The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) beat The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley). After the match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up and congratulates them for winning a match instead of running from it, then Big E channels Booker T by saying "we coming for you" before The New Day make it clear they want the SmackDown tag team titles. The Usos take a pass for tonight, but accept their challenge for Battleground, saying it is about them now, not The New Day. The New Day spit a few bars.
It's time for Fashion Vice. Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) interrogate The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor), and even being bribed with Eddie Money tickets doesn't seem to get them anywhere, as The Ascension only listen to grindcore and thrash metal. After Tyler Breeze lays out a pitcher of ice tea and a cheese platter, noise is heard nearby. Breezango investigate the noise only to discover that their office has been trashed again. The Ascension are then seen enjoying the cheese platter and taking the Eddie Money tickets.

Aiden English sings in the middle of the ring until he is interrupted by Randy Orton.
Randy Orton is sitting in the middle of the ring after hitting Aiden English with an RKO during the commercial break, and says he is not leaving until he gets what he wants. After getting us up to speed on what happened between him and Jinder Mahal last week, he demands a rematch for the WWE Championship. If he does not get it, he will beat up Jinder Mahal not only in the arena, but also outside of it and even next week before the show starts. After deciding that he will have to head to the back, Commissioner Shane McMahon shows up. Orton makes it clear he wants to make Jinder pay for disrespecting his family, and will even buy tickets to shows if he has to. Shane admits that both sides in this conflict have used similar tactics, but gives Orton his rematch at Battleground, with Jinder picking the stipulation for their match. Jinder shows up with The Singh Brothers (Sunil and Samir Singh), and says Orton is not worthy of a championship rematch after losing at Money In The Bank, and finds it incredible that Shane McMahon is supporting Orton. He then announces that their match will be a Punjabi Prison match.
General Manager Daniel Bryan is on the phone when AJ Styles shows up, as does Kevin Owens. Owens calls Styles a loser after saying his open challenge is only for people he has not yet beaten for the title, while Styles calls Owens "Ron Burgundy's definition of Sand Diego[, California]." Daniel Bryan tells Owens he does not get the point of an open challenge, and makes a match official. Next week, there will be an Independence Day Battle Royal, and the winner of this battle royal will face Kevin Owens for the WWE United States Championship at Battleground.
