Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 2, 2020

Randy Orton shows up to start tonight's show. Orton says he became WWE Champion and a fourteen-time world champion eight days ago, and proved he is the best of the best, but "best of the best" does him no justice; Orton says he is "the best, period." Orton says that he has proved he is better than everyone else in the back and that he is the position he is in because he is the best, and because he showed the entire world he is no longer the "Legend Killer" and is now simply a legend. He says that the WWE Championship puts a target on that back, but he welcomes that target and dares anybody in the back to take the title from him. Suddenly, Alexa Bliss shows up. Alexa Bliss gets in the ring, and Orton demands the location of "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. Alexa Bliss tells him "He...could...be...here..." before the arena lights briefly go red. Suddenly, Orton is hit with a Claymore Kick form out of nowhere by Drew McIntyre, who demands his rematch for the WWE Championship and promises to make Orton's life a living hell. As McIntyre leaves, The Miz and John Morrison show up, call for a referee, and try to cash in the Money In The Bank contract, but Drew McIntyre gets back in the ring and tosses Miz and Morrison out before the bell can be rung, and tells them that nobody is taking the WWE Championship but him.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews The Miz and John Morrison. Miz says he was so close to becoming WWE Champion tonight, and calls Drew McIntyre a petulant child who will not let anybody get their way. He tells Drew McIntyre to get over losing the WWE Championship, as it is time for someone else to step in and become the star. Morrison says McIntyre made a mistake angering them, and challenges McIntyre to a two-on-one handicap match.

Before the next match, Elias says there is a time where every man must admit the truth to himself and that Jeff Hardy has done just that. As for tonight's Guitar on a Pole Match, he can make art by winning and smashing it against Jeff's back, saying it could be his greatest hit ever. As Elias performs "Amen (I'm Going In)," Jeff Hardy interrupts him.

Lana shows up to get a closer look at the next match.

Nia Jax and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke after the distraction from Lana backfires, distracting the referee and costing Dana Brooke the win.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Randy Orton, who says he finds it amusing that so many people forget how easy it is for the hunter to become the hunted, and that McIntyre will get a reminder sooner rather than later.

Before the next match, Sarah Schreiber interviews R-Truth, who finds out that he is facing Bobby Lashley right now, and asks who will sign his water bottle after expecting to meet Bobby Boucher (a reference to The Waterboy).

Bobby Lashley beats R-Truth with the Hurt Lock after R-Truth fakes laying down for Lashley. After the match, Lashley puts R-Truth in the Hurt Lock again, then Drew Gulak shows up to pin R-Truth only to be laid out by Lashley and put in the Hurt Lock. He then puts Drew Gulak on top of R-Truth, costing R-Truth the 24/7 Championship. Drew Gulak is now the WWE 24/7 Champion.

Backstage, Lince Dorado and Kalisto go for Drew Gulak and the WWE 24/7 Championship, but run into Jordan Omogbehin and move in the other direction.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Nia Jax, who does not want to be reminded of Lana after Lana's attempted interference. Nia Jax then says that she will end Lana's career after Lana keeps saying that he is a fighter who will keep getting back up.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and his associate Jordan Omogbehin show up. Styles says that SmackDown is not playing around at Survivor Series and that their three potential men's team members will be as talented as the two they already have, then says Raw has the advantage as they have someone who has what it takes to be a leader. Styles then says that person is him, and proclaims himself team captain of the Raw men's Survivor Series team, as he has the intangibles that make him a leader. He then introduces Keith Lee and Sheamus, both of whom show up. Styles says he called them both to the ring as they are the best of the best like he is, and Keith Lee says that Styles is not team captain and that he is not scared of Styles' associate. Sheamus says that he agrees with Styles after Styles tells him to tell Keith Lee how it is, then says he will never take orders from Styles. Braun Strowman soon shows up and says the only thing the team needs is him, as the monster is on Raw's team. Keith Lee reminds Strowman he still has to win his qualifying match, but Strowman says he is more than qualified to be part of the team and that he has beaten Keith Lee, and that his qualifications should make him team champion. Adam Pearce shows up and says he would like to find Strowman a qualifier opponent, but cannot find one. As Keith Lee calls out Strowman for claiming to beat him clean, Sheamus interrupts and says he will be the one to kick Braun's teeth down his throat. Styles comes up with the idea of a Triple Threat Match between Strowman, Keith Lee and Sheamus, with Strowman joining the team if he wins. Adam Pearce makes the match official.

MVP tells The New Day not to dance with The Hurt Business, and that Cedric and Shelton will two-step all over them. The New Day then compare The hurt Business to a failed 2020 start-up.
