Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 25, 2020

The shows starts with the announcement of a WarGames Match between The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) and Pat McAfee's team (Pat McAfee, Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch, Pete Dunne).

Kevin Owens guests on commentary for tonight's show.

Candice LeRae beats Ember Moon. During the match, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez show up to get a closer look at the match. Later on, Dakota and Raquel distract the referee, allowing Indi Hartwell to take the Eclipse for Candice, who hits Ember Moon with Wicked Stepsister for the win. After the match, Dakota and Raquel attack Ember Moon, and after Ember rolls out of the ring, Toni Storm arrives and helps Ember up before the two of them agree to fight Dakota and Raquel. They do, but Toni Storm attacks Ember and throws her back into the ring. Candice, Dakota and Raquel then lay Ember Moon while Toni Storm watches and mocks Ember Moon.

The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) is seen entering the arena.

Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza) talk about how 2020 has been their year after having defeated all their enemies and defended the NXT Cruiserweight Championship at TakeOver for the first time in history. Santos Escobar sees Curt Stallion as just another minor obstacle, then says that when Legado del Fantasma says they will do something, they get it done.

The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) show up. After a video clip where Pat McAfee says that he will get one extra person to represent his team at WarGames, Adam Cole says that The Undisputed Era is not dead, and that everyone who has tried to take them out has failed. Adam Cole says that the only thing he will enjoy more than kicking McAfee in the jaw is their WarGames Match, where McAfee will be trapped in the cage with him. Cole then tells the rest of The Undisputed Era they have to focus on tonight, for tonight is a WarGames Advantage Match against Pete Dunne. Kyle O'Reilly says he needs to fight Pete Dunne tonight, and the rest of the team allows it. Cole then tells Pete Dunne that he will be facing a different, angry Kyle O'Reilly, then says he will fight a different Undisputed Era at WarGames, for they plan to drag Pat McAfee and company through absolute hell. He says that The Undisputed Era will prove who they really are and make sure that Pat McAfee's team is never the same.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Candice LeRae, who announces that Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez and Toni Storm are part of her WarGames team. Toni Storm says she is the new Toni Storm she warned about.

Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae advertise Black Friday deals on WWEShop.com.

KUSHIDA beats Timothy Thatcher with the Hoverboard Lock. At the beginning of the match, Tommaso Ciampa shows up with a steel chair, then sits down in the chair and watches the match from the bottom of the ramp. Near the end of the match, Thatcher is distracted by Tommaso Ciampa, who stands up before KUSHIDA makes Thatcher submit to the Hoverboard Lock for the win.

We see a video package chronicling the happenings between Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Pete Dunne. He says that The Undisputed Era were broken once, and tonight, he will break their spirit.

It's time for The Kevin Owens Show. Tonight's guest is Leon Ruff. Leon Ruff says he always wanted to be a WWE Superstar, and that he signed his contract seven weeks ago. All of a sudden, he became NXT North American Champion, and he calls the title a "yes" for every "no" he has gotten. After Owens tells Ruff that he should be proud to be champion, Ruff says he wants to be an inspiration and proof that anything is possible. Owens tells Ruff to let the people in the back, and Ruff becomes more enthusiastic. After Ruff says that he beat Johnny Gargano not once, but twice, Owens warns Ruff that Gargano might show up. Gargano predictably shows up, and when Owens hands him a chair, Gargano tosses it out of the ring. Owens gets another chair for someone else who might showed up as Gargano tells Leon Ruff that he only won because of Damian Priest. Sure enough, Damian Priest shows up. Damian tells Gargano that there will come a day where he will come to terms with the reality that Leon Ruff is better than him. Gargano says he will become champion and prove Ruff is a joke when he beats him one-on-one for the title. Before they can go at it, Damian Priest steps in and reminds Ruff that he promised to defend the title against him and Gargano. After Owens wishes somebody like Teddy Longcould make a Triple Threat Match, General Manager William Regal shows up. Regal makes the match official in two weeks' time at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, then says "Playa" before leaving.

We hear from Finn Balor, who says that he laid the groundwork for war last week, and warns the winners of the war not to put checkers on his chessboard, and that if they have a problem, he is not hard to find, as the champion works Wednesdays.

We hear from Shotzi Blackheart, who rebuilds her tank as she gets into the spirit of war, saying that the best part of war is crushing one's enemies, seeing them driven before you, and hearing the lamentation of the crowd.

Cameron Grimes beats Jake Atlas. After the match, Grimes finds out that Dexter Lumis is nearby and runs away. Lumis then points at the crowd and shows a video where he makes fun of Grimes running away from him, complete with a drawing of Grimes. He then produces a leather strap and throws one end of it to Grimes, whois not interested in a strap match.

Backstage, General Manager William Regal meets with Cameron Grimes, who tells him he will face Dexter Lumis in a strap match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, much to Grimes' chagrin. When Grimes asks Regal why he hates him so much, Regal tells him it is probably his personality.

Rhea Ripley is in the ring. She calls Io Shirai one of the toughest women she has ever stepped in the ring with, and after last week, there has been speculation about her future. She says that her hug with Io Shirai last week was nothing but respect, and that she is here to stay in NXT and that she wants the NXT Women's Championship. Toni Storm and Candice LeRae show up, and Candice says that Io Shirai beat her twice with help, but Io Shirai beat Rhea Ripley on her own, then says Rhea Ripley talks but cannot back it up while she can. As she says this, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez show up with a laid out Io Shirai, and Candice, Dakota and Toni go after Ripley. Raquel joins in, and Rhea is quickly outnumbered and beaten up.

Xia Li and Boa are taken to a warehouse. Boa and Xia Li's hands are marked by their master as they beg for a second chance, and a mysterious figure tells them it is time.

Before the next match, Ever-Rise (Chase Parker and Matt Martel) are attacked by Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake). Gibson says he and Drake are back in NXT as Gibson lays out Ever-Rise, and Chase Parker ends up the victim of a Ticket To Mayhem.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Candice LeRae, who says that anybody stupid enough to join Shotzi Blackheart's team will be destroyed, and that the icing on the cake will be when Raquel Gonzalez beats Shotzi in a Ladder Match for the advantage at WarGames in a Ladder Match next week. Johnny Gargano says he will get the North American title back, then he, Candice and Indi Hartwell get in their car. Another black-clad, masked figure is seen sitting in the back seat.

Pete Dunne beats Kyle O'Reilly in a WarGames Advantage Ladder Match after someone in a black hoodie and a gold mask shoves the ladder in the center of the ring down with Kyle O'Reilly on it, allowing Dunne to grab the briefcase and win the match to give Pat McAfee's time a one-man advantage in their WarGames Match.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
