Collision Course - Collision recap for December 2, 2023

We hear from Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli, Andrade el Idolo, CJ Perry, Daniel Garcia, "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, and Eddie Kingston before the show.

Brody King beats Claudio Castagnoli in the Blue League of the Continental Classic and earns three points.



In backstage footage from Dynamite, Jon Moxley says that if entering the Continental Classic was a bad idea, he will not find out until it is too late. He says nobody has done it like him in the last four years and that he is in pain, and that he sick and tired of being sick and tired. Moxley says he will do what he always does and wrestle and fight his way out of this, and put every ounce of sweat, effort and will into winning the tournament, as it is what AEW was built on. He says somebody must step up, win the tournament, and show what AEW is and can be, and that somebody will have to be him. Moxley then says nobody in the tournament can do to him that is worse than he goes through on a daily basis, and dares everyone to take a shot.

Abadon beats Kiera Hogan. After the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Julia Hart is behind Abadon. When Abadon focuses on Julia, the lights go out again, and Julia is nowhere to be seen when they come back on.



Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Samoa Joe. Before Joe can say much, Roderick Strong and The Kingdom show up. Roddy says he is willing to forgiving him for trying to break his neck twice, then tells him that he is falling for a trap and that MJF is The Devil. He syas that Joe is his best friend by proxy of being Adam Cole's best friend, then says that MJF and his flunkies are plotting to beat him up. Samoa Joe chortles and leaves.

"Daddy Magic" Matt Menard guests on commentary for the next match.

Backstage, we hear from Willie Mack, who calls out Wardlow for putting his hands on AR Fox and says that next week, he will reach out and touch him. He tells Wardlow to pack a lunch, because he will be a hard meal to eat.

Before the next match, Roderick Strong tells Smaoa Joe that everything he told him backstage was true and that Joe will find out very soon, then says The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) will not "neck the halls" with The Iron Savages (Boulder and Bronson) and beat their asses before dedicating the match to Adam Cole.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) beat The Iron Savages (Boulder and Bronson). After the match, Roderick Strong falls out of his wheelchair trying to get in the ring.



Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "All Ego" Ethan Page, who says that he has had to regroup and get in the best shape of his life while racking up wins in Ring of Honor. He wants to be "The King of Canada," but the crown is on Kenny Omega and he wants him next week.

We see a video package chronicling the history between Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Martinez.

The House of Black (Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews) beat "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal. After the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) shows up. Malakai Black assumes both of them are joining The House of Black, especially when FTR strikes him as family men, then lays the microphone on the mat and allows Harwood to pick it up only for Matthews to knee him in the head. The House of Black make quick work of FTR, and Buddy Matthews holds Dax Harwood down as Malakai Black hits Cash Wheeler with Black Mass. Malakai Black says that nobody is coming for FTR as Harwood flips Malakai Black off, then Malakai hits Harwood with Black Mass.



In backstage footage from earlier this week, Renee Paquette interviews a flustered "Timeless" Toni Storm. Toni advises Skye Blue to walk backwards and says she is not scared of her, then states that if Skye wants to interrupt her, she can be the first challenger to her title.

Backstage, we hear from Skye Blue, who calls Toni Storm's "Timeless" phase the most pathetic thing she has ever seen, then tells Toni Storm to get in the ring so she can take her title. She says she will keep her chest out, keep her tits up and shove Toni's shoe up her ass.

We see a video package chronicling the history between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in AEW so far.

El Hijo del Vikingo beats Kip Sabian.



Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Keith Lee. On the subject of "him," Shane Taylor and "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty show up. Shane Taylor says last year's tag match solved nothing for him and that they should have the one-on-one match everyone wants to see. Keith Lee accepts the challenge.

Backstage, CJ Perry has to stop Miro from entering Andrade el Idolo's dressing room. She says that Miro picked his god, then says she must prove herself by winning the tournament. She says she has to do things her own way, and tells Miro to promise he will not touch Andrade. Miro said his god is gone and that he would be in the tournament if he was not, then promises he will not lay a hand on Andrade.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beats Eddie Kingston in the Blue League of the Continental Classic and earns three points. After the match, Bryan Danielson shows off a fan sign saying "Eddie is a bum."



Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 2, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews Ray Ray Sanders at the announce desk. Ray Ray Sanders, who is holding both of the tag team titles, announces that Derrick King will no longer compete in Memphis Wrestling due to medical reasons, and while he will recover, he does not know if he should forfeit the titles or defend the titles himself. After showing a fan-taken picture of himself and Derrick King with the titles and declaring that he will defend the titles himself, Ellsworth Enterprises ("The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx, Matt Williams, Storybook Prince Gaston) shows up. Matt Williams says that if he going to do that, he might as well do it today. Ray Ray says he will do it today and fight tooth and nail to defend the titles for the fans and for Derrick King.



We see footage from Grind City Wrestling of Dustin Starr interviewing Tim Bosby, who says that he has matured and that he wants to prove he is one of the best, and to do that, he has to face the best. He says that he has been watching "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander since middle school, and that Alexander would make for a good match before calling Alexander out.

Van Viciouss beats Denzel Rollins with the curb stomp followed by the Camel Clutch. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and Van Viciouss at the announce desk. Blaylock chews out the fans for signing the petition to oust him from Memphis Wrestling and says he has a contract. He states that if any of the wrestlers in the back sign the petition, he promises that there will be hell to pay in the form of Van Viciouss. Viciouss says that anyone who makes the mistake, they will pay, for they run Memphis.



We hear from The Posse (Simon and Mr. hris). Simon says that he is thankful that Memphis Wrestling has protected the fans from them, but at the same time, nobody protected him when he was chained and beaten with a chair or when Mr. Chris got a fireball thrown at him. He says that Memphis Wrestling protects everyone from The Posse while nobody protects The Posse, and while 2023 has been "kinda shitty," they are bringing hell with them in 2024.

We see Justin Case and The Roberts Family Legacy ("The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, Cordale Roberts, Big Red) on the way to the WrestleCenter. Aaron Roberts hopes the rings are bigger this year and that they are coming for the Trios Championships.

The Roberts Family Legacy ("The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, Cordale Roberts, Big Red) beat the team of "Big Swole" Justin Cole, "Casanova" Colton Cage and "Astonishing" Austin Molitalo and team of The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) to win the Memphis Trios Tournament and become the Memphis Wrestling Trios Champions after Justin Cole and Austin Molitalo argue with each other and refuse to work together while Big John Dalton shows up and steals Reverend Ash Taylor's collection plate, causing Reverend Ash Taylor to chase after Big John Dalton.

Backstage, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Phil plan to make the WrestleCenter "The Main Event Bradley MegaCenter." When Phil asks Brad why he is not in gear, Brad says he has bigger fish to fry in the form of a title match with "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and that he has a partner already set for him. Brad leaves, and Phil asks how to undo the straitjacket.



The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) beat Phil - now known as Big Nasty Phil - and J. Webb as Webb and Phil completely fail to get along.



Backstage, Ray Ray Sanders is on the phone, saying he will do everything he can to keep the tag team titles and that if he has to fight by himself, he will.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn. Will Gibson is the referee for this match. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels at the announce desk. He says that while two men are eyeballing his championship, he has beaten both of them. Suddenly, K-Toomer shows up and says Brett did not beat him; he only survived him. K-Toomer says he is coming for the Heritage Championship, and while there is nothing but respect between them, when they are in the ring, it is "Blackout Force Energy."



We hear from Mike Anthony, who is in an abandoned building with a metal folding chair. Mike Anthony laughs at he knows K-Toomer is thinking and that K-Toomer is only number one in the streets while he is the true number one contender. He tells King Cobra to do the right thing and rectify the situation, or else he will.

