Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for December 18, 1995

The show begins with a surprise appearance from Alundra Blayze, who says that "my name was Madusa, my name is Madusa and always will be Madusa." She pulls out the WWF Women's Championship, then grabs a nearby trash can. She then drops it into the trash can on camera for all to see, and says "...and that's what I think about the WWF Women's Championship belt." She says she is now in WCW, and that her name used to be Alundra Blayze, but not anymore. She says this is where the big boys play, and that this is now where the big girls play. (This act has major repercussions for years to come, as this leaves Madusa blacklisted from the WWF for years, and is considered by some to be the first big shot in what is eventually called "The Monday Night War" between WWF and WCW.) We then get another surprise appearance from William "The Refrigerator" Perry, who is brought aboard by Steve "Mongo" McMichael and almost breaks Bobby "The Brain" Heenan's hand.

Ric Flair beats Eddie Guerrero by pinfall with the Figure Four Leg Lock while using the ropes for leverage, unbeknownst to the referee. Arn Anderson celebrates with Flair, then "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews the twosome. Anderson says that The Four Horsemen (Flair, Anderson, Flyin' Brian, Chris Benoit) are on a roll, and while he respects "Mr. Wonderful," but says that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. He lays two ground rules for The Horsemen: you don't place individual achievements ahead of the group, and if you jump on one of them, you jump on all of them. Suddenly, The Taskmaster and Jimmy Hart show up. The Taskmaster says that he has respected Anderson and Flair for a long time, but says that Flyin' Brian is a loose cannon waiting to happen in response to Flyin' Brian knocking his entire Dungeon of Doom last week. He tells Anderson to keep Flyin' Brian on a short leash, or he'll come looking for him. Ric Flair complies, but Anderson does not, and says that if he goes looking for Flyin' Brian, he'll be finding him and Flair.

Sgt. Craig "Pitbull" Pitmann shows up, and asks Bobby "The Brain" Heenan to manage him to the World title. Heenan says he can't due to his broadcast journalist duties, and says he'd be happy to find someone suitable for him. Pitmann says if he doesn't get any help soon, he won't be taking any prisoners.

Lex Luger beats Marcus Alexander Bagwell with the Torture Rack. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger and Jimmy Hart after the match. Luger says he is breathless as he goes through each opponent, and says that he's done everything possible to "Macho Man" Lex Luger and that he'd be WCW World Heavyweight Champion if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan.

As for Lex Luger, Sting says that Luger omitted his name on purpose earlier tonight, and that he himself would love to become a six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion in nine nights from now.

Halloween Havoc 1995 is available tomorrow at video stores everywhere!

The Giant vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship ends with Hulk Hogan running in and hitting The Giant, The Taskmaster, an official and even a referee with a steel chair. Steve "Mongo" McMichael and William "Refrigerator" Perry have to run in to calm Hogan down. Hogan tends to Savage after the chaos.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Hogan is irritated with the fact that Ric Flair and The Giant get title shots while suspended, but he doesn't. The Giant shows up, and The Taskmaster and Sgt. Craig "Pitbull" Pittman try to hold The Giant back, but Hogan takes the steel chair and hits The Giant in the head with it again before going after The Taskmaster. Hogan then tells Savage he owes him a title shot. Savage says he has to defend against Ric Flair first, and Hogan wishes him luck against Flair, knowing he can get the job done. When Savage beats Flair, he has to get past Starrcade, and if and when he retains the title, he will defend against Hogan. Hogan asks the crowd if they want to see this, and the crowd goes wild. Hogan warns Steve "Mongo" McMichael and William "Refrigerator" Perry "not to get in [his] arena again." Savage then asks for the steel chair, he plans to get the "autographs" of The Giant and The Taskmaster on it and make a fortune.

