Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for December 6, 2019

Tonight's show opens with Miz TV. The Miz says Daniel Bryan was supposed to be his guest, but after what happened last week, that is not going to be the case, as Daniel Bryan has disappeared. He admits that he has known Daniel Bryan since he first stepped foot in WWE, and while they have not seen eye-to-eye and may never be friends, he knows he means a lot of the fans, and that everyone saw the real Daniel Bryan and the re-emergence of the Yes! Movement. However, "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt ruined everything, and seems to have put an end to that. While he does not like Daniel Bryan, he does care, and he will get to the bottom of what happened to Daniel Bryan. Suddenly, Bray Wyatt shows up on the TitanTron and tells Miz he does not want to know what happened, and that even he himself does not want to know, as Daniel may be with "The Fiend," who may not be done with Daniel just yet. Bray says Daniel was going to play with him at TLC, but now he is not so sure that will happen anymore, and invites Miz to play with him instead. Miz says he is not in the mood to play his games and that Daniel is like family to the fans, then Ramblin' Rabbit shows up and tells Miz to run. Miz says he is not in the mood to play his games and that Daniel is like family to the fans, then Ramblin' Rabbit shows up and tells Miz to run. Bray pushes him down, then says he used to have a family before stating he has an opportunity to join a new family: Miz's. After producing a portrait of Miz, Maryse and their two daughters, Bray asks Miz if he wants to play now before Miz storms off to the back.

Backstage, The Miz calls Maryse. He tells her that is everything is fine and to take safety precautions, as he has no choice but to deal with this and return home.

Alexa Bliss beats Mandy Rose.

At catering, Drake Maverick meets with Dana Brooke over Brooke's dinner date with Batista. Dana says she's excited, but Maverick says he feels a bit rejected and asks what Batista has that he doesn't. Suddenly, Elias shows up and compares Batista to Maverick through song, saying that Batista is a tall millionaire, that Maverick has only been getting action with lotion and tissues and that Maverick's wife slept with him. Maverick smacks Elias in the face and walks away, and when Brooke asks for confirmation as to whether this happened, Elias says no, and that something will eventually happen.

Drake Maverick is now in the ring. He is not happy that everyone finds his life a joke and that everybody - including Elias - finds this funny, then says nobody makes a mockery out of him, his marriage or his wife before calling Elias out for a fight. Elias shows up with Dana Brooke, then gets in the ring with Drake Maverick, who is easily overpowered - and embarrassed - by Elias, who proceeds to spank him. After Elias punts Maverick out of the ring, Dana tosses Maverick back into the ring so that Elias can hit Maverick with Drift Away. Dana then "pins" Maverick with her foot, and Elias makes the "count."

Backstage, The Miz finds out that his dressing room has been ransacked and that a portrait of his family has him replaced with "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. Suddenly, Miz hears someone say "Say Cheese!", and when he turns around, he is attacked by Bray. Bray then lays the doctored portrait on top of a downed Miz.

Backstage, a referee checks on The Miz. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and the doctored photo are nowhere to be seen.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) guest on commentary for the next match. It is announced that their "Feel The Power" podcast has debuted at #1.

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) beats The Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado), Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis) and the team of Mustafa Ali and Shorty G to face The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships at TLC. After the match, Dawson tells The New Day that the fun and games are over and that The New Day will no longer disgrace the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Wilder says it is "The New Day" no more and that it is back to the old days and the fundamentals that brought them to the dance when they do what they do best, then Dawson says that The New Day will go back to their podcast and complain about how they beat them at TLC.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Roman Reigns. Roman says he goes about his business the same way every night, and if Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler can't handle it, that's on them. He also cannot understand why Baron Corbin needs help, as he is bigger and stronger than him, and at TLC, he will embarrass him.

We hear from Sheamus, who says that the current days of SmackDown are a pale shadow of their former selves, and that he has come back home to ravage anyone and anything in his way.

Lacey Evans beats Haley Jones. After the match, Sasha Banks shows up and tells Lacey Evans to stay in the ring, as they have business to take care of.

After the commercial break, Sasha Banks tells Lacey Evans that she is the leader of the women's division while Lacey is a "Mary Poppins wanna-be," and to never mess with her or Bayley again. Sasha then calls Lacey a bad role model to her six-year-old model, and Lacey tells her not to mention her daughter ever again, and that she is a former U.S. Marine and that Sasha does not want to see her put the boots back on. She addresses Sasha and Bayley making fun of her, then says the Marines made her a leader and a fighter. Sasha gets in the ring, but falls to the mat when Lacey readies the Woman's Right. As Lacey heads to the back, she is blindsided by Bayley.

The Miz vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt is official for TLC. Also, Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin in a TLC Match is also official for TLC.

Shane McMahon guest stars on NCIS: Los Angeles this Sunday!

We hear from WWE Superstars about their trip to Camp LeJeune for Tribute To The Troops.

Roman Reigns beats Dolph Ziggler. During the match, King Corbin shows up to get a closer look at the match. When he argues with the referee, Roman Superman Punches him off the apron before kicking out of a schoolkid pin and hitting the Spear on Ziggler for the win. After the match, Roman hits Corbin with a drive-by. Corbin's servants attack Roman, but Roman fends them all off until Corbin attacks him and sends him into the post. Corbin and his servants continue to fight Roman, and after a superkick from Ziggler, Roman is soon handcuffed to the ring post and unable to defend himself as Corbin and Ziggler continue to gang up on him. Ziggler and Corbin then pour dog food on Roman Reigns and rub it all over his head in an act of humiliation.
