Generation NXT - NXT recap for May 27, 2025

"All Ego" Ethan Page beats Ricky Saints to become the NXT North American Champion in a violent match that sees Ethan Page hit a cutter into the crossbar of an upside-down opened metal folding chair and target Saints' throat throughout the match.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Jazmyn Nyx). Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley argue over who should be taking the NXT Women's Championship, and it leads to Jacy not caring if Fallon is in her corner tonight.

We see a vignette for Mike Santana.

Backstage, Yoshiki Inamura tells Josh Briggs that he returned to Japan, but came back to the United States for him. Inamura receives his leather vest, and while Briggs looks forward to become tag team champions, Inamura has a bigger goal in mind.

Mike Santana beats Tavion Heights.

We see a vignette for The High Ryze (Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe).

Backstage, Andre Chase tells Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors to develop a strategy, but Dixon and Connors only hear the part about taking risks and ask General Manager Ava for a match. They get a six-man tag match against DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin). Once again, Andre Chase is disappointed with Dixion and Connors.

Backstage, Luca Crusifino meets with Tony D'Angelo, and tells him that Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo has kicked him out of the family. He says that he is putting everyone at risk by reaching out to D'Angelo, and that he had to come back after everything that has happened. D'Angelo admits he does not know who to trust anymore, and Crusifino asks D'Angelo to trust him.

Trick Williams heads to the ring. Trick proclaims that he is making history by holding the Total Nonstop Action World Championship as an NXT Superstar, and calls out the fans cheering for him, stating that some of them were booing him before Battleground. He then says that he is the line between NXT and TNA and that he will wear the TNA World Championship with pride after naming off some of the greatest champions and stating none of them compare to him, then says he is turning on the back because they turned his back on him. He says that he will head back to TNA and make some changes, such as renaming TNA "Trick-NA," before Mike Santana shows up and congratulates Trick. Trick tells Santana he made a mistake interrupting "his champion," but Santana says Trick is not his champion after winning the title and trashing TNA, and he will not carry the flag and watch Trick tear TNA down after how he and the locker room built it up. Trick tells Santana he can call the shots only if he carries the weight, and Santana says Trick has already ticked him off and that he says seen people like Trick come and go before calling him "a pretender." He then says he is the realest and illest that Trick has ever come across, and that he will be the one to take the TNA World Championship from him. Trick tells Santana to keep popping off, as he will beat his ass. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella shows up on the TitanTron and announces that Trick will defend the title against Santana next week. Santana offers to shake Trick's hand, but Trick feigns walking away before going for a cheap shot and ultimately getting knocked out of the ring. Santana then raises up the TNA World Championship.

Backstage, Stephanie Vaquer is met by General Manager Ava, who announces that she will have a tag team match against Dalys and Chik Tormenta at Worlds Collide. Stephanie wants to defend her title first, but Lola Vice shows up and states that she wants to team with Stephanie at Worlds Collide.

Jaida Parker beats Tatum Paxley after distracting Tatum with one of her own dolls. After the match, Thea Hail rushes into the ring and attacks Jaida Parker.

Jasper Troy is coming up next!

Jasper Troy beats Dante Chen, who has not been seen since the final episode of NXT LVL UP. After the match, Oba Femi shows up on the balcony and admits that Jasper has impressed him, then hopes Jasper has enjoyed his five seconds of fame, because they are over now that he has his attention.

Backstage, Charlie Dempsey wants Tavion Heights and Myles Borne to return back to tag team wrestling, stating they have both failed, but Myles says he refuses to retreat back into his shell after wrestling Oba Femi. He challenges Dempsey to a match, and if he wins, he leaves No Quarter Catch Crew. Dempsey also makes it so that the match has rounds like in British wrestling. Myles and Dempsey shake hands.

"All Ego" Ethan Page is in the ring to celebrate his championship win, then Je'Von Evans shows up. He mockingly congratulates Ethan before announcing that he will be defending the North American Championship against him. Je'Von then states that he will not be Ethan's only opponent, as Laredo Kid shows up out of the crowd and says he wants Ethan's title. Je'Von then says Ethan has another opponent besides them: Rey Fenix. Rey Fenix comes out of the crowd and states that Ethan will lose his title as quickly as he won it in a Fatal 4-Way Match.

Robert Stone and Stevie Turner meet with General Manager Ava backstage. Ava states she wants the best of NXT and AAA competing for the title, and that "Super" Sean Legacy will face whoever wins the title match at Worlds Collide. Turner then mentions that the first Evolve Women's Champion will soon be crowned, and Stone says he will be there.

Backstage, Tatum Paxley is met by Zaria and Sol Ruca, who offer their friendship as The Culling (Shawn Spears, Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance, Izzi Dame) watches from the distance.

Jacy Jayne beats Stephanie Vaquer to become the NXT Women's Champion! During the match, Dalsy and Chik Tormenta show up and distract . Near the end of the match, Jacy Jayne collides with Fallon Henley as the latter is on the apron. Jacy and Fallon argue, and when Jazmyn Nyx gets between them, she gets shoved. Jazmyn moves to the other side of the ring, but it is to distract the referee so that Fallon can hit Vaquer with a Tiger Feint Kick as Vaquer has Jacy in the Tarantula. Jacy then hits the Rolling Encore to win the match and the title.