Brother Love then tells King Mabel he has a surprise for him, and Mabel says he doesn't like surprises. The surprise is none other than a druid pushing a casket draped in black towards the ring. The druid then walks onto the apron, and the druid is none other than...Sir Mo. King Mabel thinks Sir Mo has been turned against him, until the black draping is removed from the casket to reveal that it is The Undertaker's casket. Ahmed tells tells Lawler to show some respect, or he can have him in the ring. Suddenly, Dean Douglas shows up, looks at Ahmed and says he might have what it takes to be a superstar, and that the road to superstardom takes place in "his classroom," which just so happens to be the ring. He reminds Hart that he is a marked man with the WWF Championship around his shoulder, and mentions Hart's recent match with Diesel at Survivor Series. As Brother Love refuses to let Hart speak, he mentions a probable championship match with The Undertaker, and insinuates that Bret has made his mother cry by fighting his brother Owen Hart before mentioning the Harts' one last match at In Your House in a few weeks. Hart finaly gets his hand on Brother Love's wrist and reminds Owen of how cheaply he beat him when they crossed paths in the ring. As for The Undertaker, he'll cross that bridge when he comes to it. He tells The British Bulldog that he will find out it's a dog-eat-dog world and that what goes around, comes around, as he plans to redeem himself for what happened at SummerSlam 1992. After the show is over, Bret Hart and Brother Love argue until Bob Backlund sneaks up on him from behind and puts Hart in the Cross Face Chicken Wing, saying that Hart is a disgrace.

He says that "Macho Man" Randy Savage will bring the head of Meng on a silver platter, and says that he has no idea where Sting's head is at after what happened between him and Lex Luger last week, and can't tell if Sting is friend or foe. He plans to look Sting in the eye in the near future and find out where he's coming from, because if he is on the Dungeon's side, then Sting's name is moving up to the top of the hit list.

The Taskmaster says he stayed awake at night for 10 years trying to figure out how to stop Hulkamania, and now that the biggest pay-per-view event ever is here, everyone will be going for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He says that The Giant has won World War 3 before it has even begun...and so does The Giant himself, who says he will end Hulkamania forever and become the world champion forever, too.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting after the break. Sting tells Hulk Hogan he has nothing against him, and never dreamed that Hulk Hogan would be knocking on his door looking for him. He looks forward to his match with Hogan next week so they can square their business away.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 13, 1995

This morning, WWF Interim President Gorilla Monsoon declares Razor Ramon vs. Sycho Sid with special guest referee The 1-2-3 Kid to be a non-title match after some unfortunate confrontations between Razor and The Kid led him to question the impartiality of THe Kid as special guest referee.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Henry Godwinn - the later now known as Henry O. Godwinn - ends in a rather ingenious way: Godwinn dumps the bucket of slop all over himself, causing Helmsley to retreat due to the smell, only to slip and fall twice on the puddle of slop outside of the ring. The referee almost slips and falls once before Godwinn chases Helmsley to the back.

We see a video package of "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels.

Ahmed Johnson beats Jake Steel in his Raw debut.
During the match, we see a message from "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels where he says he can trust Ahmed Johnson and knows that the two of them together will be able to survive. Also, it is announced that Michaels will take on Owen Hart next week.

Vince McMahon conducts a special interview with both Diesel and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart via satellite. Diesel has respect for Hart, but he's confident of his abilities and knows he has to defend the WWF Championship. Hart, on the other hand, still can't sit well with how he lost the WWF Championship last time, as well as the fact that neither of them have beaten each other yet and the fact that he never got a rematch for the title. Hart says he also has the utmost respect for Diesel and thinks he's a great wrestler, especially given the fact that he has held the WWF Championship for over a year, buy says that faster guys with technical wrestling skills give Diesel more of a run for his money compared to other big men his size, and thinks that he's picking bigger guys on purpose so guys like him can't get title shot. Diesel says Hart was the first person he challenged, and says that if he wanted to duck a technical guy, Hart would be the last he would duck. Diesel says he'll survive Survivor Series by playing to his strengths and knocking Hart out. Hart is concerned with what a bigger man can do to him, but Hart is still up for the challenge even though Diesel has him well scouted, and plans to outlast Diesel for the title. Diesel says that he's bigger, better and smarter than he was in January. Hart says that dreams still push him to drive for the WWF Championship.

Vince McMahon and The King advertise Karate Fighters.

Before the next match, we hear pre-recorded comments from The Undertaker, who says that vengeance will be his at Survivor Series. Once again, 'Taker's face is obscured from view.

King Mabel beats Roy Raymond. Jim Ross talks about some of the injuries to some of the Superstars participating in Survivor Series on Option 6 of the WWF Superstar Hotline.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 6, 1995

WCW Interactive Calling Cards presents "You Call The Shots!" You can choose one star from The Red Locker Room (Ric Flair, Meng, Diamond Dallas Page, "Lord" Steven Regal, "Squire" David Taylor, Big Bubba, Shark, Scott "Flash" Norton) and one star from The Blue Locker Room (Sting, Johnny B. Badd, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Dave Sullivan, "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, Jerry Sags, Brian Knobbs, Mr. J.L.) to face each other in tonight's live main event.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage is in the building, but is not allowed by doctors to wrestle tonight. He is reported to be throwing furniture backstage.

