Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for November 13, 2020

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman show up to start tonight's show. Roman states that the numbers do not lie and that he has made SmackDown "the isle of relevancy" according to Paul Heyman, as Jey Uso has gone from being unable to be told apart from his brother Jimmy to leading SmackDown to victory at Survivor Series. Roman says that he will also maintain his dominance at Survivor Series and beat Raw's "secondary champion" in Randy Orton, then says that one can respect a man's accomplishments but not respect the man himself. Suddenly, Drew McIntyre - from Raw - shows up. Drew says it has been a while and asks Heyman if he misses him, then tells Roman that he will be facing him, not Orton, at Survivor Series after he beats Orton for the WWE Championship next week on Raw. He says that a lot has changed since he eliminated Roman from the Royal Rumble earlier this year and made Brock Lesnar his bitch at WrestleMania after Roman Reigns disappeared and left the fans high and dry and leaving him to step up. He says he sees being top guy as an honor and privelege, but that Roman sees it as a right, then says he is the man now and that he will prove it at Survivor Series. Roman says he likes Drew and that everything he said is the truth, but he is back and nobody knows who Drew is, saying nobody watches Raw because they are all watching SmackDown and watching him. Roman then asks Drew to tell everyone who Drew McIntyre is, and Drew says he is the guy who will beat Randy Orton on Monday for the WWE Championship, head into Survivor Series as champion and show Roman who the "secondary champion" really is. Suddenly, Jey Uso shows up and asks Drew what he is doing on SmackDown, then says that Drew is being disrespectful and he will get him like he did Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan. Jey then challenges him to a one-on-one match, and Drew accepts by shoving Jey away and getting in Roman's face. Roman, Jey and Heyman leave.

Backstage, Roman Reigns chews out Jey Uso, saying he is the one who calls out the shots and that nobody told him to make a match for himself. Jey says he will handle Drew McIntyre. Roman says "You'd better."

Before the next match, Sami Zayn says he has had only one hour's notice that he is to defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews, and says that this "reeks of sabotage" from WWE management against "the champion of the people." Sami then says he is used to this kind of treatment and that he will use this opportunity to prove there is a different between him and Lashley as champions. As he talks about what he had to go through to be champion again, Apollo Crews' entrance interrupts him.

Sami Zayn retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews after ripping off a ring apron, tying him to the strings in the ring truss and getting back in the ring to win by count-out.

Backstage, Adam Pearce tells Drew McIntyre that he cannot sanction a match between him and Jey Uso, but Drew quickly agrees to a match anyway.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews the Mysterio family. Rey Mysterio says things changed when Seth Rollins targeted his family and tried to destroy them not knowing how strong his family's bonds are, and that tonight is the final chapter. He says that everything that has happened between him and Rollins will culminate in one final match, and while Rollins considers himself a messiah, he thinks of him as the devil and he will send him back to the soul-crushing hell where he belongs.

Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso is made official for later tonight.

Sasha Banks shows up. Sasha says she proved the haters wrong after retaining the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship, and says that the last six months have not ended her as she is on top of her game and the women's division. After putting the SmackDown women's division on notice, Sasha addresses Carmella, but Bayley shows up, and this proves a distraction when Sasha is superkicked from behind by Carmella, who then hits Sasha with a facebuster.

Backstage, Otis is mocked by Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for eating alone with three plates of food, losing his friend Tucker and losing the Money In The Bank briefcase to The Miz. Otis gets angry and flips the table, scaring them away.

Tribute to the Troops airs on December 6th on Fox!

Otis beats Dolph Ziggler after spotting Robert Roode trying to interfere in the match.

Backstage, Otis is met by Chad Gable, who tells him that he should be dominating every single week like he did tonight, and that all he needs is a discipline and a mentor who can unlock his inner alpha. He then gives him a flyer for Alpha Academy. Otis is hyped up.

We see a video package chronicling the feud between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio.

Rey Mysterio beats Seth Rollins in a no-holds-barred match to end the feud between them after Murphy turns on Rollins by helping him up and handing him a steel chair only to knee the chair into Rollins' face. Rey pays tribute to Eddie Guerrero, who passed away on this day 15 years ago, before hitting the top rope splash for the win. After the match, Rey tells Murphy to step into the ring and face him like a man, then gives Murphy his approval and allows him to shake his hand. Aalyah then hugs Murphy, who also shakes hands with Dominik.

Backstage, Adam Pearce puts Natalya in another Triple Threat Match to qualify for the SmackDown women's Survivor Series match, but Natalya just wants to be put on the team. Pearce then says the match is next, much to Natalya's chagrin. After Natalya leaves, Chelsea Green shows up.

Backstage, Seth Rollins demands from Adam Pearce an opportunity to destroy Murphy, who he says he made.

Chelsea Green is suddenly announced as a competitor before the next match, turning the next match from a Triple Threat Match into a Fatal 4-Way Match.

Liv Morgan beats Tamina, Natalya and Chelsea Green in a Fatal 4-Way Match to qualify for the SmackDown women's Survivor Series.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Drew McIntyre. McIntyre says he is happy for Jey Uso after beating multiple former world champions, and while he was here to send a message to send a message to Roman Reigns, he will send a message to Randy Orton, asking how embarrassing it would be to be beaten in his own back yard.

Backstage, Big E makes bets until The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up with three serving trays, but everything is shaped like an L. Montez Ford says The Street Profits they will serve The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) L's if they can retain the Raw Tag Team Championships next week against The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander). Big E tells The Street Profits that they will be nothing more than than "New Day Lite," and that New Day will come out on top. Everyone has a laugh, but Big E has the last one.

Next week: Murphy vs. Seth Rollins!

Drew McIntyre beats Jey Uso with a Claymore Kick when Jey Uso tries to decimate McIntyre after Roman Reigns shows up and later stops Jey to tell him "Make him understand." After the match, McIntyre confronts Roman Reigns and asks "Do you understand me now?" Roman then tells Drew to get the WWE Championship and see him next Sunday.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
