Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 5, 2017

Bray Wyatt shows up to start tonight's show. He says that last night was the beginning of the end. He had a chance to slay "The Beast" and save everyone, but "they" took his weapon and "stabbed" him. However, he is still alive and very much the god he has always been. He passes judgment deems his Fatal 5-Way opponents from last night "guilty," and says they will all be punished one by one, starting tonight with Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns shows up before Bray can say much more, and takes the microphone. A referee shows up, and after some hesitation, Roman punches Bray after telling him the crowd is proof that this is his yard and asking him if he knows what happens when he runs his mouth in it. This starts a match.

Roman Reigns beats Bray Wyatt.

Charly Caruso interviews Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Enzo plans to get his hands on who attacked him, and Cass says they don't know who did it before saying it was not him who attacked Enzo. To make sure Enzo does not get attacked again, Cass will have Enzo's back in his matches.

It is announced that Bayley is at home recuperating from last night's match.

Alexa Bliss meets up with General Manager Kurt Angle backstage, and tells Angle she is done with Bayley. She wants to celebrate not just her title win, but her entire life, but Angle nixes the idea, saying that the "This Is Your Life" segment was the worst-rated segment on Raw last week. He also reminds her that she promised Nia Jax a shot at the Raw Women's title, and holds her to that promise tonight.

Elias Sampson (no longer being called "The Drifter") plays guitar and sings for the crowd, once again bashing the city, the people in it and also Dean Ambrose. Ambrose shows up, smacks the microphone into Samson and beats him up before demanding The Miz and an Intercontinental title rematch. Miz appears on the TitanTron, saying there will be no rematch tonight and that he will be celebrating the beginning of the comeback tour. Samson then attacks Ambrose from behind.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose runs into General Manager Kurt Angle as he looks for The Miz. Angle tells Ambrose to leave the building and take the night off.

Samoa Joe shows up. Ge pans to make this very simple: what stands in front of the fans is a man who does not fear Brock Lesnar, and incapable of fearing him because he envies everything he has. Joe wants to enter, beat people up and leave just like Lesnar, and wants the ability to instill fear in other men at his own behest. He then Paul Heyman to advocate for him, negotiate his contract and run his errands. He also wants the Universal Championship, and a tGreat Balls of Fire, he will get in the ring, stare him in the eye, take him down and take the Universal title from him. Heyman shows up and puts Samoa Joe on a pedestal, understands Joe does not fear Lesnar, and says that Lesnar does not fear Joe, either. What surprises Heyman is that Joe likes the fact that Lesnar does not fear him and is looking for that. He says that Finn Balor vs. Brock Lesnar was the best possible scenario, because there was a story to tell and guaranteed money, then says Joe vs. Lesnar is the "worst case scenario" as Joe wants to take the fight to Lesnar and Lesnar won't leave the same way he came in at Great Balls of Fire, but tells Joe that Lesnar will be his "worst case scenario." If Joe wants Lesnar, he has him. Joe and Heyman shake hands, then Joe gets Heyman's attention, takes him to the side, and tells him something very bad will happen to him: he will wrap his hand around him and put him in the Coaquina Clutch, and that he will pass out, and asks Heyman to describe the experience to Lesnar so he can explain to him what will happen to him at Great balls of Fire in excruciating detail as only he can. He then applies the Coaquina Clutch to Heyman until referees rush in and restore order, then Joe leaves.

Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle confronts Samoa Joe, who says he will take out anyone who gets in the way of himself and Brock Lesnar, and asks Angle if he is in his way. Rollins has to step up, and says he is. He tells Joe he beat Finn Balor and not him, and that he is not Finn Balor, Bray Bray Wyatt or Roman Reigns. Seth tells Joe he has beaten him before and he will beat him again. Angle makes this an official match for later tonight.

Sheamus and Cesaro quickly beat Heath Slater and Rhyno. After the match, Sheamus says this is how a talented tells pulls it off, and brags about beating The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) last night, saying they picked the match that they thought would give them the advantage, and ened up not having the advantage. They then say they don't just set the bar, they are the bar.

TJP runs into Neville backstage, congratulates him on the win last night, then asks about his title shot. Neville says he is a man of his word, and tells him that if he handles his business tonight and beats Mustafa Ali, he will speak with General Manager Kurt Angle.

Mickie then says they will be at ringside to see what happens to Alexa.

Enzo Amore tells Big Cass that whoever attacked Cass also has a chain when he was attacked. Enzo then reveals he has a match, and finds out he will have to get a new tag team partner as Cass is being checked out.

The ring is set up for The Miz and Maryse's Intercontinental Championship celebration. Miz says he deserves the title, and tonight, he kicks off the Intercontinental Championship comeback tour. Miz talks about how he restored the Intercontinental Championship to the heights that it once knew, and raises a glass to himself and Maryse. He also compliments the man in the bear costume, saying it is a great idea for the tour. Maryse says it is not her idea, and Miz says the bear suit man is not his idea, either. The man in the bear suit gets a Skull Crushing Finale, but upon the realization that it is not Dean, Miz tosses him out of the ring anyway. A present is brought out, and Miz attacks it, thinking it is Dean, and Maryse tries to stop him. It turns out there is a grandfather clock inside, and Miz broke it.
