tasha tells Gail that they can get personal if she wants to get personal, Mia Yim shows up and fights off both Savannah and Tasha. Deonna Purrazzo then shows up and makes it a three-on-one beatdown. Suddenly, Taya Valkyrie and Jordynne Grace show up to even the odds, and they and Mia Yim stand tall in the ring.
Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Rich Swann. Rich Swann says Gauntlet For The Gold is a huge opportunity, and as a former World Champion that never got a rematch, these opportunities do not come often. He says that other people want this and that this will not be easy, but tonight is all about the Impact World Championship and he is willing do whatever it takes to go all night long.
Tomohiro Ishii and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander beat Bullet Club ("Switchblade" Jay White and El Phantasmo).
Backstage, we hear from The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe), who say that they are carrying history with the Impact World Tag titles and that next week, Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner)should be scared of them, because the titles are not going anywhere.
Eric Young last eliminates Chris Sabin to win the Gauntlet For The Gold Match and face "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander for the Impact World Championship at Slammiversary. During the match, Johnny Swinger shows up on a pushcart made to look like a wrestling ring only to be eliminated as soon as he enters, do the Bushwhacker walk and get back on the cart. When Matt Cardona's entrance theme plays, "The Drama King" Matthew Rehwoldt takes his place instead. (He is eliminated along with PCO by Steve Maclin.) Moose is eliminated late in the match when the lights go out only for Sami Callihan to be in the ring when they come back on, and after Sami Callihan hits Moose with his bat, Moose gets eliminated by Chris Sabin.
