Spring Breakin' - NXT 2.0 recap for May 3, 2022

Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) welcome everyone to tonight's show.

Cameron Grimes retains the NXT North American Championship against Solo Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes in a Triple Threat Match.

In footage from earlier today, Mandy Rose gets a tan after making a call to Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin. Wendy Choo sneaks in and messes with Mandy's tanning machine. When Mandy comes out, she is burnt.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Nathan Frazer, who says that while Grayson Waller has a strong social media game, he does not care about social media because this is the most important day of his career and he has waited for this his entire life.

Roderick Strong tells The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) to show him that they are ready, because The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) are their toughest challenge to date. Roderick Strong then says he is the leader of Diamond Mine, and what he says, goes.

Backstage, Indi Hartwell - who is no longer wearing a wedding ring - and Duke Hudson look at each other, then become absolutely disgusted with each other when the two of them barely lean in for a kiss.

Nathan Frazer beats Grayson Waller after Grayson is spooked off the top rope by Andre Chase and his airhorn.

We see a vignette for Fallon Henley, who is into riding horses. Henley is in the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament.

Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Elektra Lopez) meets with Tony D'Angelo. Angelo agrees that he and Santos Escobar are both powerful men who got started on the wrong foot, and tonight, they settle things like business. Escobar says he likes how D'Angelo carries himself, but he does not see any trust in D'Angelo after he chose to play games with him and says playing games brought them to this point. D'Angelo says there is enough business to go around for both of them, and Escobar says that while they want the same thing, they are at different points. Escobar calls a truce, and both men apologize to each other, agreeing that peace is best for each other's business. D'Angelo and Escobar have a toast, then D'Angelo and his men leave.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik). Erik says there is no doubt that The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) are world-class athletes, but they have never been in a battle like they bring. Ivar says that tonight, The Creed Brothers face two grown men. Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) show up and state they cannot wait to see the Raiders beat The Creed Brothers, but Erik warns them not to interrupt them again or else they will make them damage goods, as they are here with one goal in mind and do not mind taking them out.

We hear from Joe Gacy, who says that he is change and that we are on the precipice of a new beginning and that everyone should be afraid of what will happen if he does not win the NXT Championship.

Nikkita Lyons and Cora Jade beat Natalya and Lash Legend after Natalya inadvertently boots Lash Legend in the face.

We see a vignette for Tatum Paxley, who has a background in powerlifting and can easily vizualize her success. She says there are a lot of powerful athletes, but she sees herself with a championship match contract at the end of the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament.

In footage from earlier today, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne have their vacation getaway without Mandy Rose. Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez and Wendy Choo spy on them. Wendy and Rozanne soon steal their shoes and their car keys, then get Gigi and Jacy to chase after them.

The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) beat The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) after Roderick Strong runs in and knees Erik in the face on the outside. When The Creed Brothers find out about Roderick Strong heling the win, they are not happy.

In a parking lot, Santos Escobar speaks with AJ Galante, telling him that Tony D'Angelo is lucky to have someone like him, then knees him in the stomach before Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro abduct him.

We hear from Alba Fyre, who says that next week, she will ignite her fever.

In footage from earlier this week, Brooks Jensen learns he will recover from his arm injury in six to eight weeks (following a masturbation joke).

Bron Breakker retains the NXT Championship against Joe Gacy after ducking the springboard clothesline and hitting the Spear. After the match, two black-robed men in red masks stand behind Breakker.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
