Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for May 10, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews Matchmaker King Cobra at the announce desk. King Cobra announces that Tim Bosby vs. Marko Harris will be two-out-of-three falls with the Cobra Cup on the line and will be today's double main event, and that it will take place right now. King Cobra guests on commentary.

Tim Bosby beats Marko Harris two falls to one (2-1) in a two-out-of-three falls match and retains the Cobra Cup. Bosby wins the first fall early in the match with three Bosplexes followed by the ripcord lariat. Harris wins the second fall with an avalanche cutter followed by a cutter out of the corner. Bosby scores the third and deciding fall with the ankle lock after keeping Harris away from the ropes. After the match, King Cobra awards the Cobra Cup to Bosby and addresses both men, and Harris picks up the Cobra Cup and hands it to Bosby while shaking his hand.

We hear from Nixi XS, who says that she is Las Vegas being a real star because Diana Taylor is not half the star that she is. She says that Diana is not safe from her, and if she shows up next week, she had better watch her back, as she will have a surprise for her that not even Indi Hartwell will save her from.

We see another vignette for The Slaughterhouse ("Jagged" James Dean and "Ruthless" Nick James). We hear from Reverend Ash Taylor, who says that he walked the righteous path further than everyone and was turned on by his flock like a devil in disguise. We then find out that The Slaughterhouse is returning.

We hear from The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal). They state that The Hollywood Clique (Ray Collins and Jay Smooth) cannot keep their noses out of their business and have started something they cannot finish, and that they will learn not only why they should not mess with them, but why The O'Neals rule.

Backstage, Xya Wolfe tells Tim Grind that Lil' Homie Lance is ready, then Lil' Homie shows up and apologizes to Tim Grind. Tim Grind does not want what happened to Flex to happen to Lil' Homie, but it hurts him not to get revenge on The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont), and the next time he sees them, he will show them what the business is.

Dustin Starr interviews Derrick King at the announce desk. Derrick says he is glad to be back, albeit not in a wrestling capacity. We then see a video package narrated by Kevin White that introduces the Junior Heavyweight division and championship. Derrick Starr then officially reveals the Memphis Wrestling Junior Heritage Championship, which will be won in a tournament that will start next week.

We hear from Sycho Simon, who drags an axe across the ground as he continues to put the locker room on notice.

The Twins of Salem (Jackson Crowley and Abel Booker) vs. The Big Manes (K-Toomer and Big John Dalton) for the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships ends with The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Ray Collins, Jay Smooth, Secret Service) attacking both teams with chairs, a pipe and a cane. The Big Manes (K-Toomer and Big John Dalton) retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships. The tag team titles are eventually used as weapons as fans throw trash at The Hollywood Clique and more referees show up to restore order. Jimmy Blaylock declares that nobody is safe as fans throw multiple Twinkies at him, and that they will be taken seriously as they take the tag team titles, and if somebody has to die, then somebody has to die.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against "The Chosen One" Zay Washington in a Memphis Street Fight.
