Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for September 1, 2021

Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) beat FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler).

Backstage, we hear from 2point0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) and Daniel Garcia. Matt Lee warns not to look past Daniel Garcia, and Jeff Parker states that the three of them will take Darby Allin vs. CM Punk away from everybody. Daniel Garcia proclaims this will happen when he twists Darby's body and makes it so he does not make it to All Out.

CM Punk heads to the ring. He asks the fans if they are sick of yet, as he can go for weeks hearing "Cult of Personality" and feeling the love, and while there are some people who will get tired of it quickly, he is loving it and he is doing this while it lasts. He knows that at All Out, this could end for him, as he has not wrestled in seven years and has no idea how that night could go. He then promises that, with this potentially ending on Sunday, he will gives the fans his best. Suddenly, 2point0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) and Daniel Garcia gang up on and attack CM Punk, then Darby Allin and Sting show up to even the numbers game. Afterwards, Punk and Darby have a staredown in the middle of the ring. Sting takes the microphone and CM Punk throws Jeff Parker out of the ring, then Sting says he has always wanted to share the ring with Punk, and while he has respect for him and their paths never crossed, it felt good to see everyone's finishers again. He says it felt good to move traffic, as they all have the same goal in mind. Sting then says that he knows Punk and Darby are both ready, and that he will walk back to the dressing room at All Out, when it will be showtime for sure. Darby and Punk have another brief staredown before Darby leaves with Sting.

We see a video package for Christian Cage vs. Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All Out.

In footage from earlier today, Tony Schiavone interviews MJF. MJF calls out Chris Jericho, commending him for staying relevant for four decades and forever etched in the Mount Rushmore of wrestling before stating that he will take Jericho's place when his career comes to an end. He says that Muhammad Ali was once the best boxer in the world, but kept coming back and scrambling his brains, and compares Jericho to Ali before telling him Jericho he is on a downward spiral. MJF then calls Jericho an addict to the spotlight and says that he needs it, even putting his career on his line to get it back, and says that he will take that spotlight away from Jericho when he has the honor of ending one of professional wrestling's greatest runs. He then notes it is ironic that the same spotlight that Jericho yearns for will be the same reason for why Jericho's career dies.

Before the next match begins, Matt Hardy gets ejected after attacking Orange Cassidy in retribution for Orange Cassidy busting his nose open last week.

Orange Cassidy beats Jack Evans with an inside cradle during the commercial break. After the match, Jack Evans complains to the referee, which gives Matt Hardy an opportunity to return and attack Orange Cassidy from behind. As Matt Hardy goes for The Leech on Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor and Wheeler Yuta stop Matt Hardy only to be attacked from behind by The Hardy Family Office, sending them out of the ring before surrounding Orange Cassidy. Jurassic Express rushes into the ring to make the save, chasing The Hardy Family Office away.

Jim Ross interviews Chris Jericho in the ring. Jericho welcomes the fans to "Chicago is Jericho," saying it was only right to harken back to his past as his main event journey started 22 years ago in Chicago, Illinois courtesy of Jim Ross. When Ross asks Jericho why he has put his career on the line, Jericho says he will answer that question before calling MJF "a piece of shit" and saying that the only thing MJF has over him is three victories. He says he cannot let those victories ago and that he has to put everything on the line just to get a victory over MJF, then says he is in AEW because he is never complacent even when there was no guarantee that AEW would be successful. Jericho then says that if he never took a chance in AEW, he would have kicked himself for being complacent, then says he could not live with being beaten by MJF and that he does not want this to be the end, and that he wants more. Jericho says he has to take this chance to get MJF in the ring one more time, and states that if his journey ends, he will go to the commentary desk and do his best full-time after thanking the fans for helping make his dreams come true and being part of each others' lives. He then says MJF will not take this away from him and that he will have to not only be the best he has ever been, but also kill him to do it, then says that MJF does not have the balls to end it before telling MJF he will see him at All Out.

We hear from Darby Allin, who talks about the interesting parallels between his and CM Punk's careers and says that CM Punk has seen what he is capable of doing in the ring after having made him first on his list, then says he has to do the impossible and beat CM Punk in Chicago, Illinois or die trying.

Powerhouse Hobbs beats "The Machine" Brian Cage after Hook distracts referee Rick Knox so that "Absolute" Ricky Starks can hit Cage in the face with the FTW Championship.

We hear from Malakai Black, who says that "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson spins a weird narrative and that he left the ring to dictate the fight. He says he gave Lee seven days to atone for what he did, and says he will make Lee suffer. He then says that after he beats Lee, he will place a coin on each of his eyes so he can pay the ferryman on the trip to the afterlife.

The Factory is in the ring. QT Marshall calls out Paul Wight, and Paul Wight quickly shows up. The Factory gang up on Paul Wight in the corner, but he overpowers all of them as QT Marshall flees the ring. Aaron Solow goes up top, but Paul Wight swats him out of the air. When The Gunn Club (Billy, Austin and Colten Gunn) show up, Paul Wight has made quick work of The Factory, but they stand ready and stop Marshall from getting back in the ring. All of a sudden, Billy Gunn hits Paul Wight in the back with the chair in his hands, much to the surprise of QT Marshall. Billy Gunn has to hit Paul Wight with the chair again to take him down while Austin and Colton watch. The Factory then get back in the ring and hold Paul Wight up so that QT Marshall can hit Wight with the Diamond Cutter.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker, who announces that Jamie Hayter and Rebel will be in the Casino Battle Royal at All Out. She says that if either of them win, the AEW Women's World Championship won't be going anywhere. She also announces that she has signed a new contract with AEW and that she will be keeping the ratings up for a long time. Britt also announces that Tony Khan has allowed her to make a match for Friday on Rampage, and that Rebel and Hayter will be in it.

Suddenly, Anna Jay - who has not been seen in around a year - heads to the ring, and The Bunny and Penelope flee. It is then announced that Anna Jay will be in the Casino Battle Royal at All Out.

The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "The Big LG" Doc Gallows, "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) beat Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) and The Lucha Brothers (Penta el Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix). After the match, Kenny Omega and MT Nakazawa show up, then Omega directs traffic and sics The Elite on both Jurassic Express and The Lucha Brothers, with Luchasaurus taking a Magic Killer through a table. Omega, who now has black hear, gangs up on Jungle Boy, then Christian Cage runs into the ring and fights The Elite only for the numbers game to take over. Omega thanks Tony Khan for the meeting earlier today, then tells him to be careful where he leaves personal items before telling Don Callis to lower the steel cage. As the steel cage comes down, Omega tells Christian he is just getting started as The Elite attacks everyone with Kendo sticks. Members of the AEW locker room show up and climb the cage, but The Elite keeps everyone from climbing to the top. The Lucha Brothers are handcuffed to the ropes as The Elite continue their attack and Kenny Omega continues to direct traffic, and Christian eats a BTE-Trigger from Matt and Nick Jackson.
