Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for December 11, 2019

Jon Moxley beats Alex Reynolds in seconds to start tonight's show. After the match, Jon Moxley throws Reynolds out of the ring, then hits John Silver with a DDT when Silva confronts him in the ring. The Inner Circle shows up and surrounds the ring, then Jericho gets in the ring. He tells the crowd to watch their language when they chant "Fuck him up, Moxley, fuck him up," then tells Moxley to be cool, as The Inner Circle would have already ambushed him if they wanted to and it is just between them. He tells Moxley that The Inner Circle that they are impressed with him and that they are top guy as far as Jericho is concerned, which is not surprising, concerning that they have history together and he asked him for help in his career ten years ago only for the two of them to become adversaries. Jericho tells Moxley that he taught him to become a main eventer and a champion, and when and when Moxley needed to reignite his career, Moxley called him and he navigated Moxley to AEW. He says that Double or Nothing proved that Moxley still had a chip on his shoulder and that Moxley is a winner, then says that Moxley is only beginning to harness the power he has and that he will need him again. Jericho askes Moxley to imagine what it would be like if he joined forces with The Inner Circle, then personally asks him to join. Jericho produces an Inner Circle shirt, then tells Moxley that this will not be an answer he cannot give in one night and to talk it over with his family, enjoy his holidays and then give him an answer then, as the two of them taking control of AEW would be "a true paradigm shift." Jericho tells Moxley to think hard, choose wisely and that The Inner Circle will be waiting for his answer before giving him the shirt. The Inner Circle then head to the back, but not before telling Moxley not to listen to the crowd.

We see a short video package starring Excalibur for the Texas Street Fight between Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) later tonight.

The Butcher and The Blade beat "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall. After the match, Darby Allin shows up and extends his hand to Cody to help him up, then leaves after helping Cody up.

MJF and Wardlow show up. He asks a member of the camera crew to get in the ring, then confronts him for laughing about "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes talking about his attempt at the Cross Rhodes, then says all will be forgiven if he kisses the Dynamite diamond ring. The man kisses the ring, but MJF puts him in the Cross Rhodes, anyway. He then says that Cody is one of the greatest wrestlers of his generations and untouchable with a microphone in his hands, then tells him not to throw rocks at a man with a machine gun and that when his mouth opens, "these bullets don't miss." He then admits he enjoyed Cody's proposal to a match, then says he wants nothing from him as he has enough money to last him a lifetime. MJF then says he wants Cody to suffer, and brings up Cody calling him "a knock-off Chris Jericho," saying it must have taken all night to come up with that line due to his scarf, which some people think is fake. MJF calls it apropos that Cody used the word "fake," because he thinks of Cody when he thinks about the word "fake," and that Cody's "shitty little lisp" is the only thing real about Cody. MJF then dares Cody to fire him, then says Cody won't do it because Cody wants to get his hands on him more than anything else and he would be letting the fans down as they want to see them go at it. After getting the fans fired up for a potential match between them, MJF tells Cody he's on, but he has a couple of stipulations that he won't reveal until next week. MJF then tells Cody that he knows he is backstage, and that he is in control now, not Cody.

We see another vignette for The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson). In this one, Alex Reynolds is in his hotel room when the person in the advertisement speaks directly to him, telling him to join The Dark Order. John Silver then shows up, thinking Reynolds is hallucinating.

Big Swole beats Emi Sakura in her Dynamite debut. Hikaru Shida is seen watching this match in the front row.

Backstage, Jenn Decker interviews PAC, who says he came to AEW for one reason: opportunity. However, when he stepped foot into the door, he has gotten nothing but injustice and has received a pittance for all of his outstanding performance. He demands his rubber match from AEW and Kenny Omega, or he will not be held accountable for what he does next.

"Hangman" Adam Page and Kenny Omega beat "Superbad" Kip Sabian and Shawn Spears. During the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Tully Blanchard is on the stage, gagged and tied up in a chair with "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela. Spears runs to the stage and brawls with Janela before freeing Tully, and Janela and Spears take their brawl tot he back, leaving Sabian on his own.

We hear from Brandi Rhodes, who says AEW looks like a kids' gymnastic meet without her. She then says Riho has not been around for weeks, and calls Dr. Britt Baker "a pathetic groupie" who keeps talking about her boyfriend. She says that she will wants Kris Statlander, then brings out the woman from last week. She says that the family is almost complete, and that The Nightmare Collective is waiting for their alien to come home. A bald headed man nearby is about to look back, but Brandi tells him not to look at the camera yet.

Chris Jericho and Jake Hager guest on commentary for the next match, kicking Excalibur and Tony Schiavone off the announce table in the process.

Luchasaurus beats Sammy Guevara. After the match, Chris Jericho and Jake Hager attack Luchasaurus, but Jungle Boy jumps in and gets the upper hand on Jericho, with Marko Stunt counting the "pinfall."

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) to become #1 contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championships next week. Brandon Cutler shows up to make the save, but he is put through a wooden panel near the stage by Proud 'n Powerful. During the match, SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) are seen watching the match from the front row. Later on in the match, Jake Hager gets involved by dragging referee Ric Knox out of the ring, and Ric Knox is inadvertently kicked into the head afterwards.
