General Manager Kurt Angle is already in the ring. He thanks all the Raw Superstars who competed last night at Extreme Rules, and says they have made him proud to be General Manager. Angle quickly switches his focus to Brock Lesnar, saying he has not heard from Lesnar or his representatives and is stripping Lesnar of the WWE Universal Championship. Suddenly, Paul Heyman shows up at the last second. Angle insists that if Lesnar does not show, then Heyman is wasting his time. Heyman then says Lesnar is not here tonight. Before Angle can strip Lesnar of the Universal title, Heyman quickly gets in the ring. As the crowd chants "Strip the title!", Heyman tells Angle and the fans have it all wrong and that Brock Lesnar loves being in WWE as Universal Champion. Angle wants to know why Lesnar is not here. Heyman explains that Lesnar wants to represent the WWE as a two-sport champion when he becomes the UFC Heavyweight Champion once again, just like when Angle challenged for both WWE titles and his Olympic gold medals. Angle admires this goal, but insists that Lesnar will defend the title at SummerSlam or else he will no longer be WWE Universal Champion. Heyman tells Angle he drives a hard bargain and is one hell of a negotiator, and that Lesnar will defend at SummerSlam. He then congratulates the fans, for their voices have been heard and says they will get more Brock Lesnar only to get booed. He then gives Kurt Angle credit for forcing their hands, and after announcing Lesnar will defend at SummerSlam, he then asks who will be beaten, victimized and conquered by Lesnar. Suddenly, Bobby Lashley shows up. Lashley says that when he came back to WWE, he had two goals in mind: beat Roman Reigns and beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. He accomplished the first one last night, and now he plans to accomplish the other. Suddenly, Drew McIntyre shows up, and says he came back to the WWE to become a champion. He calls keeping gold around Dolph Ziggler's waist "phase one," and announces "phase two" as becoming WWE Universal Champion. Seth Rollins then shows up, are stares down with McIntyre. He then tells Angle that if he is looking for an opponent for Lesnar, he is right here. A guitar strum is then heard, and Elias shows up with his guitar and plays it before getting into the ring and saying nothing is nicer than him as WWE Universal Championship and his debut album dropping on July 23rd. He says it only makes sense to ride that success into SummerSlam and pit him against Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. His guitar playing is then interrupted by Finn Balor. Finn Balor says that he was the first WWE Universal Champion, and says it only makes sense for him to be facing Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. Suddenly, Roman Reigns shows up. Roman says he has no excuses and that he doesn't care about Brock Lesnar, and he just wants to fight somebody tonight. Angle says everyone in the ring is deserving, and announces that the winner of two Triple Threat Matches tonight will face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. The first will be Rollins vs. Lashley vs. Elias, while the other is McIntyre vs. Balor vs. Reigns, and one of them will be starting right now.
Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle is confronted by Constable Baron Corbin over making the two Triple Threat Matches as well as not being part of either match. Angle says he didn't need authorization from Stephanie McMahon and that Finn Balor beat him last night.

Angle tells Bayley he handled it all wrong, and puts her and Sasha in a match tonight against Alicia Fox and Dana Brooke. Bayley says it won't work, but Angle says that if this doesn't work and they cannot get along, then either she or Sasha will be traded to SmackDown Live.

Dolph Ziggler shows up. Ziggler says that last night, he did everything he said he was going to do and he put on an absolute clinic. He then tells Robert Downey Jr. to move aside for he is a bigger Black Sabbath fan as he is Iron Man and still WWE Intercontinental Champion. He then says that an Intercontinental Championship match main evented a pay-per-view for the first time in 17 years and that it was not because of Seth Rollins. Roode says he knows Ziggler is trying to give credit where credit is due, but says that if it wasn't for Drew McIntyre, he would not be in the ring bragging right now. He says that Ziggler should be on his hands and knees thanking McIntyre, or else he would be telling bad jokes in a comedy club. Ziggler asks Roode how fun it was to watch from the sidelines, and Roode says "the sidelines suck." He then says he is out here to challenge Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship right now. Ziggler doesn't want to do it, but Roode asks if he is afraid he can't do it on his own. Ziggler changes his tune and asks for a referee. The match is on, but before announcements can be made, Ziggler takes the microphone and says Roode can have a match, but not for the title.

After the match, Bo Dallas and Matt Hardy tell The B-Team to enjoy being tag team champions, for next week, they will pay for their cosmic crimes when they take back the Raw tag team titles and delete The B-Team forever.
Alexa Bliss and Mickie James show up. Alexa Bliss says that after everything that happened last night, she is still Raw Women's Champion after proving everyone wrong, beating Nia Jax and ending the story between them. She says that she has dominated the Women's Division for so long because she has outsmarted everyone and outsmarting Nia Jax wasn't that hard, and she can officially say that she has beaten every single woman in that locker room. She also says that "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey doesn't count, because she has been suspended from WWE and that she should be suspended indefinitely after her actions from last night. All of a sudden, Ronda Rousey is seen talking down the steps towards the front row, and Alexa Bliss and Mickie James make a break for it. Ronda cuts her off, however, and Alexa and Mickie run towards the ring with Ronda giving chase. Alexa Bliss gets Mickie James out of the ring from the outside as Ronda tries to break Mickie's arm, and Ronda runs through the referees on the ramp to get both Alexa and Mickie from behind. She then grabs Alexa by the hair and throws her back into the ring, and attempts to break Alexa's arm. General Manager Kurt Angle runs out and tells Ronda to calm down, especially after what she did last night. He then tells Ronda to go home and wait the rest of his suspension out, but Constable Baron Corbin shows up and demands Ronda be reprimanded for her actions. Angle tacks on another week to Ronda's suspension, but this does not please Corbin, who threatens to call Stephanie. Unfortunately, Corbin cannot find his cellphone, and has to head back to the office. Angle then pulls Corbin's phone out of his pocket and says Corbin will be looking for it, then tells Ronda she will get a match against Alexa for the Raw Women's title at SummerSlam. If Ronda violates the extended suspension, however, the match is off.
Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Seth Rollins. Rollins says last night was not his night, but tonight is, and next Monday as well as SummerSlam will be his night as he goes for the WWE Universal Championship. Before the next match, Elias says that Buffalo, New York is depressing and full of lost souls, and that everyone can be saved when they buy his debut album on July 23rd and let it heal them. As for the title of the album, it is simply "Walk With Elias." He then talks about his desire to be WWE Universal Champion and a successful recording artist, then says if he can will his way through this performance, he will be on his way. Elias then plays guitar and sings about how Brock Lesnar's got to go while he is in Buffalo, and says he would rather watch paint dry than hear Bobby Lashley speak and that Seth Rollins should dive off Niagara Falls. The performance is then interrupted by Seth Rollins' entrance.
