Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir head to the ring. Moxley says tempers are rising, but spoils will go to those that embrace the anarchy.
The Opps (Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs) and Swerve Strickland beat Jon Moxley and The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) in a trios match. After the match, Moxley and The Young Bucks go on the attack as Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli join in. All of a sudden, "The Wreslter" Katsuyori Shibata shows up and cleans house. Marina Shafir hits Shibata with a low blow, but Willow Nightingale runs in and hits The Pounce before chasing after Shafir. Kenny Omega then shows up and take out Nicholas Jackson, then a table gets introduced. Omega goes for a One Winged Angel through the table on Nicholas, but Claudio Castagnoli saves Nicholas as The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir) and The Young Bucks flee. Samoa Joe then says he has them all on Sunday, then says he is not a waiting man and he wants them tonight.
Backstage, Alicia Atout interviews The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin) and their legal counsel. MVP says this is a momentous occasion to add a fourth member, then says he should ask MJF, who shows up with "Smart" Mark Sterling and a new suit. MVP and MJF shake hands before The Hurt Syndicate leave, then both legal counsels shake hands.
The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin) head to the ring. "Smart" Mark Sterling and The Hurt Syndicate's legal counsel are already in the ring. MVP brings out MJF to induct him into The Hurt Syndicate. MJF says that his mother told him the most important day of your life is when you marry the love of your life, then says his mother never joined The Hurt Syndicate. MVP and MJF make fun of New Mexico before "Smart" Mark Sterling gets the contract signing started. He states that both legal counsels have made sure that both parties benefit, and MJF signs the contract first. MVP and Shelton sign, then Lashley is handed the pen. He take the contract and reads it, but he is still hesitant, and the rest of The Hurt Syndicate has to talk to him. He then signs the contract, then MJF celebrates before The Sons of Texas ("The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara) show up. MJF chews them out for interrupting, but Dustin tells him to shut up, as all he does is talk and barely wrestle when he has no work ethic or grit. He says he hates MJF's guts, and while he has the utmost respect for MVP, he wants him to watch MJF. He then says that he and Guevara are "day one guys" and that they did something special six years ago at Double or Nothing, and now, they have an opportunity to win more gold. Dustin dares Shelton and Lashley to hurt him, and MVP tells him to be careful what he wishes for. Dustin says there is nothing they can do that bigger, better monsters have already done. He tells them that this will not be a walk in the park as they fight with honor and their work ethic is untouchable, and if he were a bettering man, he would bet on "the day one guys."
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, who tells "Speedball" Mike Bailey that he is the one who calls him out, and that Speedball will find out why he is the Continental Champion. He says there is a first time for everything when told that Speedball has yet to be pinned or submitted since his AEW debut.
Ricochet beats Anthony Bowens by hitting him with the golden scissors as referee Paul Turner is dealing with Billy Gunn, who wants to throw Ricochet back into the ring after Bowens hits the Mollywhop. After the match, Mark Briscoe shows up with a stretcher, then hits him with it, places him on top, hits him some more, and goes for the Froggy 'Bow only for Ricochet to roll off and run away.
Backstage, we hear from Stokely Hathaway and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler). He says that FTR are two men who honor the traditional of professional wrestling as much as they are the greatest tag team alive, and want to look Daniel Garcia and Nigel McGuinness in the eye as they sign the contract for their match. He even says that "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard can take part as Nigel signs the last contract of his career.
Renee Paquette hosts a face-to-face interview between Jamie Hayter and Mercedes Moné in the ring. Hayter says that if she is the underdog in their match, then so be it, as people underestimate her only to get hurt and she gets back up and again. She also says she gets things done herself, unlike Mercedes Moné, and that she is a fighter. She says that winning the Owen Hart Tournament means more to her than it does to Mercedes, as it is not just a title shot; it is about not being forgotten. She also says that once again, her back is against the wall, and she laces up her boots and fights hard because that embodies what she is. Mercedes Moné says that she is not worried and that Hayter does not have her figured out, as she is more than a champion; she is a revolution. She tells Hayter that she is looking through her rather than past her and that she always gets what she wants for her destiny is her reality and she will be AEW Women's World Champion. Mercedes mentions her accolades as TBS Champion before stating that this is about more than a championship, but leaving her legacy. She expects Hayter to bring the fight, then says this is where Hayter's chapter finally ends. Hayter mentions that Mercedes is no longer holding the New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong Women's Championship, and says that Mercedes' destiny is to lose everything. Mercedes attacks Hayter, but Hayter fights back and hits the Hayterade. "Timeless" Toni Storm and Luther show up for the next match, and Toni Storm guests on commentary.
Mina Shirakawa beats Julia Hart with a quick pinfall attempt. After the match, Julia attacks Mina from behind, but Mina gets Julia in the Figure Four Leg Lock in the middle of the ring. Skye Blue shows up and kicks Mina in the head, then Toni Storm gets in the ring and suplexes Skye Blue. Toni and Mina both smack Julia Hart around before the two of them play tug of war with the Women's World Championship. Mina hits Toni with the title, then gets the last word with a Figure Four Leg Lock on the ring post.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson), who try to walk out of the arena only to be attacked by Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta) soon show up for the brawl, but so does Willow Nightingale and Marina Shafir. Prince Nana shows up with some chains in his hands, and Swerve Strickland jumps in when the brawl spills its way to the ring. Kenny Omega also shows up, and the brawl soon spreads all over ringside, with "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata even getting involved. Gabe Kidd eventually shows up with the briefcase and hits Samoa Joe with it, then The Death Riders and The Young Bucks get the upper hand. Omega and Swerve end up on top of tables that The Young Bucks soon put them through.
