Generation NXT - NXT recap for May 13, 2025

No Quarter Catch Crew (Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, Tavion Heights, Wren Sinclair) heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Myles Borne talks about how he shocked the world last week when he was the last man standing in a battle royal, and now, he is going to Battleground. He admits he was not expected to win, but that is okay, because he is used to this. He then talks about how he is partially deaf, which affects his speech, but last week, but when he eliminated Ethan page and Shawn Spears, he heard the fans go crazy. Myles says he does not want to be known as "the deaf kid;" he wants to be known by his ability and not his disability. He says that he is the underdog at Battleground and facing a dominant champion, but he fights for those struggling to fight their own fight. Myles says he does not want to be known as "the deaf kid;" he wants to be known by his ability and not his disability. He says that he is the underdog at Battleground and facing a dominant champion, but he fights for those struggling to fight their own fight. Ethan says Myles is worse than Ricky Saints when it comes to pandering to the fans, then states that he will give him his reality check like he did to Saints, stating that Myles' battle royal win was a fluke. Ethan tells Myles that he cannot beat Oba Femi because he is not on his level, then tells him to prove himself by putting his contendership on the line against him in a match. Dempsey tells Myles this is the perfect lesson and fight for him, as iron sharpens iron and he gets to silence his doubters. Myles accepts Ethan's challenge, then General Manager Ava appears. Ava questions Myles' judgment, but sees how badly he wants to prove himself, and makes the match official for later tonight. She then reveals that Dempsey's match with Oba Femi is right now.