Ellsworth Enterprises (Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston) beat Ray Ray Sanders to become the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Champions! During the match, Ray Ray Sanders pins Storybook Prince Gaston to win, but it is soon revealed to be the legal man for Ellsworth Enterprises. As this happens, "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx hits Ray Ray Sanders with one of the tag team title belts, allowing Matt Williams to win with a schoolkid pin and win the titles. After the match, Nyxx takes the picture that Ray Ray Sanders showed at the beginning of the show and rips it in half.

They're On A Rampage - Rampage recap for December 1, 2023



Best Friends (Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, Danhausen) and Hook beat "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard and The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Alex Reynolds) in an eight-man tag match. Wheeler Yuta shows up and guests on commentary shortly after the start of the match. Near the end of the match, Danhausen curses Menard and wears Jake Hager's hat, and Hager tumbles over the ring ropes trying to get to Danhausen. Angelo Parker grabs the hat from Danhausen's head, and as Hook takes the hat back and puts Parker in Redrum, Danhausen stacks Menard up for the win.



Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Saraya, Ruby Soho and Anna Jay. As Saraya tries to squash beef with Anna Jay, Angelo Parker shows up. Anna Jay says she wants no one at ringside, and Saraya wants Ruby Soho to have nothing with Angelo.

Tony Schiavone interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Sting in the ring. Sting shows up first, followed by Flair. Sting talks about some of the great matches that he had in Minneapolis, Minnesota and says that it is good to be back before thanking everyone, including Flair. Flair says he has covered a lot of ground and had a lot of ground, but the people who will always be special to him will be Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, and of course, Sting. He says he is glad to be back in his hometown and share this moment, and that he will be with Sting until the end. He also says that they have stayed honest with each other, and that they will stay all night and dance a little longer.



Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida and Skye Blue. Statlander says tonight is a hard pill to swallow after all she has been through since her return and mentions Skye Blue being pinned. As Skye and Statlander argue, Shida says she lost her title, too, but she is taking her anger out on their opponents tonight and says they should, too.

The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Powerhouse Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher) quickly beat three unnamed opponents in a trios match. After the match, Don Callis addresses Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, saying they could be the most dominant tag team of all time. He then says only winning matters to his family, and that they will continue dominating until there is nowhere for Jericho and Omega to hide.



In backstage footage from earlier tonight, Prince nana and "The Machine" Brian Cage celebrate Gates of Agony dominating in Japan and bringing money home before hiring The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry)for tonight, saying it could be a big opportunity for them. He says that he has already paid them off, and he wants to see if they can be Mogul Embassy material.

Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida and Skye Blue beat Anna Jay and The Outcasts (Saraya and Ruby Soho) in a trios match despite communication issues between Statlander and Skye Blue.



Penta el Zero Miedo, Komander and El Hijo del Vikingo beat The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry) and "The Machine" Brian Cage after Brian Cage and Prince Nana walk out on the match following a miscommunication between Brian Cage and The Workhorsemen.



Friday Night's Main Event - Main Event recap for December 1, 2023

Before the next match, Van Viciouss demands that the fans stand up and give him the proper respect. He then says he has "a loser" in the back that he will slap around to show everyone who runs Memphis Wrestling before demanding his opponent be brought out.

"All The Way" Ray Collins beats Van Viciouss with an inside cradle.



Before the next match, Reverend Ash Taylor asks who would donate money to a "worthless baseball team" when they could donate to his collection plate. Brother Bruce agrees, but the fans do not. He also says that Brother Bruce will only have this match if Big John Dalton agrees to join his flock, no questions asked. When Big John Dalton makes it to the ring, Dalton says he is not worried about that, because he will kick Ash Taylor's butt tonight.

Big John Dalton and Waldo beat The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor and Brother Bruce). During the match, Reverend Ash Taylor gets on the apron and distracts Big John Dalton, and when Dalton grabs him, Brother Bruce tries to attack Dalton only for Dalton to duck so Bruce hits Taylor instead. Big John Dalton then goes up to Dustin Starr and asks to make this a tag team match, which Dustin Starr makes official, then picks Waldo - a guy with long hair who is dressed like Waldo from "Where's Waldo?" - out of the crowd for his tag team partner. (Had Big John Dalton lost, he would have had to join The Righteous Path.)