The Giant beats Cobra with a single choke slam after intimidating ring announcer David Penzer into proclaiming the match to be for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, even though The Giant is still not the official champion.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is with The Red Locker Room (Ric Flair, Meng, Diamond Dallas Page, "Lord" Steven Regal, "Squire" David Taylor, Big Bubba, Shark, Scott "Flash" Norton). Shark and Nrto are too busy fighting each other. Meanwhile, Tony Schiavone is with The Blue Locker Room (Sting, Johnny B. Badd, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Dave Sullivan, "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, Jerry Sags, Brian Knobbs, Mr. J.L.). Both men are aggressive and ready to fight each other...except for "Lord" Steven Regal and "Squire" David Taylor, who would much rather sit behind everyone else and drink tea like gentlemen.

Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage are back in Venice Beach, California...and Macho Man is dressed in black just like Hogan. They're going for The Dungeon of Doom, but Savage asks how much more has to be sacrificed. While Hulk stays in the dark side, Macho Man plans to go to the light side and see who's friend and who's foe.

The Taskmaster beats The Renegade as Jimmy Hart aggravates his former client Renegade with his microphone, telling him that he could have been the next Hulk Hogan if he had only listened to him. After the match, Jimmy Hart splashes a drink on Renegade, saying he's "plain ol' Rick" and that he is nothing.

The lights go out on The Blue Locker Room (Sting, Johnny B. Badd, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Dave Sullivan, "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, Jerry Sags, Brian Knobbs, Mr. J.L.) and then back on as Ric Flair tells Sting to come and get him.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Kurasawa vs. Arn Anderson! The debut of Disco Inferno's music video! "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan goes to Ireland!

Eddie Guerrero beats Chris Benoit despite Benoit's feet being underneath the ropes. During the match, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan's mysterious business partner is seen having a meal with some businessmen at a table in the crowd, and Jushin "Thunder" Liger is seen sitting at the other end of the table.

Tony Schiavone is with The Blue Locker Room (Sting, Johnny B. Badd, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Dave Sullivan, "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, Jerry Sags, Brian Knobbs, Mr. J.L.) one more time. Sting says he will leave Ric Flair for dead as promised for using children to sucker him into being his partner and turning on him if he and Flair are in the main event.

WCW Fall Brawl is is in video stores everywhere tomorrow, November 7th!

Sting and Ric Flair are the winners from the Red Locker Room and Blue Locker Room respectively from tonight's phone vote.

Despite foul play from Ric Flair, Sting beats Ric Flair with the Scorpion Death Lock but refuses to let go after the bell rings. Two more referees try to break the hold, and Mr. J.L. and Eddie Guerrero have to talk Sting into letting go of the hold. Dave Sullivan also shows up to convince Sting to let go, as does Johnny B. Badd and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Doug Dillinger shows up as soon as Sting is separated from Flair, but as soon as Sting sees Lex Luger heading towards the ring, Sting gets back in the ring and puts Flair in the Scorpion Death Lock again. Lex Luger speaks to Sting, and Stings releases the Scorpion Death Lock again. All of the other wrestlers in the ring are confused as to what is going on, leading the commentary booth to wonder if Sting and Lex Luger are in cahoots.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart, The Taskmaster and The Giant. Hart says he was taking care of business while Hogan was making "B-grade movies" because he had the power of attorney to do it, and when Hogan wanted to step in the ring against The Giant, he signed the contract for it because of said power of attorney. He says that Hogan failed to realize one thing: when the contract was made, it was stipulated that if Hogan lost by disqualification at Fall Brawl, The Giant would become the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The Taskmaster says he also signed that contract, and says it wasn't his or The Giant's fault that Hogan got disqualified. "Mean" Gene Okerlund brings out Nick Lambros, who is part of the legal department and an attorney in connection with the Championship Committee. He says that Hart is partially correct, but The Giant is not the World Champion. He has been on the phone with WCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel, who has confirmed that because of the dubious nature of the disqualification, the title will be held up, and it will be awarded to the winner of the three-ring batlle royal at World War 3 on November 26th. The Giant refuses to give up the title, and The Taskmaster calls this decision part of Hogan and WCW's agenda. He hands the belt to Lambros, confidently saying that The Giant will win the title back at World War 3.

