Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 12, 2018

Homicide and Hernandez - now known along with King as "The OG'z" - quickly decimate Silversmith and Lee. After the match, King says Konnan had to go, for it is not his time anymore and he got tired of waiting to become the leader. He decided to take him out, but he gives Konnan credit for being a smart man and decided to stay two steps ahead, which is where Homicide and Hernandez come in. He says Homicide did not want to be left in Mexico and that Hernandez was left out of the action in favor of Santana and Ortiz. He says that no matter how much Konnan lies and schemes, Santana and Ortiz will follow him, and now they are about to get it as Hernandez and Homicide are multiple-time world tag team champions and the only thing they care about it taking Konnan out. King then challenges The Latin-American Xchange (Konnan, Santana, Ortiz) to a 5150 Street Fight at Slammiversary XVI, and says that when you come at the King, you'd best not miss.

Alicia interviews Shotzi Blackheart, who is making her Impact debut against Allie. Shotzi says being here has given her a one-track mind, and that track is to prove she is no "phony baloney" and the ballsy badass she says she is. She says this mango is ready to tango, and that she is always ready to rock. She then asks if Allie to ready to roll, as her mind is a machine, her body is the bullet and Allie is the target. She then howls like a coyote after asking "Who's your daddy?"

We hear from oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callihan). Callihan says that Fenix, Pentagon Jr. and Rich Swann are screwed because oVe is the best trio walking the planet today and six-man tag matches are what they do better than anyone else. Callihan says he will put Pentagon Jr. out of his misery at Slammiversary XVI when he takes Pentagon Jr.'s mask off and makes him suffer the biggest humiliation that anyone could ever imagine.

Allie beats Shotzi Blackheart. After the match, Allie is suddenly blindsided on the ramp by Tessa Blanchard, who proceeds to throw Allie back into the ring to hit her with the Hammerlock DDT.

Backstage, Grado, Katarina and Joe Hendry meet Eli Drake. As Grado introduces Katarina and Joe Hendry, Eli Drake tries to make a move on Katarina only for Grado to challenge Eli Drake to a match and threaten to beat him up in the ring.

Deangelo Williams is seen backstage talking to Z&E (DJ Z and Andrew Everett).

We hear from Tessa Blanchard, who says she attacked Allie because she is focused on the Knockouts Championship and she is prepared to run through the entire Knockouts Division as well as anyone who gets in her way. She then says that Madison Rayne got in her way, and while she was handling business, Allie had to make the save and do the right thing. She says that doing the right thing got Allie nowhere as Rosemary is dead and Allie ended up in a coffin, and she is ready to teach Allie that doing the right thing is the wrong thing for her.

We see a video package chronicling the events between Eddie Edwards and Tommy Dreamer.

A new Knockout is coming soon to Impact Wrestling...

We hear from Austin Aries, who says that as Slammiversary XVI draws near, Moose is at an undisclosed location doing the ahrdest training of his life. He says that Moose is trying to black out all the noise and focus in an attempt to beat him, but that will not happen, and tonight, after weeks of hype, Deangelo Williams is going to give an update on Moose's progress. Austin Aries says he has been looking forward to this, and he promises to welcome Deangelo Williams to Impact Wrestling as he cannot wait to hear about Moose.

The GWN Classic Slammiversary Moment of the Week is Gail Kim vs. Taryn Terrell in a Last Knockout Standing Match at Slammiversary XI.

Josh Mathews interviews Deangelo Williams in the ring. Williams says he hasn't been doing much besides helping Moose train, and declines to announce where Moose is as "there are cheaters in the back" and he and Moose are focused on bringing home the gold. He says that Moose looks great, has dropped a lot of weight and gained a ton of muscle, and that he is ready for Austin Aries at Slammiversary XVI, whom he says is "trash." After footage of Moose's training for Slammiversary XVI plays, Williams says Moose is ready. Suddenly, Austin Aries shows up and says Williams in his wring before appreciating that he dressed up for the occasion. He then says that he is surprised that Williams is in the ring as training camp is about to start and nobody signed him. He says Williams retired because nobody needed his services "just like [his] buddy Moose." He then says Williams had a great career, but then reminds him that he never won a Super Bowl and is standing in his ring and using pro wrestling just to stay relevant just like Moose. Williams says it is just an interview, and Aries says he is trying to do a good thing for his friend and he can appreciate him doing that. He then tells Williams he has a message for him, then punches him and stomps on him a few times. He gets out of the ring and brings back a steel chair, but when Aries swings, Williams ducks and kicks Aries in the leg, knocking him down. Williams then grabs the steel chair, but Aries kicks him in the groin before he can hit him with it. Aries then grabs the steel chair and smashes it into Williams' back.