Before the next match, Matt Williams asks why they are in Brighton, Tennessee when Arkansas have a better football team, then says that his daughters are better at softball than the school's girl's softball team. Tim Bosby shows up and states that he takes offense to what Matt Williams just said, then brings out Coach Wallace, who has also taken offense to what he has just said.

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Matt Williams. During the match, Bosby takes down both Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston, who distracts the referee so that Williams can hit Bosby with a low blow. Coach Wallace gets in the ring and hits Storybook Prince Gaston with his own storybook, allowing Bosby to get the win and retain the title. After the match, Coach Wallace gives Gaston the Stunner and pins him for the three-count.



Before the next match, Simon says he has a special gift for "The GunShow" Brett Michaels: Will the Thrill. All of a sudden, a young man with Posse facepaint shows up and teams with Simon. Brett Michaels says he did not come alone either and that he has kinfolk in Brighton, Tennessee, then brings out a young man named Noah from the baseball team shows up in Brett's corner.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Simon. Near the end of the match, Simon and Brett Michaels both hit the referee as they both try to hit each other, and Noah taks out Will the Thrill in the middle of the ring before Brett Michaels hits the GunShow Lariat on Simon to retain. After the match, Will the Thrill shakes hands with Noah and Brett Michaels after Simon yells at Will.



Mackenize Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx after Nyxx tries to walk out of the match only to be outnumbered by the Brighton girl's softball team.



THE NXT LVL - NXT LVL UP recap for December 1, 2023

Von Wagner beats Luca Crusifino.



In backstage footage from earlier today, Kelly Kincaid interviews Brinley Reece. Reece talks about her background as a competitive cheerleader and getting her degree while being a fitness trainer prior to becoming a WWE Superstar. She says that she puts 100% into everything she does, and after the Women's Breakout Tournament, nothing will stop her from reaching the top, especially against Elektra Lopez. She says Elektra Lopez is strong and has a lot of experience, but she and Lola Vice will learn what it means to "get big with Brin."

Elektra Lopez beats Brinley Reece after Lola Vice grabs at Brinley's foot.



Drew Gulak beats Tavion Heights after Tavion takes out Myles Borne and Charlie Dempsey.



Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for December 1, 2023

Bianca Belair heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Bianca thanks the members of her Survivor Series team for helping her getting the win, then says she is still coming for Iyo Sky because she wants her title back. Suddenly, Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane) shows up. Dakota Kai says it is great how Bianca gets all the people to cheer for her, then asks who would want to love in Brooklyn, New York before telling Bianca that Iyo has beaten her twice and that she has to go through all of Damage CTRL to get another shot. As Bianca asks who wants another shot, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi show up. Charlotte says she would love to go through all of Damage CTRL, and Shotzi says there is enough to go around before she and Charlotte run into the ring. Bianca, Charlotte and Shotzi come out on top in the ensuing brawl, and Damage CTRL is forced to retreat.



Next week is Tribute To The Troops 2023 on SmackDown!

Backstage, Bayley meets up with the rest of Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane), wondering why everyone else was in the ring without her. Dakota Kai lets Bayley know that Kairi Sane has a match tonight and that Kairi would appreciate Bayley's help.

Before the next match, Bobby Lashley tells Butch that he told him to make a name himself before telling him he will break him into pieces. When Lashley asks Butch if he ready for that, Butch slaps him in the face, starting the match.

Bobby Lashley beats Butch.



Backstage, General Manager Nick Aldis is met by Paul Heyman. Heyman is annoyed about Randy Orton being invited to SmackDown, and Nick Aldis says he intends to sign Randy Orton to a SmackDown-exclusive contract tonight. Heyman asks if Roman Reigns knows about this, and Aldis tells Heyman that all communication to Roman goes through Heyman thanks to an e-mail he has read, and that he will go so far as to trade The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa) to get the deal done. When Aldis asks if he will do anything about it, Heyman says "Anything it takes."

