Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for December 10, 2019

Rob Van Dam beats Rhino in an Old School Rules Match with Tommy Dreamer as the special guest referee after Katie Forbes drags Dreamer out of the ring and clotheslines him. After the match, RVD superkicks Dreamer.

We hear from oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Madman Fulton). Sami Callihan says that oVe equals numbers and ratings, and tells the fans to get #IMPACTonAXSTV trending. He then says Jake and Dave Crist will win the Tag Team Open and the tag team titles, and tells Tessa Blanchard that she will face Madman Fulton tonight to ensure she does not make it to Hard To Kill. He then calls his match with Ken Shamrock "a dream match," and while he respects Shamrock, he is not the Shamrock of old and he will either knock him out or break his ankle as Shamrock won't be able to show him up.

ODB is officially added to the Knockouts Championship Match between Jordynne Grace and Taya Valkyrie at Hard To Kill.

Moose beats Acey Romero.

Backstage, Father James Mitchell tells Suzy that he is the only one she can trust when Suzy touches a noose that reminds her of her last match as Su Yung.

Backstage, "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin says he has beaten "The Machine" Brian Cage and pinned Eddie Edwards, but he is still waiting while breaking the roadblocks Impact has put in front of him. At Hard To Kill, he wants Eddie Edwards to put his Call Your Shot trophy on the line. Elgin says he is the only person deserving of the Impact World Championship, and says that at Hard To Kill, he will prove Eddie is not that hard to kill.

Fallah Bahh beats Raj Singh after Gama Singh and Rohit Raju's interference attempt backfires. After the match, Rohit Raju attacks Fallah Bahh along with Raj Singh, but TJP returns for the first time in weeks and fights them both off.

Backstage, Joey Ryan is summoned to wrestler's court, where Tommy Dreamer is the judge.

Joey Ryan finds out that he has been accused of "breaking the code of the boys" by Johnny Swinger. Joey thinks this is one weird joke, then the court is moved out of the bathroom. D'Lo Brown says everyone should be lucky that wrestler's court can still exist so close to 2020, then Madison Rayne says there has been an erosion of morale in the company since Joey Ryan left. "Brutal" Bob Evans, Kiera Hogan and Gama Singh also testify. Gama Singh is escorted out after a collar-and-elbow tie-up with Joey Ryan, and some other guy is also escorted out for no reason. Joey Ryan says old guys blaming him for everything wrong is nothing new to him, and says wrestling should be fun and more open-minded. Joey Ryan is found guilty of high crimes against the business, then Acey Romero shows up as Joey Ryan is sentenced to face Acey next week. KM also makes an appearance out of nowhere. Joey Ryan says he can't believe he signed with the company. (Author's note: What the fuck is this.)

Rich Swann and Willie Mack beats oVe (Jake and Dave Crist), Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) and The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) to win the Tag Team Open and face The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) for the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships. During the match, Willie Mack injures his knee and cannot continue in the match, leaving Swann on his own. After the match, "All Ego" Ethan Page is seen telling "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander "We will do this my way...trust me."

Backstage, Taya Valkyrie says everyone is trying to get at her, then says Jordynne Grace is not a smart woman for getting involved in her match last week while mocking ODB. She says she is the one with the power and that she will prove it at Hard To Kill.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Gail Kim vs. Brooke vs. ODB from Bound For Glory 2013.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews "The Machine" Brian Cage. Cage says that his World title reign was not what he expected and that it fell apart after he beat Sami Callihan, then says that he will be waiting for whoever comes out World Champion after Hard To Kill. He also says he has no problem going through the roster and working his way back to the World title, especially when there are people in the roster he wants to face. Suddenly, Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes make out on the couch, but leave after they are confronted about it. Rob Van Dam then makes fun of Cage for "losing to a girl" after accusing him of stealing his moves.

Tessa Blanchard beats Madman Fulton by disqualification after Jake and Dave Crist show up and push Tessa Blanchard off the top turnbuckle. As oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Fulton) attack Tessa Blanchard after the match, Ken Shamrock shows up and immediately drops the Crist brothers before making quick work of Fulton. Sami Callihan runs in to stop Fulton so he can face Shamrock himself.

Sami Callihan beats Ken Shamrock by referee stoppage with the ankle lock. During the match, referee Brandon Tolle is inadvertently wiped out by Ken Shamrock, and Madman Fulton shows up to lay Shamrock out as the referee is down. Sami goes for the ankle lock as Fulton revives the referee. When Shamrock gets back to his feet, Callihan and Fulton attack Shamrock, and Fulton almost turns on Callihan before Callihan gives him free reign on Shamrock, whom Fulton launches over the top rope. Callihan has to stop Fulton before Fulton can do even more damage.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!