Backstage, KM makes up with Fallah Bahh after his loss to Killer Kross last week. All of a sudden, Gama Singh and The Desit Hit Squad (Rohit Raju and Gursinder Singh) show up. Gama Singh asks if KM and Fallah Bahh think they are going to become tag team champions, then says that the tag team titles are within their reach and that they will bring honor back to their home country of India. KM says Gama Singh has no idea who they are, and if The Desi Hit Squad want a piece of them, all they have to do is get it. Gama Singh calls Fallah Bahh and KM "typical North Americans," saying that one cannot control what goes into his mouth and the other cannot control what comes out of his match. He then laughs and walks away along with The Desi Hit Squad.

Eli Drake beats Grado. After the match, Eli Drake tries to hit on Katarina again, but Joe Hendry steps between them and stands up for Grado and Katarina. Eli Drake accuses Katarina and Joe Hendry of having a relationship behind Grado's back.

We hear from Killer Kross, who says he was in the process of having a real good time until "The Canadian Destroyer' Petey Williams felt the need to interject himself into a situation that had nothing to do with him. He says that when he finds Petey Williams again, he will squeeze all the oxygen out of his skull, for in the end, everybody pays the toll.

Alicia interviews "Reborn" Matt Sydal, who says that the mismatch against "The Machine" Brian Cage at Slammiversary XVI is in his favor, and that while Brian Cage thinks of himself as mechanical, the world lives in an organic universe. He says that machines break down while organic things come back to life, and that no matter how far down somebody tries to bury him, he rises back up. He says Cage is as foolish as everyone else to think that size matters, because if that were the case, he would have no career. Sydal says that he has made a career of beating men bigger than him, because the strongest muscle he flexes is his mind. He says his open third eye changes the power dynamic in the match, and instead of Cage having the physical advantage, he has the mental and psychological advantage. Sydal says that it is what is on the inside that counts, and at Slammiversary XVI, it will become completely evident to everyone watching the match. He then tells Cage that it is what is inside - heart, spirit and an open third eye - that counts, and that the X Division title has attached itself to him and it is going nowhere.

It is announced that Tessa Blanchard vs. Allie is official for Slammiversary XVI.

We hear from Moose via telephone, who says that he knows what Austin Aries did to Deangelo Williams and that Austin Aries screwed up as friends and family have nothing to do with this. He says that if he attacked Deangelo Williams to get to him, it worked, because next week, he will be in the Impact Zone and waiting to see if Aries is man enough to get in the ring with him as payback is a bitch.

Alicia holds a sit-down interview with Madison Rayne, who says she did not come back to become an in-ring competitor but is now preparing to face Su Yung and potentially become a six-time Knockouts Champion. As she talks about Su Yung, she has a feeling that Su Yung's presence is in the building. She stands up and looks around, then notices that Alicia is gone and a bloodied white tarp with the words "UR TIME HAZ COME" is scrawled on it. She turns around and sees the back of the gown of an undead bridesmaid trailing out of the room, and follows it. The door shuts behind her and locks for a second, but then it unlocks. The last thing that is seen is Madison Rayne looking up as she gets back into the room.

oVe (Dave Crist, Jake Crist, Sami Callihan) beats Pentagon Jr., Fenix and Rich Swann in a six-man tag team match with lucha rules.

We see what Madison Rayne saw when she opened the door at the end of the footage of the sit-down interview: a portal into a dark forest. Madison Rayne walks inside and looks around, and notices the undead bridesmaids are here. She tries to run away, but trips as the undead bridesmaids surrounder. The undead bridesmaids tells Madison Rayne her time has come, but all of a sudden, the bridesmaids disappear. Madison Rayen looks around, and Su Yung appears behind her, laughing. She tells Madison Rayne her time has come, and grabs her.