Next week: Meng vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage! Eddie Guerrero vs. Johnny B. Badd for the World Television Championship! Sting vs. Dean Malenko!

We get a recap of Sting and Ric Flair vs. Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian at Halloween Havoc, then Schiavone interviews Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian in the ring. Brian brags about how they tricked Sting and got one step closer to making a new Four Horsemen. Arn Anderson tells Sting not to hold down his head in shame, as he fought two of the Horsemen for ten minutes. Flair says they are back, and whether we like it or not, the soon-to-be Four Horsemen are going to be the best thing going today. He then tells Sting that they'll be in the house next week, ready to go to work.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Chris Benoit vs. "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright! Arn Anderson and Ric Flair vs. The Renegade and The Cobra! Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) defend the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Blue Bloods ("Lord" Steven Regal and "Squire" David Taylor)!

We see footage of the ending to the main event from Halloween Havoc. After this, Tony Schiavone interviews The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster, Jimmy Hart, The Giant, Lex Luger). He was The Taskmaster's only manager in his entire life and considers him his past, while he considers Lex Luger and The Giant his future. Luger makes fun of Hogan lying flat on his back, and tells Hogan he got a piece of him and The Giant. The Giant says he will defend the title next week with anyone who gets in the ring with him. The Taskmaster says he warned Hogan that this would happen, and that The Giant is a fighting champion.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 30, 1995

Goldust beats Savio Vega in his Raw debut.

As per WWE Interim President Gorilla Monsoon, there will be stipulations for Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and Diesel for the WWF Championship No count-outs, no disqualifications and no time limit.

Razor Ramon and Owen Hart reportedly have a shoving match backstage. By the time the backstage cameras are able to focus on the action, The 1-2-3 Kid is trying to calm Razor Ramon down.

Vince McMahon interviews Jim Cornette, Clarence Mason and The British Bulldog in the ring. Cornette isn't too thrilled about what happened at In Your House, and says The British Bulldog is still being passed over for opportunities, as The British Bulldog won by disqualification but Diesel is still the one going to Survivor Series to defend against Bret "The Hit Man" Hart (even though the title does not change hands by disqualification). Cornette wants to get Bulldog a return match against Diesel (for the championship) or Bret Hart (for costing him the title). He then says that Clarence Mason will help get The British Bulldog a fair shake. Mason says that the actions of Gorilla Monsoon are "outrageous, egregious and totally unacceptable," and that the contract specifically stated that the winner of the match would face Bret "The Hit Man" Hart at Survivor Series, not necessarily the WWF Champion. Mason demands that Bulldog get a match with Hart, as he would be WWF Champion if it wasn't for Hart. As for the wild card match at Survivor Series, Cornette says that Monsoon is trying to shift the balance of power by forcing The British Bulldog and the team Yokozuna and Owen Hart onto opposite sides. As for next week's match with Marty Jannetty, it's just something that Bulldog shouldn't even be thinking about right now, but Cornette and Bulldog agree that Jannetty will be easil used as a stepping stone. Jannetty runs into the ring, having heard this from backstage, and attacks Bulldog from behind before knocking Cornette out of the ring. Jannetty then confronts Clarence Mason, and nearly slaps him before he can get out of the ring.

Also, Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji show up, and Jim Cornette tells them Razor Ramon hit him in the eye. After the match, The 1-2-3 Kid fights Yokozuna but ends up on the short end of the stick. All of a sudden, Ahmed Johnson shows up and easily body slams Yokozuna as soon as he turns around. When The British Bulldog gets in the ring, he instantly gets the attention of Ahmed, who dares him to make a move as the show ends.

The Master and The Taskmaster are seen at the ramp. The Master says that the moon is full over the arena and that there will be a total eclipse in the East, and that Hulkamania around the globe will be destroyed with the help of The Giant and "the insurance policy." The Taskmaster says that The Giant will lead us in to the next century, and that the evil side of Hulk Hogan will soon consume him. He also says that Lex Luger, Sting and "Macho Man" Randy Savage are all vultures and that Hulk does not have a friend in the universe. He then tells Hulk Hogan that "lightning does not strike twice in this universe."

