Collision Course - Collision recap for May 22, 2025

Adam Cole guests on commentary for tonight's show.

Tony Schiavone brings out FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Stokely Hathaway, followed by Daniel Garcia, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard and Nigel McGuinness, to start tonight's show for a contract signing. Cash Wheeler gives Daniel Garcia one last chance to reconsider as FTR sees him as a son, but says that Garcia is willing to throw everything away for "a bunch of nobodies." He then tells Nigel McGuinness that it will pay for him to shut up and listen rather than be paid to talk like he usually does, and tells him that there will be no commentary table to hide behind or a magic trick to save him as he is a shell of a former man against the greatest tag team in the world. FTR and Stokely sign the contract, then Daniel Garcia says that he has and still does care about FTR, but he has to see FTR for what they are now: two selfish, narcissistic sociopaths. He says that FTR turned his back on him as well as anybody that has ever cared about them, and now that they have crossed too many lines, he is standing up for himself and others who has had enough of them. He admits that FTR is greatest tag team that wrestling has ever seen, but this Sunday will be a fight, not a wrestling match, and he is going to fight. He says that Nigel may have a little bit of doubt, but he sees that look in his eyes and knows that he still has it. Garcia says that if he does not get the Nigel that he sees, then he should not sign the contract. Nigel says it will remain to be seen if he still has, but before he signs, he wants FTR's word that they will not touch, talk to or even look at him or Schiavone ever again or else it will be "Top Guys out for good." Dax takes the microphone and says this is not 2025, not 2009, and that Nigel has a family to think about and that the wrestling business has beaten him up over the years, and if Nigel wants FTR to finish the job, then he can sign the contract knowing that it will be his blood on his own hands and that FTR will hold no responsibilty for whatever happens; otherwise, he can leave the ring and head back to the commentary table where he belongs before touching him. Nigel warns Dax not to touch him, but Dax says this is just business and that they will be businessmen on Sunday before putting his hand on him again. Nigel attacks Dax, starting a brawl, and it ends with Menard keeping Stokely away as security has to break up two submission holds from Garcia and Nigel. Nigel says that if FTR wants to look into his eyes, then he will look into their souls, and signs the contract before stating that this ends on Sunday.

We hear from "Timeless" Toni Storm, who says that some women have died young only to be buried much later, yet Mina Shirakawa has made her feel very much alive. She has admired, appreciated and envied Mina, but now she is here to stay. She always had a premonition that their journey would end in tragedy, and that there is no one more talented than Mina to take her title. She wants Mina to bring her best, and years from know, she will say that they lived.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

The Don Callis Family ("The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita, Trent Beretta, Rocky "Azucar" Romero) beat The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) and Bandido after Takeshita puts a stop to Total Recall and Lance Archer takes out Bandido on the outside.

We hear from Gabe Kidd, who says that he has joined with Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson) because they want to eat AEW from the inside. Moxley says they will paint a picture of the spirit of professional wrestling in blood.
