Slammiversary XVI - The Results

A returning Johnny Impact beats "The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams, Fenix and "The Bone Soldier" Taiji Ishimori in a four-way dance. (Petey Williams replaces Rich Swann, who suffered an injury in the independents.)

We see photographs of Johnny Impact throwing the official first pitch for the Toronto Blue Jays.

We see footage of The OG'z (King, Homicide, Hernandez) saying that they are tired of The Latin-American Xchange (Konnan, Santana, Ortiz). King says Konnan is selfish and that he should have given him his empire, as Santana and Ortiz don't deserve it. He plans to make the "young boys" cry tears of blood, then take the name of LAX and burn it before raising the name of The OG'z up.

Tessa Blanchard beats Allie.

Backstage, Alicia interviews Moose, who says that everything will pay off tonight and that he feels and looks good enough to kick Austin Aries' ass all over the ring and have the fans chant his name when he wins the World title.

Eddie Edwards beats Tommy Dreamer following a low blow, a DDT and a Boston Knee Party into a steel chair. After the match, Eddie gets back in the ring and has a mental breakdown. He helps Dreamer up, but Dreamer pushes him away before offering his hand. Suddenly, Alisha Edwards shows up and demands Eddie shake Dreamer's hand. Eddie and Dreamer shake hands, then Dreamer hands Eddie a Kendo stick before leaving.

We hear from "Reborn" Matt Sydal, he says that he has been bombarded by people concerned for his health. He says it is good to know people care, and says that tonight will not be a slaughter as he sees weakness and a shell when he sees "The Machine" Brian Cage. He then goes on to say that the Impact Wrestling X Division Championship chooses who holds it, and that he will show Cage why the title will stay with him.

"The Machine" Brian Cage beats "Reborn" Matt Sydal after getting the foot up for the Shooting Star Press - causing Sydal to hit his knees on the ropes - and hitting the Drill Claw to become the Impact Wrestling X Division Champion!

Backstage, Alicia interviews Austin Aries, who says that Moose has been dreaming of this night his entire life, but this night is his reality every night. Tonight, Aries will see if Moose is really "Mr. Impact Wrestling" like he claims to be. Aries says that he has been here before and he acts like it, and says all of Moose's preparation, dreams and hard work have led up tonight. He then says the only question remaining is what Moose will do for his third career choice.

Su Yung comes to the ring in a coffin brought in by undead bridesmaids before the next match.

Su Yung retains the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship against Madison Rayne with the Mandible Claw as Madison tries to get her up off the mat. After the match, Su Yung places Madison Rayne in the coffin she came to the ring in.

In footage from earlier today, The Latin-American Xchange (Konnan, Santana, Ortiz) try to come up with a strategy as Konnan says that he is sick and tired of The OG'z (King, Homicide, Hernandez) and that everything hinges on tonight and the streets are watching.

The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) retain the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships against The OG'z (Homicide and Hernandez) in a 5150 Street Fight after Konnan tosses a bag of thumbtacks to Santana while distracting Homicide. After the match, The OG'z go back on the attack, and Konnan confronts King from behind only to be blindsided. King then hits Konnan in the back with a blackjack before spray painting "OG" on the tag team titles and walking off with them.

We hear from Sami Callihan, who says he has been watching social media and has noticed that everyone thinks he will lose to Pentagon Jr. tonight. He considers Lucha de Apuesta matches nonsensical, and says oVe settles things through blood and violence. Sami then says that when he beats Pentagon Jr. tonight, he will kneel in front of him when he exposes who he really is to the entire world.

Pentagon Jr. beats Sami Callihan in a Mask vs. Hair match. (Had Callihan won, Pentagon Jr. would have had to unmask.) During the match, Sami Callihan throws powder into Pentagon Jr.'s face, causing a blinded Pentagon Jr. to inadvertently slap the referee and breaks his arm. Another referee shows up a few minutes later, and Pentagon Jr. breaks Sami Callihan's arm before hitting the package piledriver for the win. After the match, Pentagon Jr. gets the electric razor, but Dave and Jake Crist - who interfered earlier in the match - try to prevent the hair cutting only to be laid out by Pentagon Jr. Sami Callihan then runs to the back, but he is brought back by Fenix and members of security. Security holds the Crist brothers at bay as Fenix holds down Sami Callihan. Pentagon Jr. then cuts Sami Callihan's hair.

Bound For Glory is October 14, 2018 in New York City's Melrose Ballroom!

Curtis Granderson of the Toronto Blue Jays is the special guest title holder for the next match.

Austin Aries retains the Impact Wrestling World Championship against Moose despite Curtis Granderson keeping Aries from using the World title as a weapon.
