Well, this is odd.At #WWEPittsburgh, @MikeRomeWWE became the 24/7 Champion, but not long enough to announce it... pic.twitter.com/4AiwC9Dk49— WWE (@WWE) December 28, 2019
Tonight in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as part of a WWE live event, Samir Singh pinned R-Truth in a 2-on-1 handicap match - in which Samir teamed with his brother, Sunil Singh - to win the WWE 24/7 Championship for the third time. Before the title change was announced, however, the ring announcer pulled a fast one and got the belt!
That's right, Mike Rome is now one of the few non-wrestlers employed by WWE to win the 24/7 Championship. Of course, this didn't last, as Sunil Singh soon pinned him to win the title for the third time, giving Sunil and Samir Singh six reigns with the 24/7 title between them.
Of course, this didn't last, as R-Truth would pin Sunil to win the 24/7 Championship for the 27th time.
