Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for December 17, 2019

Jordynne Grace beats Tenille Dashwood after countering a La Magistral Cradle. Both women show respect after the match, but Jordynne is suddenly attacked by Taya Valkyrie. Tenille gets back in the ring, and she and Jordynne team up and force Taya to retreat.

Backstage, Rhino meets Moose, who says that he has watched his match with RVD and says it is a shame Rhino came up short. He tells Rhino he could have given him pointers and that his Spear would have been better than Rhino's Gore, and Rhino responds with a Gore to Moose.

Backstage, Willie Mack is confronted by The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander), who say that they want to talk. Mack is ready to fight, but Ethan Page tells Mack to realize that Rich Swann is a star in the making and that he should let Swann go. Rich Swann shows up and tells The North to leave, and challenges Ethan Page to a one-on-one match.

TJP beats Daga with a knee bar into an STF. After the match, TJP and Fallah Bahh are attacked by The Desi Hit Squad (Rohit Raju and Raj Singh). Daga gets in the ring and fends The Desi Hit Squad off, then Mahabali Shera shows up and choke slams Daga and Gama Singh arrives to watch.

Backstage, "The Machine" Brian Cage runs into Rob Van Dam making out with Katie Forbes as they walk out of a smoked-out room, then RVD wishes Cage luck in their match at Hard To Kill, as he knows how to counter his own moves.

Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes show up. After Katie introduces RVD, RVD says he does not know what he did to get so much attention recently, but he will take it while he has it, as wrestling fans have short attention spans. He says that while all fans are on him and Katie, he will be taking a stand and claiming the long-overdue credit for inspiring every wrestler in the ring tonight and giving them their entire movesets. He then says that by "giving them their entire movesets," he means "being ripped off by them," then says his match with "The Machine" Brian Cage is being referred to as a dream match, as Cage is "the biggest RVD mark of them all." Cage shows up and confronts RVD before pushing him, starting a brawl between the two men while Katie watches in the corner. As Cage lifts RVD up, Katie hits Cage with a low blow and RVD hits Cage with a top rope leg lariat. Katie and RVD then team up for a Van Terminator on Cage, but RVD steps off the top turnbuckle to stick it to the fans before walking up to Cage and drop kicking the chair into Cage's face.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Generation Me vs. The Motor City Machine Guns in a Ladder Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships at Final Resolution 2010.

Backstage, Suzy is met by Rosemary. Suzy says she was with Father James Mitchell, but there is something else she is looking for. Rosemary asks if it something that Suzy has lost or forgotten, like a memory. Mitchell shows up and says Rosemary is not to be trusted. As Mitchell tells Suzy not to wander off and tells Rosemary not to stick her nose in his business, Havok suddenly attacks Rosemary, and Suzy suddenly lets out a massively loud yell that shocks everyone in the room before acting like nothing happened.

Backstage, Madison Rayne and Kiera Hogan are met by Taya Valkyrie, and Madison and Kiera make it clear they want no part of her. Nevertheless, Taya asks them for help, as she did not think being popular would be unpopular. Madison and Kiera want to know what is in it for them if they help her with Jordynne Grace. Taya says one of them will get a title opportunity at first, but soon changes her mind to make it both of them. Kiera says they will think about it.

"All Ego" Ethan Page beats Rich Swann by disqualification after Page suckers Willie Mack into the ring as the referee gets back into the ring following "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander taking a dive on the outside for Page.

Rhino and Moose have a backstage brawl that is quickly broken up.

Johnny Swinger guests on commentary for the next match.

Joey Ryan beats Acey Romero following some strange interference from Johnny Swinger as the referee is down from having Joey Ryan's lollipop in his mouth.

Backstage, Tessa Blanchard says she is not worried about Sami Callihan exposing the truth about her, saying that Sami is worried that she will beat him for the World Championship. She says that she will make history by taking the world title from a "disgusting, vile World Champion," and says that she is not going anywhere.

Backstage, Michael Elgin is looking for Eddie Edwards's gear. He then takes the Call Your Shot trophy and walks off.

Ace Austin beats "The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams. After the match, Austin dedicates tonight's victory to Trey Miguel's mom, whom he calls "the sexiest woman alive."

Backstage, Ace Austin is confronted by Trey Miguel for mentioning Trey's mother. Trey threatens to break Ace's neck, and after Ace mentions Trey's mom again, Trey has to be held back.

Sami Callihan shows up. Sami says he is here to expose Tessa Blanchard for exactly what she is: a fake and a phony, just like all the fans in the building tonight and watching at home. He says that everyone wants equality and says the World title match will be history, but it is just another match that people are making all about gender and that he will beat Tessa like he would any other male wrestler, as it is just pro wrestling to him. He then says Tessa Blanchard has had everything handed to her due to her family pedigree in a generation of entitled wrestlers, while he had to scratch and claw for everything to get to where he is now. He also says that he did everything on his own and that he never needed a famous father to get him a try-out for a company. Suddenly, Tessa Blanchard shows up, but she is attacked from behind by Madman Fulton. Sami and Fulton gang up on Tessa, but Ken Shamrock gets in the ring and brawls with Fulton. This leads to a two-on-two brawl, with Sami and Tessa taking their brawl to the back. The brawl becomes even more heated as a crowd of onlookers surround both Tessa and Sami, and the brawl quickly goes beyond the crowd and into the street. Sami eventually gets the upper hand and runs away, but he does not run away for long and the brawl starts back up. Referees are soon able to move in and keep both Tessa and Sami separated, but Tessa fights them off and goes after Sami to end the show.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!
