205:Alive - 205 Live recap for July 17, 2018

Before the next match, TJP says that General Manager Drake Maverick was gracious enough to tell him who his opponent was beforehand, then complains that Maverick wants him to be a curtain jerker in a "diaper storm of a town." He then gives Noam Dar credit for coming back from injury, and says that wrestling him is slightly better than wrestling one of the fans. He then says that he will ruin the comeback story, as he is still the "Cruisergreat" around here.

TJP beats Noam Dar by submission with the knee bar to Noam Dar's recently healed knee.

We hear from Mustafa Ali, who says that he has made the impossible possible and that he will continue to fight to become WWE Crusierweight Champion.

Drew Gulak beats Danny Garcia in seconds with the Gu-Lock. After the match, Gulak says you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find you get what you need. He then says 205 Live has had two years' worth of unworthy champions and that he will soon become a deserving champion. He then says Danny Garcia reminds him of Cedric Alexander, because when anyone steps to him, they tap out.

Backstage, Dasha Fuentes interviews Buddy Murphy and "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese. Murphy says he hates to lose, and says The Lucha House Party was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He regrets that Tony Nese did not win last week. Nese says this will be settled once and for all, and both sides will leave their partners behind to ensure the next meeting is one-on-one.

Lio Rush beats Akira Tozawa.

Backstage, Cedric Alexander meets with General Manager Drake Maverick over who he will defend the Cruiserweight Championship against next. Maverick says tonight's show has been great and that it could be anybody. Next week, it will be Drew Gulak vs. Hideo Itami vs. TJP vs. Mustafa in a Fatal 4-Way Match, with the winner going on to face Cedric for the title.
