They're On A Rampage - Rampage recap for September 3, 2021

Malakai Black beats "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson after offering a beaten-up Lee Johnson a chair and turns his back for a free shot only to hit Johnson with Black Mass. After the match, "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes runs to the ring and checks on Lee Johnson, and Malakai Black leaves.

Backstage, Mark Henry interviews "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes, who says that since Malakai Black has arrived, he has been about the element of surprise. He says that he will come straight for Malakai on Dynamite, and while Black comes from a place of darkness, he thrives in darkness. He says there is nothing Black can do to him that he has not already been through, and that Black will find out what he is all about.

Miro heads to the ring. He says that Eddie Kingston calls himself "a mad king," but he recognizes another king. He says that Eddie talks of living through struggle, but took an easy way out, and despite his talent, he took a charity contract into AEW. Miro says he and his god are not in the charity business, and that one goes soft in a life without struggle. He says that Kingston has become "a bad boy for Jon Moxley," and Kingston soon shows up. He calls "bullshit" on Miro being "God's favorite champion" and that his god is not real to him before telling Miro that if his god existed, he would have been sent by his god to punish him for his sins, and that the DDT is Miro's weakness. Miro tells Kingston that if he gets in the ring tonight, he will not make it to All Out, for he will be redeemed tonight. Kingston responds with "Redeem deez nuts," and runs into the ring. Miro leaves the ring, and when Kingston goes after him again, Miro hits him with the TNT Championship and tries to stomp on him before Kingston avoids the stomp and hits the DDT.

Kris Statlander beats Rebel and Jamie Hayter in a two-on-one handicap match after making Rebel submit. After the match, Rebel, Hayter and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. surround the ring, but Red Velvet runs into the ring, forcing them to retreat.

We see footage of Jon Moxley and Satoshi Kojima brawling during their contract signing.

Backstage, Mark Henry interviews Daniel Garcia, 2point0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee), Darby Allin and Sting. Jeff Parker is irritated that Darby Allin vs. CM Punk is the most anticipated match of the year, and Matt Lee says that match won't happen if Darby Allin's back is broken tonight. Daniel Garcia says he will break Darby Allin tonight because he can. Darby Allin says he is not overlooking Garcia and that he will knock him on his ass before getting face-to-face with CM Punk one last time.

CM Punk guests on commentary for the next match.

Darby Allin beats Daniel Garcia. After the match, 2point0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) attack Darby Allin, and Sting quickly gets in the ring. CM Punk leaves the commentary table, and 2point0 back off when they see him. The show ends with a staredown between CM Punk and Darby Allin.
