205:Alive - 205 Live recap for July 3, 2018

Before the next match, TJP says tonight, General Manager Drake Maverick has scheduled him against an opponent of his choosing as well as in a match that he wants. TJP notes that this is not the main event, not for the Cruiserweight Championship and in the middle of "Yamaha, Nebraska," which he calls "a dump of a town." He says that Nebraska is where fun and excitement comes to die, and says he will give Maverick another chance, as he may have found an opponent who is actually worthy. TJP finds out that his opponent is none other than Noam Dar, who has not been seen on 205 Live since being injured six months ago.

Noam Dar quickly beats TJP.

We hear from Buddy Murphy, who says that there is no cruiserweight like him and that he is the juggernaut of the division. He says if it wasn't for Mustafa Ali, he would be Cruiserweight Champion. Tonight, there are no rules, and after he beats Mustafa Ali, he'll be waiting for Cedric Alexander.

Backstage, TJP ignores Dash Fuentes as she tries to interview him.

Before the next match, Lio Rush suddenly shows up and stands at ringside to scout the competition.

Akira Tozawa beats Jayson Strife. After the match, Lio Rush tells Tozawa his victory was impressive, and admits Tozawa is good. He then asks what Tozawa has done since he was Cruiserweight Champion, and says he's just been walking around and waiting for opportunities. Lio says Tozawa should be ashamed, and says the difference between them is that he doesn't wait for anything because he is too good to wait. He says he calls his own shots, and tells him to get in the ring with him when he's done waiting for opportunities.

We hear from Mustafa Ali, who says Buddy Murphy is big, strong, bad and dangerous. Tonight is a no-disqualification, which means Murphy is more dangerous than ever before. While others run from danger, however, he runs into it. He says rules - and bones - might be broken, but that is okay, because he will prove that the juggernaut is really human after all.

We hear from Cedric Alexander, who says Hideo Itami is acting entitled over what he has done in the past. Cedric he has worked too hard and too long to be a champion, and next week will be about adding Hideo's legend to his legacy.

Mustafa Ali beats Buddy Murphy in an intense no-disqualification match.
