205:Alive - 205 Live recap for June 13, 2017

At the start of the show, Titus O'Neil meets up with Akira Tozawa in the locker room, and tells him he has hooked him up with a main event match against TJP tonight. He also mentions Neville's reaction to his tweet regarding Tozawa, and tries to recruit him to the Titus Brand. After Titus walks away, Tozawa just shakes his head.

Despite the attempted interference of Noam Dar - and Alicia Fox, who Facetimes him on the phone - Cedric Alexander beats Ariya Daivari. After the match, Cedric grabs the phone, pretends not to hear Alicia, then hangs up on her.

Austin Aries shows up. Aries says it's great to be back in New Orleans, Louisiana and back in a WWE ring, but he thought this moment would be different and that he would be champion. He admits he did not get the job done against Neville, and says he will keep on going. Aries says he is having issues with his neck and leg, and until some tests are done, he is not medically cleared to wrestle. Before he can talk more about his future, "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese shows up and tells him he should get a seat in the crowd while he takes the ring, and to take whatever dignity he has left and fade into the past, as the future is right in front of him. Aries says the last time they were in the ring, he made him tap out. He then asks what exercise he had to do to "grow a set." Nese says he has no time for Aries or his jokes. Suddenly, "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher shows up and tells him New Orleans is known for having fun and jokes, but if Nese thinks he can replace Aries, he is the biggest joke of all as he is no Austin Aries. Nese swings at Gallagher, but meets the business end of William III.

TJP meets Rich Swann backstage. Swann tells TJP he took Neville to his limits last week, and that the fans are starting to believe in him again just like he is. He tells TJP that if he wants to wear a chip on his shoulder and take shortcuts, that is fine, but "TJ Perkins" would go out there and do it the right way. He tells TJP to get his head in the game before he leaves.

We get a closer look at Mustafa Ali, which is interrupted by Drew Gulak, who criticizes his high-flying maneuvers in his crusade for a better 205 Live with no high-flying.

Next week: Mustafa Ali vs. Drew Gulak! "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher vs. "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese!

Akira Tozawa beats TJP. After the match, Titus O'Neil is celebrating backstage when Neville shows up and tells Titus he is setting Tozawa up for pain and misery as he is nowhere near the Neville level. Titus says he sees the future, and that Tozawa is the future of 205 Live.