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Butch about Ridge Holland walking out on him last week. Butch says it is not about The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge, Butch) any more and that he must focus on himself, then Pretty Deadly show up and mock him. Butch then brawls with them only to get overpowered and mocked again.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Santos Escobar. Escobar says he is only finishing what Rey Mysterio started when he picked Carlito over him, and that Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro are blinded and have no idea Rey will do the same thing to him. He says that if Joaquin Wilde cannot see the truth, he will put him on the shelf right now.

Santos Escobar beats Joaquin Wilde. After the match, Escobar attacks Wilde again, then Dragon Lee runs into the ring and chases Escobar out before checking on Wilde. Escobar tries to ambush Lee from behind, but Lee gets the upper hand.



Backstage, General Manager Nick Aldis is met by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and finds out Aldis is planning on signing Randy Orton to a SmackDown contract. Pearce produces a Raw contract and says he will join Aldis, then leaves.

Logan Paul heads to the ring. He says that for everyone who stabbed him in the back or prayed for his downfall, he asks where they are now, for the more they hope he fails, the harder he works, the more he wins and the more he gets to celebrate. He also sticks it to everyone in the back who is mad at him for being the fastest-rising star in WWE, then says that since Rey Mysterio is injured, he and Nick Aldis have created a eight-man tournament with the winner facing him for the United States title. After Logan announces that Santos Escobar, Dragon Lee, Karrion Kross, Bobby Lashley, Austin Theory, Kevin Owens, Grayson Waller and an unknown NXT Superstar will be in the tournament, Owens shows up. Owens calls Logan being in his ring a nightmare, and says that ever since he first saw Logan on Vine, he always thought of him as a jackass. After calling Prime a "crap drink," he says he will end that nightmare and number Logan's days as champion. Logan says Owens may be a prizefighter, he has been with the best boxer in the world, and six seconds is five more than he needs to knock Owens out. Owens admits Logan is clever, but says that boxing and wrestling are different worlds and that WWE is his world. Suddenly, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory shows up. Waller says that Logan need not engage with Owens and that he, Waller and Theory have a lot in common. As Theory tells Owens that his days of punching people in the face are numbered, Owens punches Theory in the face.





Logan Paul guests on commentary for the next match.

Kevin Owens beats Grayson Waller after Waller stuffs Owens' hand in a turnbuckle and attempts to kick it and further injure it only for Owens to pull his hand out, roll away and stack Waller up for the win.



Backstage, Bayley looks apprehensive, and Iyo Sky tells her to stay backstage tonight while she, Dakota Kai and Asuka accompany Kairi Sane.

Bianca Belair beats Kairi Sane after Bayley - who shows up near the end of the match to support Kairi after Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, Dakota Kai and Asuka are all ejected from ringside - shows up and inadvertently distracts Kairi as she goes for the In-Sane Elbow, allowing Bianca to hit the K.O.D. for the win.



Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis are in the ring. Nick Aldis welcomes back Randy Orton, who heads to the ring. Pearce and Aldis speak over each other as they try to get Orton to sign with them, with Pearce promising a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship and Aldis promising revenge The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa), when Paul Heyman shows up. Heyman notes that Orton wants revenge against The Bloodline, but notices that there will be RKOs or decisions tonight as The Bloodline will make the decision for him. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa show up and attack Orton, then LA Knight shows up and evens the numbers game. As LA Knight and Solo Sikoa brawl their way to the back, Randy Orton gives Jimmy Uso a beating that ends with an RKO. Orton asks for both contracts, then takes them both before throwing the Raw contract out of the ring, signing the SmackDown contract and laying it on Jimmy Uso. Orton then tells Heyman to call Roman Reigns and tell him "Daddy's back."As Aldis celebrates with Randy Orton, Orton hits Aldis with an RKO.
