Joe demands Schiavone leave the ring before he "snatch[es] that ugly wig off his head." Joe says he is not in a suit tonight because wearing a suit is too sophisticated for the people of the Indianapolis, Indiana area. He also views Eddie as lesser than he is, saying he has never gotten it done and has never fulfilled his potential. He says that Eddie will "fight [his] ass off" to beat him for the AEW World Championship, but he will not cross the finish line, just like every other time. Joe says it will only be because he choked Eddie unconscious in the middle of this ring rather than anything Eddie has done. Eddie says Joe was once held in high regard, but he has since "sold [his] soul out hard." He says he knows perseverance from Joe and that he is a hothead only because he gets things done when he does, and that while Joe showed what it meant to be a real heavyweight champion, he now has become like the guys from the old generation he used to hate. Eddie tells Joe that if he brings the Samoa Joe that made him want to battle and keep going, he will eat him alive next week.

He says things have changed in a year, as he is now the TNT Champion, not Garcia, and his opinion of Garcia is not what it once was, as he is falling into "a Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, Marina Shafir) death spiral." Briscoe says he does not play games, and he has asked for this TNT Championship match. He says that their title match next week will be "an international ass-whuppin'."

Callis also says he has The Young Bucks' money and knows that Omega will not finance them, and dares The Young Bucks to come to the ring and take it. The Young Bucks show up and fight Alexander, Fletcher and Hechicero, with Fletcher receiving a BTE-Trigger. They also manage to get one bag of money, but they are soon thwarted by "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada. The Young Bucks are soon overpowered, but they are saved by Jurassic Express ("Jungle" Jack Perry and Luchasaurus). Jordynne says that the path is not that simple, and that she will become champion after some near-misses. Lola says he has also been grinding, and while she has been screwed several times, she still believes in herself. Kendal says the only champion in the ring is her and that she has built her career on big moments, but Kelani interrupts her to tell her that she is swimming with sharks with blood in the water, which causes her to be heavily booed. Kelani says that she will be walking out as number one contender because everyone else is a stand-in while she is a standout. All of a sudden, Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) shows up. Jacy says she cannot wait to see who "the lucky loser" is going to be and that regardless of who wins, they will not take the NXT Women's Championship from her. Jacy then proceeds to mock everyone in the ring. Kelani says she would still be champion if not for "this meathead" Jordynne Grace, and when Jordynne gets in Kelani's face, this starts a brawl, and Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Kendal Grey come out on top against Fatal Influence.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Thea Hail talks with Joe Hendry regarding the men's Iron Survival Challenge when Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace show up to mock them. Ava then looks in the box and finds what looks like several pieces of black fabric.

Josh Briggs beats Tavion heights.

The Culling (Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Izzi Dame) heads to the ring. Izzi says everyone loves Tatum Paxley because they are just like her and have no idea what to be alone, and while she gave her everything, she was so pathetic that she eventually had to stop saving her. She says she did not betray Tatum; instead, she corrected the mistake of thinking Tatum could stand beside her. She says that when everyone ignored Tatum, she carved purpose into her; in return, Tatum tripped over the same insecurities she tried to rip out of her. Izzi says that everything The Culling gave Tatum was not enough for her, and that Tatum could never have become NXT Women's Champion on her own, having only done so because she allowed her to. She says that at Gold Rush, she proved that she could take back everything she gave to Tatum, and at Deadline, it will be the two of them one-on-one. Izzi proclaims that she will finish things between them when Tatum shows up on the TitanTron. Tatum says that Izzi took the one thing that was stable in her life, and while Izzi says she did Tatum a favor, Tatum says she fears what she will become without Izzi's hand on her shoulder and that at Deadline, she will make her feel all of her pain.

Backstage, Sol Ruca apologizes to Zaria, but Zaria has none of it, saying that she had to process things after losing to Blake Monroe. Zaria takes offense to Sol Ruca not being there for her at Gold Rush and tells Sol Ruca not to expect her in her corner tonight.

General Manager Ava oversees the contract signing for Oba Femi vs. Ricky Saints for the NXT Championship at Deadline. Oba Femi signs, then tells Saints that the new version of him will destroy him and make him a footnote. Saints says that the fairytale is over and that there is an exception to the rule and the rules before signing. Ava then announces that their match will open Deadline.

He says he could not have done it without The Judgment Day, then says there is one person he could definitely not have done it without: Liv Morgan, who heads to the ring. Liv Morgan says that nobody saw her coming, including John Cena, and Dominik says that Cena was going to figure out their plan, but once that failed, they decided to play the ace up their sleeve and got back both his title and Liv Morgan. Liv says she missed Raquel and that it is nice to see The Judgment Day, then says that she has been hearing some things about The Judgment Day being weak, having lost some of its gold, and having fallen apart. She says that this will change because she and The Judgment Day are back and coming for everything that is theirs, and as of right now, they run Raw. She then slaps and then jumps on top of Dominik before making out with him.

He also gives a shout-out to Bronson Reed for hitting everyone on the other team with a Tsunami and another to Logan Paul for fitting in with his vision of the future, then announces that CM Punk will lose the World Heavyweight Championship to Bron Breakker on January 5th. Breakker says he is a little upset tonight not because of where they are or the man in black who tried to ruin his moment, but he is disappointed at how easy it was to pin CM Punk, as he thought he would have to dig deep down to beat him. He then calls CM Punk "a soft-ass bitch" and no different from any other veteran who has lived off past glory as well as no different from Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, due to his wife being a bigger star than he is. Breakker says their match will be a different kind of fight, as CM Punk tried to break his neck and ruin his life as well as take away everything he has ever worked for, and for that, he will ruin Punk's life and come for everything.