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart, Hulk Hogan, recent Harley-Davidson winner Mike Hill from Coleman, Alabama and his fiancee; Harley-Davidson dealer and friend of Hulk Hogan, Tony Carlini; and Harley-Davidson dealership manager Doris Taylor, who is part of the "Carlini Connection." Hulk Hogan says the presentation of the Harley-Davidson gives him that little extra edge for his match. Doris Taylor congratulates Mike for the win with an apparel package as well as some perks for the motorcycle at the dealership in nearby Redford. Hulk Hogan says that he's going to squash The Giant just like The Giant squashed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle weeks ago. Mike Hill says he's going to straddle the motorcyle and ride it all the way back home.

Nevertheless, he tells Savage to be ready as he plans to be all over Savage when the bell rings and tear him apart piece by piece, as he wants to be WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

Bob Chandler joins Eric Bischoff and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan on commentary. We learn first hand just how powerful Hulk Hogan's monster truck is as he guests on commentary for the monster truck sumo match.

Hulk Hogan pushes The Giant's monster truck out of the ring to win the monster truck sumo match. After this, The Giant goes after Hulk Hogan and tries to toss him off the roof the building where the monster truck sumo battle takes place (which is next to the arena), but Hulk fights back and The Giant unintentionally goes over the edge of the rooftop. Hulk Hogan looks for help. Eric Bischoff asks Tony Schiovane to replace him on commentary while he checks on the situation.

Jimmy Hart shows up to watch the next match from ringside as it goes on. He gets on the apron to distract the referee only for "Macho Man" Randy Savage to Irish whip Lex Luger into him and hit the elbow drop on Luger. "Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Lex Luger.

Due to what happened after the monster truck sumo match, Hulk Hogan enters the ring first for the next match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He says that The Giant falling over the edge of the rooftop wasn't supposed to happen, but before he can explain himself, The Giant somehow appears with The Taskmaster to enter the ring. Michaels has some more tests on Wednesday that he hopes to pass, and he hopes to be back in about a week.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 23, 1995

"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Kurasawa.

After the first match, the arena goes black. We hear from The Master, who says the insurance policy for The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster, The Giant, The Zodiac, The Shark, Kamala) has been delivered from the Himalayas in a 13-foot-tall block of ice: The Yeti. "Mean" Gene interviews The Taskmaster and The Giant, who says that Hulk Hogan dresses in black because he now walks in the shadow of madness and says that there's no goodness left in Hogan. The Giant says he will take the last life of the "red-and-white Bengal Tiger" Hulk Hogan and take the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hulk Hogan at the entrance ramp. Hulk knows it's the eleventh hour and that he might be boxed in, but he isn't afraid of The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster, The Giant, Kamala, The Shark, The Zodiac, The Yeti). He says that after Halloween Havoc, he just might hang on to the black gloves as everyone knows what a man with black gloves and a black bandanna is capable of. As he takes his neck brace off and throws it down, he says he won't lick his wounds anymore and call his "main man" Tony Carlini at the California Connection and get a big black Harley-Davidson to drag The Giant around with. As for Sting, "Macho Man' Randy Savage and Lex Luger, he tells them all to get in line and decide who's bad enough so he can beat them all one at a time.

During the match, it is announced that Scott "Flash" Norton is fighting with The Shark backstage, weeks after The Shark inadvertently cost Norton a match. Bunkhouse Buck and "Dirty" Dick Slater try to hold Norton back as The Zodiac tries to keep The Shark at arm's length. After the match, Flyin' Brian rushes out beats up Eddie Guerrero for absolutely no reason, hitting him with a DDT on the concrete floor near the entrance ramp.

Sting and Lex Luger beat Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray). During the match, Sister Sherri is seen looking at Polaroid pictures of herself and Col. Robert Parker. After the match, The Taskmaster and The Giant show up, and The Giant choke slams both Sting and Luger. "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up to confront The Giant as The Taskmaster runs away, and Hulk Hogan shows up soon after "Macho Man" Randy Savage gets out of the ring so Hulk can confront The Giant himself. Hulk is able to land only two right hands before The Giant lands a clubbing blow, but that only gets Hogan to Hulk up and fight back. The Taskmaster and the rest of the Dungeon of Doom (The Zodiac and The Shark) show up, but Hulk and Savage clean house before a huge rumbling sound can be heard. The block of ice at the entrance ramp breaks, and a giant mummy pops out of it in the final few seconds of the show.
